  1. Yea, Dorkly did a funny piece - apologizing for thick legged sonic since they felt responsible. http://www.dorkly.com/post/87586/sorry-internet-dorkly-is-responsible-for-thicc-leg-sonic
  2. I’m just enjoying the Internet’s reaction to this movie poster. It has been incredibly entertaining.
  3. If Shartimus Prime is eligible, I nominate him for consideration.
  4. I need this in my life, but my wallet will not allow it. Looks amazing. Great review!
  5. 1998 was hot garbage with GINO. It had a decent monster design, but it had no heart. It was just a vehicle for Roland Emmerich’s city destruction movie. 2014 had plenty of issues and flaws, but it did a good job establishing a foundation to build additional movies off of. The Godzilla was not too far removed from the source material and had far more character. Unfortunately, Godzilla was reduced to a supporting role in his own movie, he wasn’t centric to the story at all. It was more about the MUTOs and...Brody (horrible decision IMO). Despite those shortcomings, it still created a successful American Godzilla film, one that facilitated the creation of monsterverse. 2016 Shin Godzilla did this much better. Godzilla has about the same screen time as 1014, but Shin’s presence is always felt throughout the film. He is the center of the story, on or off the screen. 2017 Kong: SI confirmed the targeted audience wanted more rampaging monsters, particularly its title star. Monster driven stories tend to work better for monster films, go figure. It seems that KOTM has learned and is delivering. Really hoping we get the film being portrayed in the trailers.
  6. Heard there was other monsters in KOTM besides the main four and this trailer seems to confirm their presence. Time will tell if they’re Legendary originals or homages to classic kaiju.
  7. Love the Marvel movies, but I’m more excited for this release than Endgame. Been a Godzilla fan since I was a kid, the one constant in my life.

  10. Still looking good, always loved Baraka’s character. Fun fact - while coming up with new ideas for characters in MK II, designers visited a local costume shop and found a Nosferatu mask that inspired Baraka. They ended up painting it and attaching silver false fingernails to serve as teeth to get the more iconic look.
  11. Love the classic designs seen in the trailers, but I’ll catch this on Netflix. Haven’t seen anything that makes me want to see this in theaters. I was done with this franchise after the sequel.

Nomiations - Toy Company Of The Year

Even though I prefer NECA, I’m gonna have to go with Hasbro for 2018. The sheer volume of product and effort puts them at the top for me. They may not have the details of the collector grade figures, but the figures they put out still look great on display.

Nominations - Toy Line Of The Year

Yea, Marvel Legends definitely up their game in 2018. Numerous waves released, epic BAFs, vast character lineup, quality improvement, etc. Definitely has my vote.

Raphael (TMNT) reads the NY Post

Good use of forced perspective to remake the movie scene.

SH Figuarts Infinity War Rocket Raccoon Review

Easily the best Rocket figure IMO, at least for MCU. Great review.
