Makes me want to go back and get another Suicide Squad Harley figure from Figuarts. That's a great one. One of the best facial likenesses in 1/12 scale in my opinion. This doesn't appeal to me as much. I don't like the gold or the roller skates and the likeness seems a little softer than last time. Not interested in the movie either, I'd rather have a Huntress solo film.

I don't like that gap underneath her breasts, it reminds me of that Evangelion figure that came out a while ago that had the same issue. Looks good overall, but the Spike was a bit of a disappointment, I don't think the likeness ended up being as strong as their Dragon Ball figures are. Cool that they're continuing the line though. Hopefully we can get the full crew for once.

MAFEX Hush Superman Figure Official Images And Info From Medicom
Thinwheat replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
Already preordered. This is the figure everybody called before they announced it was coming. I'm glad it is, he looks great. I think the grimace and the angry heads are nice, but it would be good to have a more neutral looking expression in there too, with as much as they charge for these figures, they probably should have. Looks cool though, I think the Hush Batman still looks better. I'm a big Superman fan though so I preordered this the first chance I got. Next year will be a good year for releases. -
I want to see what that swappable cape piece looks like. When they originally teased Supreme, they showed the regular release with long ears like this figure has. I guess some things must have switched during production. Hopefully we still get a version of this batman with the long ears and the smiling face in black. Probably the MDX or the Toy Fair exclusive. I like the regular version more than this one, I think. But if they make a figure with the long ears in black, that'll be the one I end up with.

Golden Axe 1/12 Skeleton Warrior 2-Pack From Storm Collectibles
Thinwheat replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
Around $50 for the pair isn't too bad. Still a little high for what would essentially be an accessory. Plus I assume these will be a bit big for Legends or most imports. Looks cool though. -
I'm really getting tired of Gomez. Skipped out on the last two preorders and no interest in the Asia exclusives either. I wish they'd spend more time giving us some stuff based off of real properties. Like how about a manga or movie inspired actual Lone Wolf and Cub set instead of this Gomez and Grub garbage? How about a Two Face or any other Batman villain? How about some Spiderman Villains? How about releasing a decent Superman? Do some video game characters. Enough of the Gomez already.

6" Action Force Figures Coming Your Way From Valaverse
Thinwheat replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
I think I still need some real G.I. JOE figures even if I got these. The feel isn't quite Joe here. Maybe it's the colors or the cartoon aesthetic or something. Something's not quite Joe feeling about these. They're a little generic, but I guess you'd be army building at that's the point. Glad it got funded for those who are into it though. -
The Elder Scrolls V Alduin Dragon From McFarlane Toys

Soon to be found in the clearance aisle at Walmart with the Game of Thrones dragons probably. -
Sony Playstation And Sega Saturn Model Kits From Bandai

I saw this on BBTS the other day and actually thought it was electronics at a glance. lol I wonder if they would ever do this for an actual working system. They give you an unassembled, but fully functional system that you can assemble yourself, with the trickier parts already assembled most of the way. I've never opened up a system though so I couldn't say how fun or how interesting that would actually be. -
Walgreens Exclusive 7" Doom Slayer Variant Figure From McFarlane Toys
Thinwheat replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
My local Walgreens has almost entirely stopped getting new action figures. They still have two full rows of DD and Ant Man exclusives. They didn't sell so I guess the location hasn't felt the need to order new stuff. It's pretty sad. If they had ordered some Legends FF or X-Men exclusive stuff, they would have sold for sure. Walgreens exclusives are the hardest for me to get. I usually have to resort to aftermarket. -
"Kiss of death" So dramatic! Mattel has been creatively dead for a while now anyway. Aside from a few hits in their Jurassic Park line, their "boy" toys are terrible. I wonder how Barbie sales are doing? Coincidentally, I just finished re-watching Breaking Bad to prepare for El Camino. I wonder if Ted Beneke works at Mattel now? haha!

I wish Funko put a little more effort into the quality control on their action figures for this line. These feel incredibly cheap. I love the character designs, though. This is a show that if it had a quality toy line, would be really fun to collect. I just can't justify spending money on these figures, they just feel so cheap. Like picking up a knockoff of a better figure. It's a shame. When they first announced the action figure line, I was very excited because I had watched an interview with one of the writers for the show when it first started and he had expressed a desire to get figures made and a few years later Funko made their announcement. I still like to check them out in person when I see them at retail, but even at sale price, I can't bring myself to pick them up. They're just too cheap feeling.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling Ultimates Figures From Super7
Thinwheat replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
I don't like any kind of wrestling, but these are actually pretty tempting. I like the look these guys have, but it'll have to depend on what they look like in hand. They're up for preorder on BBTS, so I'll wait for a review before deciding. Tanahashi looks really cool. -
They have to do away with the pin that's on the front of the shoulders. That is uuuuugly.

S.H. Figuarts Son Goku Ultra Instinct Figure From Tamashii Nations
Thinwheat replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
Some of the smaller online retailers taking orders from Bandai are saying Bandai is forcing them to take orders of blue or yellow effects if they want to sell this UI Goku. The amiami price was $50, but BBTS is $61. and most other US suppliers are around that price as well. I guess there's too much new tooling for them to just ask a lower price, but I'd really like if they had included the Omen head as an accessory as well to help ease the pain of the price. I'd rather have that than the effect piece it does come with. -
Persona 5: The Animation figma No.458-DX Noir Figure From Max Factory
Thinwheat replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
The DX version is WAYYY too expensive I think, but this figure is dope. I love the design of the Persona figures even more after playing P5. I'm gonna have to backtrack and get the ones I missed. At BBTS even the regular release is pricey. Almost a bill. I know Figma has been upping their prices, but that's pretty steep. I'd still like to pick her up. If my GameStop gets her I can use my store credit towards it so maybe I'll preorder her there.
