  1. Exactly, I know these aren't going to be for everybody but they do a great job of hitting a very niche market of collectors. I find that the comments about these are either along the lines of "Yay, I love theses!" or "Yuk, these are trash!". I have been lucky enough to get my hands on the next wave of these figures and apparently they are manufactured a bit more sturdy than the previous lot. Fingers crossed I don't end up with another busted figure in need of repair.
  2. These things are cool looking but have brittle inner groin connections.
  3. Today we look at the new DC Essentials Joker and Batgirl with all of their flaws and successes.
  4. So I managed to get my paws on the 1:18 scale Superman and the Batman Injustice 2 action figures from Hiya Toys and, although I know some collectors are going to really like these, I just wasn't really that impressed at the quality for the $19.99 price point. I get that they are small so errors are greatly magnified but I just feel like the fan base would have been better served having figures of these characters made in the 6" or 7" scale.
  5. This is the DC Essentials Harley Quinn. With her release it marks the first time we get to see a basic naked she-buck with all of its proportions and generic detail. Overall I thought this was a good figure and accurately represents her character but the face...well that's another story. If mine had have turned out as good as the final promotional prototype she'd be golden but mine was full of paint defect. I may just order a second one to see if it happens twice.
  6. Here is my take on the newly released DC Essentials Nightwing action figure from DC Collectibles. I want to mention here that one point I was planning on talking about that I forgot is that there is no place to put his eskrima sticks.
  7. I Think I'd have to say the Mezco Keaton Batman, Harley Quin and Wonder Woman with The DC Collectibles Essentials Red Hood stole the show for me, I was pleasantly pleased with the few Batman centered Multiverse reveals but wish there was more brought out from them from the stuff we know is coming. Finally, I'm actually really stoked about those Luchador figures. I would have made sense for there to be a Bane and Doomsday in that style but they may be coming too. Who knows.
  8. This is a figure which evaded me for quite some time but I finally got her. I love how this suit seems so influenced by the 66 Batgirl and here is my take on this very cool Batgirl figure. PS. I forgot to mention the articulation at the top of the boots. Oops.
  9. Just got this one posted this morning. These figures as usual because they are DC Essentials, left me partially stoked and a little let down. Just a little. I still recommend these guys to you if you are a Shazam or Black Adam fan. Also if you have been collecting all of the previously released DC Essential then these 2 will be a must for you also.
