  1. ^ I feel like ‘god’ is the last thing that would exist, lest be an excuse for anything, in the Watchmen universe... Unless we’re talking about Dr. Manhattan. And we know that he was effectively just a pawn, in all of that.
  2. It would be kind of cool to see that original Batmobile cropping up in the film, perhaps tying the events to that particular decade, or something... Although, I’ve no idea when exactly The Joker is supposed to take place. But, it certainly seems much more plausible that it was just on its way to a car show. I can’t imagine they’d run the risk of potentially further alienating fans by shoving such an iconic, classic car into this movie, which wouldn’t be about the Cesar Romero iteration of Joker.
  3. That was something that struck me, back when they first announced his appearing in Supergirl... To be fair, I thought he was supposed to be Superboy! But, next to Melissa Benoist, he worked relatively well enough. Next to Gustin and Amell in that photo, maaan, he comes across even more as a pseudo-Superboy, not Superman. Unless it’s some weird, fish-eyed lense, forced perspective, lol.
  4. Lando, and especially Leia, are two absolute must haves, for me... Rio was a fun character in Solo, and I could see wanting to get my hands on him eventually. But, there are already so many other Black Series figures that I want to get, can never seem to find, and can only ever barely afford. So, he’ll probably sit on the back burner want list, for quite a while.
  5. Ever since my first encounter with Star Tours, in the then, Disney’s MGM Studios, circa early 90s, I was captivated by the two clear-domed astromechs you would see in the opening queue line. And, ever since, I have always scoured all of the Star Wars movies to see if I could pinpoint other clear-domed droids, in them. This being largely before the internet, and scores of blogs and encyclopedias categorizing every single nut and bolt that flashes on screen for mere seconds. So, it was largely to little avail for me, back then. And while this droid isn’t strictly transparent, I really dig that you can still see hints of his inner workings. He looks like he should glow in the dark too, which would be a whole other level of awesomesauce.
  6. I would’ve loved it if this was done in the Rebels CG animated style... But, I can live with it. It comes across to me as probably slightly cheaper to produce, since they don’t have to really get in there with heavy details and cell shading and such. But, I’m no expert, so I could be entirely wrong. I’m just glad that the overall vibe has kept me interested. And, when they really start to roll out more First Order stuff, that’ll probably really get my excitement up.
  7. That’s very cool — thanks for the confirmation!
  8. Of all the things they’d make a prop replica of, this is probably one I would’ve least expected... Mostly because, as many times as I have watched Scarface, I don’t ever remember seeing this prop. Which is a good enough excuse to pop it in again, so I can try to catch where exactly it shows up.
  9. Hmm... Bummer. I was hoping to see him back in the traditional blue and red. I guess maybe they figured, since fans were ‘robbed’ of this suit aesthetic in Justice League, or whatever, they’d do it in the crossover. Meh.
  10. So much of this feels like a ‘tail that wags the dog’ kind of problem... WB came out and announced all of these ambitious titles, without any real concrete plan in line to go over, step-by-step. And, as we see, they certainly had no contingency plan, to speak of. And, it’s a real shame to see it all imploding in on itself now, especially as these characters are some of my all-time favorites. Superman and his Justice League compatriots are tantamount to the ‘Epic of Gilgamesh’ and ‘Hercules’ myths of old. They’re fantastical, and wondrous. And WB doesn’t seem to know thing one about how to best utilize them. The same problem currently exists with their ‘Titans’ series, as far as I’m concerned. They keep trying to reinvent the wheel, because they think audiences will find their characters old and stale, as-is. And I just have to wonder — and, I say this as someone who has mostly enjoyed the DCEU films, thus far — how many screw-ups are they going to have to go through, before they take a step back, take stock, and learn something from their impetuous mistakes??
  11. It’s like Hellraiser meets Batman... And, I just kind of have to ask, why? I mean, it seems to me that they’re just going to milk Batman in every way conceivable. Ad infinitum, ad nauseam. I know he’s a popular character — the Wolverine, if you will, of the DC Comics pantheon. And, I absolutely remember all of those infinite, alternate armor and style Batman figures, from my youth. But c’mon, I’m surprised there isn’t a line of Bat-tools; Hammers, crowbars, drills and screwdrivers. Because everything else has already been done; Dinnerwear, bed linens, et al.
  12. Actually, you were right — I looked it up, and found out through the ‘My Figure Collection’ site, that it will indeed be two separate releases... Somebody was even complaining, saying why can’t the coat and face be accessories along with the regular Spike. But, I looked closer at the sculpt of the suit on both of them, and there are more creases and fabric folds on the ‘Real Folk Blues’ Spike, to enhance the distress I suppose of his battle with Vicious. So yea, they’ll be two individual releases. I’m definitely going to want to get my hands on one of them, at least. If not both. And I echo your sentiments for a Vicious — I was lucky to land myself the Play Arts Kai Spike a while ago, for an affordable price, but have yet to get the matching Vicious, from that line. And, with their doing Spike like this, it really makes me hope they’re going to eventually put out the whole Bebop crew, since they never went beyond Spike and Vicious in the Kai line.
  13. Oh cool, I didn’t know they were doing these... It’s not quite ‘Rebels Recon’, but it’s cool to see them calling out some of the nods to Star Wars lore that’s making it into the series, and where it all fits. After digging into the first few episodes of the series proper, I have to say that I’m pleasantly surprised by how much I’m enjoying it. I was initially turned off by the animation style, via the previews. But, it literally became a non-issue, once I actually got into the show. Of course, being that it’s aimed for a younger audience, as Rebels was, they run a little fast and loose with the kooky humor. And have yet to really delve into any meaty drama. But, so far, I’m down with it.
  14. Yea, I’ve always been a fan of that look / design for her, as well.
  15. This is one sick looking custom! I love how all of the images carry the Lobo logo, too. It looks like an official release that might’ve come out back in the 90s!
