I hope they are higher quality than Funkos Savage World figures. Ideally they’d match modern origins articulation. I might give them a shot though cause I love the designs, especially the monstrous looking ones.

GI Joe Classified DELUXE Dr. Mindbender Revealed!

I really don't want to pay extra for that packaging and all those extra accessories I just want the damn figure. -
They somehow look both good and bad at the same time. Head sculpts are great but bodies are meh.

DC Multiverse Outsells Marvel Legends In 2021?!?
RoddyDrama replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
Outside of a Gorilla Grodd I haven't bought any McFarlane DC figures cause I refuse to start a new scale that is half an inch taller than my previous figures. I was going to get a Swamp Thing until I realized he was way too tall too. Marvel Legends has had some duds though. The Eternals waves are still clogging up the aisles and I don't think the AOA line did very well. It seems the more popular figures ended up being hard to find exclusives like the retro carded Black Suit Spider-Man figure. My interest in WWE figures has gone down too since I no longer watch WWE, so I only get the ocasional legend figure now. I'd probably would be more into AEW if I had cable, but since I cut the cord in favor of streaming I haven't been able to watch. Honestly if it wasn't for the scale thing I'd probably would have picked up a few of those McFarlane DC figs since some of them looked kinda cool, especially the DC Metal stuff. -
Storm Collectibles Gatchaman 1:12 Figure First Look
RoddyDrama replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
Storm Collectibles tend to be around the $100 mark. Otherwise I would have bought all their Street Fighter stuff. One of those rare cases where they make Super 7 Ultimates look more affordable. I may have to bite the bullet on this one and pay up. I hope we get Princess too. With Mark and Princess I'd be satisfied, no way would I be able to afford the whole team if its from Storm Collectibles.- 27 replies

Move it to Orlando and it won't get cancelled. They don't give a damn down here.

Honestly... so far I don't hate it. I don't love it, but I don't hate it. Not the art style I would want. I prefer more classic looks but at least they are doing Disney Infinity type art (Disney Toybox figures) instead of Cal Arts style (Think Thundercats roar, Gumball, Steven Universe, Star vs.. etc.). Kevin Smith's abortion looked better but despite all the changes and "modernizations" this over stylized version might have a better chance of capturing a bit of the spirit of the original which Kevin Smith's missed the mark on. I think Ram-Mame is F'ng hilarious! How long for this to catch on and every superhero will have a Mame version instead of a She- version. LOL.

I want this line to continue and do well. So keep in mind this is where this following criticism is coming from: Is this set really a smart move? Shelves are already full of He-Mans and Battlecats. Sure its a different shinier He-Man but I can only picture this set peg warming and for the line to thrive we need movers! At least it's an exclusive. So it'll only clog one chain.

TNI Editorial - When Collecting Is No Longer Fun
RoddyDrama replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
I've been slowly dropping a lot of lines cause of scarcity, I've been getting more and more into the Reaction figures as they are easier to collect and cover a lot of the intellectual properties I like. He-Man, Thundercats, Robocop, Toxie, Universal Monsters and TMNT? Hell yes! Bit pricey for what it is but at least the Super 7 sculpts are nicer than the Funko ones that were out a few years ago for $10. -
Only really interested in the shirted Darkseid. Kinda meh. Already had better Mattel versions. Would rather see Mcfarlane release more Teen Titan figures. I haven't gotten Cyborg cause I don't trust Todd to make the rest of the team. Got burned buying the two Star Trek captains. Never even bothered to make a Spock or Worf. count me amount the disappointed that DC figures aren't in 6inch scale anymore.

Ugh. Frustrating they picked the 5inch scale. 3.74-4 or 6.5 for me. I can't afford all the scales and want some uniformity in my collection.

Hasbro Teasing The Real Ghostbusters Figures?!?

What scale was the Ecto1 for? 1:18? Can you fit a GI Joe or Reaction figure in it? Asking for a friend ;p -
Puppet Master Ultimate Figure 2-Packs From NECA
RoddyDrama replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
I haven't watched any of these in over 20 years but I'm pretty sure the puppets were not human sized. So I don't get why people are complaining about the size. In a 7 in scale line they would not be 7 inches tall. Wouldn't you want them to fit in with your other Neca figures? I guess people thought they would be out of scale large figures like the Gremlins. Is that more in demand than in scale figures? -
Remember when they would make 14inch or taller versions of Superman, Ninja Turtles or even Wrestlers? That the scale these would have to be in to interest me. The lack of a huge godzilla or king Kong surprises me. Seems like a no brainer/missed opportunity.

Super7 Teases Silverhawks, Star Trek And More For 2021
RoddyDrama replied to JayC's topic in Action Figure News
7 Clues from Super 7 Quick recap: 1 Thundercats 2 Sure. I have no clue so sure. 3.Silverhawks! Yay! 4. Something black and white... Maybe Universal Monsters or Godzilla/King Kong. 5. Star Trek (cool since Mcfarlane seemed to give up after 1 wave) 6. Power Rangers We have Hasbro doing the six inch figures so reaction seems to make sense. 7. Looks like a spider-web with red splotches. Japanese Spider-Man? No idea here. Any more good guesses for 4 and 7?- 14 replies
