  1. This Power Con was awesome. Lots of great announcements for Origins & Mega Construx. I'm intrigued with the Masterverse stuff too. The Highlights for me were the Land Shark Vehicle, the deluxe figures and the flocked panthor.
  2. None of my local Targets have jack. No Star Wars, No new Transformers, No GI Joe, and let's not talk about TMNT NECA stuff. Jurassic Park is the only line that gets constantly refreshed and always has plenty of stock.
  3. Hot Wheels needs to do the Attack Trak, Land Shark, Battle Ram, Roton, etc. as vehicles. Oh, and also maybe do a Snake Mountain Playset for those vehicles.
  4. I'll watch. Say what you will about Todd, but he's probably the most important comic book artist/creator of his generation.
  5. There is also the possibility that they might re-release the Red Ninjas to coincide with the Snake Eyes movie.
  6. I am so glad I didn't download the app and ordered the figure. I feel bad for anyone that wanted to get the light blue CC.This is such a debacle. Not sure why Hasbro allowed this to happen. They should have just offered the Light Blue version on Hasbro Pulse. I even so some people in Canada ordering the figure and having to pay almost $45 after shipping.
  7. I like this figure. Other than the gun, he looks pretty cool. I expect CC to be given various incarnations in this line (if Joe fans support it)
  8. I hope so. I also wish they would re-release the Battle Bones ( I don't care if they give us different figures or slightly alter it). I think playsets and vehicles could certainly drive this line. Besides all the stuff mentioned above, I would like to add the Slime Pit, the Land Shark, and even some of the 200x vehicles and beasts.
  9. Definitely, going to pick up these 2 sets. I hope the line keeps going. We need Trap Jaw, Triklops, Snake Mountain and more vehicles and playsets.
  10. It's sad that Brian no longer has the rights to Evil Ernie, and Purgatori. Hopefully, this figure looks great in final form.
  11. Maybe Hasbro has to open their own stores and also sell online. Hasbro Pulse needs to be improved and expanded. Lego is making a killing with their stores and their online presence. And they also have a huge adult following (AFOLS). With many sets like the Friends Coffee Shop, the '89 Batmobile, and many star wars sets that easily run over $250 bucks, you can't ignore that market. Sure the adult collector market will never be as big as the kid market. But they usually spend a lot more and can be very loyal (as long as they don't feel they are being taken advantage). Hasbro, Mattel and other companies need to improve their social media and have a good relationship with toy collectors. If Mattel and Hasbro don't cater to these fans they are leaving money on the table. Even if adults only represent about 30% of the market. They are a steady stream of income.
  12. Wow. People seem to be unnecessarily negative to Jay's personal opinion. I understand his point, but I hope there is some form of SDCC announcements/presentations being done. This could be a good opportunity for the toy/comic/movie/gaming communities to give us a new form of presentation and what their plans are for the future. I hope things improve enough for us to have a cool NYCC. Take care Jay and thanks for all the great content throughout the years.
  13. This is pretty good news. Hopefully they do a good job with the movie and with the possible toy line.
  14. I pre-ordered the Snake Eyes figure already. I'm liking the Scarlett figure quite a lot, and the Roadblock is slowly growing on me. I do see a great potential for the line. Duke also looks pretty good as well, though I do hope they do a Jungle version like in the Pursuit of Cobra Line. It's funny because the reaction from the Joe community is almost exactly like the one the Star Wars community had when the Black Series first appeared (and look how that line turned out !)
  15. I'm also very excited about G.I. Joe coming back. The 6 inch format doesn't bother me at all, though I still would like to get high quality 3 3/4 inch figures. Keeping my Fingers crossed !
  16. Hi Jay C. I totally get your point, but Hasbro has been using that excuse for a very long time. 3.75 is dying for them because they don't know what they are doing. They came out with a great "Retro Collection" that got a lot of the fan base excited and sold tremendously well, but haven't really followed up with anything yet (especially when it comes to releasing figures that we never got back in the day, BUT should have been made). They killed the 5 POA line for the main line (right before the last movie of the new saga). Then, they introduced a NEW 5 inch figure line that is not very different from what the Disney Store has offered (and also is doing incredibly poorly in retail). Finally, the distribution of the Vintage Collection continues to be abysmal as far as retail is concerned. I was able to secure most of the Rise of Skywalker figures, but I haven't seen any since the original batch that was delivered to Target or Walmart. (However, you can still find plenty of Snokes, and Reys peg warming) The game has changed, but Hasbro has failed to adapt when it comes to 3 3/4 inch figures. They neglected it for a long time, and haven't really made a strong effort to push this line. Give us a good product at a good price and the fans will support it. Nickel and diming the fans is not the way to do it. Also, Hasbro needs to seriously improve their freaking social media skills. Hasbro, is a big company and they have a terrible relationship with the fan community. (This goes for all of their lines: Transformers, G.I. Joe, Star Wars, etc.) I love the 3 3/4 inch figure scale, and I hope it stays around. Thanks for all the great work JayC and I look forward to your coverage of Toy Fair 2020. May the Force Be with you and have a great day !!!
  17. I don't mind Con exclusives if they are done right. In other words, I don't care that they come inside an exclusive box and with extra accessories. But I hate it, when companies sell figures that ALL FANS want, but are unable to get. Hasbro did it right with exclusives like the Black Series Thrawn. ( Have a con exclusive version with unique packaging and accessories, but make sure that the general public has a chance to own the figure).
