It's been a long time since I have commented anything here but this caught my attention.
This price is absolutely insane. Cannot be "tariffs" alone. No other company had this big of a price hike. And that's excluding potential surcharges.
Yes the so called tariffs are moronic and make no sense economically, but toy companies are no fools and they will raise prices more than they should. This thing will very likely go away eventually, but process will never be the same again. Super 7 is already in a bad shape, losing licenses and cancelling figures and lines, not to mention that their sales are low and a lot of their product ends up on discount.
Hasbro and Mattel can take her heat and yeah they will also raise prices. But proportionality less.
The smaller guys cannot. If they're not financially healthy, they will go under.
Yes. I know. The retailers are impacted too and the logic is the same.
This hobby, like many other things will never be the same.
This seems obvious, but it's worth taking about. I'm glad I'm done with Thundercats and the Light up Lion-O is my last purchase. That's only because I got It before this whole mess.
Anything to add, guys?
