  2. WOW! Yes finally i get to see it. I have been reading your posts for awhile now and just now seen the pics. killer job man! using beast was an awesome idea! good job! Danny
  3. Magneto is my favorite, I can really relate to the character. the character and I have allot in common. little story- I use to hang at a card-comic shop years ago and we got on the topic who the strongest x-men was. I said "magneto, he can pull the iron out of your blood" my friends all dogged me "no he can't!" do you know opening day when I saw X2 and when magneto pulled the extra iron out of Mr. Lorrio's blood i stood up clapping I couldn't believe my character has been around since 1962 and FINALLY! did what i always thought he could.. yeah total nerd thanks for your comments I have worked on my new xorn and am now working on a wooden mock-up of a sentinel I really want to have its eye light up along with the circle on its chest maybe in the centers of its hands, but it will cut down on POA thanks again have a good night Danny
  4. Thank you I really took my time on this one after failing so bad on my xorn. I am now working on a 26" sentenil with 32 POA See ya around thanks! Danny
  5. whoops I forgot to add this I always wanted one, so I ended up making a stencil out of cardboard and the rest is history Danny
  6. Hey guys finished my new x-men magneto custom today. I used "2dtoys" Idea just different paint job. This is my second attempt at this figure, my first one fell over in the over and melted threw the rack. here he is I used an x2 magneto, cut the head off, threw on a boxset magneto head used the boxset magneto cape and used some scupty to complete the cape around his neck 2dtoys used a 5" gambit coat for the bottom of the tunic. I had an extra dr doom cape, i cut the cape and used a heat gun to melt and stretch it then used scupty to make the top of the tunic. Thats may clone danny
  7. Out standing huh, I just recently tryed making a magneto just like his ( except different colors ) I was so proud, and honestly this one looked awesome had to be my best one. I put it in the oven to bake the scupty tunic I made, forgetting to turn it down in temp. ( from 350 to 275 ) it got really hot fell over and melted threw the grill....yeah pretty bad, It only had 2 minutes left....price i had to pay I started a new one but i am losing my ambition, I will finish it but in no rush like the other I really wish the figures he made were real I am in love with his NXM wave, really nice job Danny
  8. wow that guys really really into it, hes got some awesome talent! I am going to start over and just see if i can replica the one he made. Funny, we used the same parts but i never saw his figure before, I am also gonna buy some of that clay he used, maybe its easier to work with then sculpy thanks for your help nightcrawler! Danny
  9. wow! that xorns amazing! I just clicked it and havn't read it yet, but wow! allot of detail! I really like that figure! did he end up letting it go on ebay? or is it still around!? Danny
  10. yeah I also thought the neck was too long, the last shot (side shot) was before i placed the magnets in the head, so it is just sitting there, I am thinking of doing a xorn all over again, at first i thought i had it all figured out, but about 1/2 threw i came to the conclusion "eeeck" you guys have any ideas on body parts to use? This is only my 3rd (offical ) custom, and dont have allot of experience, anyone else make any xorn figures? thanks for your input guys! Danny
  11. Hey guys I just finished my Xorn figure I've been working on. I am not too sure about the color of the face/skull I think I need to repaint it lighter, and I am not to sure on how about painting the eyes. what do you think? and please if someone else has made a xorn figure could you post it here, i really want to see it, thanks! Danny
  12. Thanks guys just double checking, I use to air brush years ago when i was allot younger and really didnt care "how or what" was in the brush, all i cared about was getting the teacher over and filling my pen up thanks for your help! Danny
  13. Thanks to Jin's walk threws I am now working on a surpize figure, used allot of donor limbs. I haven't yet seen this custom on the board so i look foward to your comments. I should be done this sunday, I'll upload my pics then! See ya guys around! Danny
  14. Jin I just recently posted a question like this in a different thread i hope you dont mind me asking again. the testors paint, can I put that in my airbrush? have you ever used an airbrush to paint figures? I really need to work on my painting skills, I used apple barrel acryls on my pryo and it looks awesome from 4 ft away but once you get close its got a caulky look. any ideas or tricks? Danny thanks
  15. quick question, I have an airbrush i use to use way back when, can i use the testors in my air brush? do you guys use air brushes? just wondering thanks! Danny
  16. Pretty amazing, what kind of paint did you use? Right now with my pryo figure i am using apple barrel arcyls, but it seems to have a very ruff feeling. is there anything i can spary on it once im finished some kind of non-gloss clear coat? just wondering thanks! Danny
  17. testors dull coat? cool, it doesnt hurt the paint does it? it just removes the gloss? I dont want to have to paint him over again lol thanks! Danny
  18. so i boil the figure, then push the "ball joint" out of say the elbow? its that simple? thanks for your info! Danny
  19. hey guys quick question, i dont want to open up a totally new thread an waste space so i hope you dont mind me asking here I have seen some pics of figures totally stripped down, all taken apart, how the heck do you get the chest peices apart without things breaking? I think its probably 10 times better painting the parts all by them selfs other that having to hold the figure upside down and side to side to get into those tight places. thanks for you time guys, and thanks Jin for those painting tips! Danny
  20. Thats unbelievable! your details looks like that figure came right off the shelf! you have a mighty talent! awesome awesome work, I am word-less just awesome work man! Danny

  22. Here we go, sorry guys im not online allot so i had to open some new accounts for webspace. anyway here is the first one i've finished the green goblin one of my favorite villians. http://home.comcast.net/~danthemutant/Greengoblin1.JPG http://home.comcast.net/~danthemutant/greengoblin2.JPG this is before i started using "apple barrel" paints, I used a Hobgoblin figure, did allot of dremel work, removed tung, had to work of gloves and boots, smooth the shoulder pads and a knob on his back. and make a windsock out of superscupty. Thanks guys for letting me share with you! Danny
