I read somewhere that the helmet on the clone commander in the clone evolution pack is removable. Can anybody confirm this?
-
Yep, that Sith pack is a must have. Kung Fu Maul poses, here I come!
-
How is the preview Grievous btw, Decepticonous? Do you think that's the best version so far?
-
I guess both wants and haves. For me, I look particularly at articulation. I'm always on the lookout for definitive versions of characters. I like to keep my collection lean and mean, and sometimes I need to cut out the excess fat - the figures I bought on a whim. These usually goto goodwill. I seriously need more self-restraint though. Here's my list of Haves (figures I consider to be definitive versions of a character) - VOTC Vader, Han, Luke, Chewie, Boba, Stormie - OTC Yoda, Dengar - AOTC R2D2, sith training Darth Maul - CW Durge w/ speeder bike, SA Clonetrooper - ROTS Dooku, Clone Commander, QD Clone, Red Guard, Blue Guard, Saesse Tinn, Ki-Adi, Kit Fisto, Plo Koon, Aayla - POTF or POTJ (can't remember) Bossk, Zuckuss, IG-88, 4-Lom Wants (definitives versions IMHO that I will get in the near future - hopefully) VOTC Leia, Lando(not too big a lando fan is why I've held back) Evolution Packs Darth Sidious(cloth cloak and lightning from fingertips!!), Darth Maul (SA!!!), Clone Commander(SA w/ Removable helmet!!) 500th Darth Vader or Evolutions Vader (might just topple VOTC Vader from his spot, although VOTC Vader will always have a special place in my heart:) ROTS Any remaing Jedi that have ball-jointed shoulders and knees, any remaining clones Phew!! That's about all I can think of atm, I'm sure there's more wants I can think of later:) Edit: I really like AOTC Yoda too, the sculpt on his cloak is amazing:)

Ahh, cool stuff synch. I guess you're like me as I like only to collect a select few of the figures and not all of them. Can you list down your specific list of selected figures?
-
Hopefully, they were scalpers!! Edit: That's one more for ze Bad Guy!
-
Good stuff there mate! Which emperor are u gonna pose with the 2 red guards? The new ROTS one or the upcoming evolutions one?
-
I think I'll just assemble a small squad of guys. This is what I have so far: 1 Clone Commander 2 QD Clonetroopers 1 SA Clone Wars Clonetrooper Ideally my squad will be: 1 Clone Commander 2 QD Clonetroopers 2 SA ROTS Clonetroopers 1 or 2 Tank Gunners 1 SA Clone Wars Clone (he deserves to have fun too) 1 Jetpack Clone for air support If I manage to find Commander Bacara, I might need to split the squad in half if possible. Can't have too many chefs in this kitchen:) Edit: The sad thing is I was in in Indy for C3, and when I went by the Ent Earth booth I thought the price for the 4 pack of CW Clones was 84.99. I think I misread this, and it really was only 34.99. I would have gladly bought that pack. Instead, like the moron that I am, I paid $20 USD for the CW Clone instead. AGGHHH!!!!

Yeah, here's a link to Entertainment Earth's site. They list Clone pack as July, and the Sith and Anakin pack in August. http://www.entertainmentearth.com/hitlist....gures%3A+Deluxe

I don't have enough soldiers to make platoons, so yes, they are mixed together at the moment.
-
I like my mercs to have ball-jointed shoulders though. It's almost a necessity for me, as the most exciting poses I use for my mercs involve the use of the ball-jointed shoulder. I guess Hasbro had to drop the ball-joints on the AT TE gunner, otherwise no one would make a big deal of the supposed SA clone trooper (sigh).
-
Oh yeah, hands down that would be the best.
-
Holy crap, that is niiiice!! Hmmm, with all this Lego action going on, I might have to start up a SW Lego collection once I get a steady stream of cash coming in. Putting it together yourself, and plus it's Star Wars, how can you go wrong? Post more pics everyone!!

Classic replied to Cyber Bishop's topic in Star Wars
Yeah, Hasbro has pretty bad paint apps. But, then again, I guess it would cost too much and take up too much time for them to paint these figures properly. Then again, these are only toys for children:) I was look at niub niub's site - in case you don't know, he makes some kick arse dioramas - and when you see some of his repaints, they put Hasbro to shame. Check out his repaint of the AOTC Yoda here, the face is amazing. http://www.niubniubsuniverse.com/making/Pa...lpSitYoda02.asp -
Yeah, I have yet to see one of these bad boys and I go hunting at least every other day:( Nice score though man!!

Hmmm, when someone else on these boards posted some pics of the actual clones from the movie, the paint apps on them were not the least bit clean though. From what I could tell, they looked similar to what Cyber Bishop has done. I think the paint jobs are decent, and are certainly better than what I could do. Keep up the good work Bishop! Edit: I like the navy blue one the best. -
Hehe, I didn't realize most of that stuff Daredrummer. It's very hard for me to sit through a whole viewing of AOTC, let alone Phantom Menace. After reading your reasonings behind Sidious's actions, it makes me admire the character all the more. No wonder GL says that Sidious is his favorite of all the Sith.
-
For some reason, I like the new ROTS helmets on the troopers best over the Clone Wars version and the stormtrooper version.
-
Lol, I didn't mean to insult the Canadian military Decepticonous. His army though is the most massive clone army I have seen though.
-
Lol, he can take over Canada with that army:)
-
Those are some great ideas JayC. I would love to have a nicely articulated Luke either in Xwing uniform, or the Jedi Knight black he wears in ROTJ. As for these evolution packs, the evolution pack I must get is the Sith one. Common, a SA Darth Maul is a must have!! Oh yeah, a Sidious fig with tons of lightning coming from his hands can't be a bad thing:)
-
Yeah, it's cool to have a fellow collector to shoot the breeze with. It's also especially fun, when you and your buddies can go out hunting for figures together. There's nothing worse than going to hunt for figures by yourself.
-
Hmmm, maybe this is why I always find myself sniffing my newly opened figures???

Here's a link to a decent site. Goto the screen scenes section and enjoy! http://www.jeditemplearchives.com/2003saga/#cinscenes
