  1. So it's just going to look like that sigma six crap again? I guess I won't be watching this show.
  2. It's nice to see that the Cobra Officer will finally come with his AK-47 and I noticed that the Crimson Guard is holding a Springfield 03 Rifle. I thought that was funny the comic for which this pack is based is titled "All About Springfield". Also, shouldn't there be a picture of the pack with Ace and Wild Weasel?
  3. Wave 1 Snake Eyes Wave 1 Storm Shadow Wave 1 Flint Wave 1 Cobra Officer Stinger Driver Serpentor Zartan Firefly Crankcase Breaker Rock N Roll I would like Flash more if he had his own, unique head instead of the same head as Grand Slam.
  4. That's what I would like to see but we're talking about Hasbro here. So it's probably just going to be the same Duke body again just because they think it's close enough because they slap a Flint head on top of it. It seems to me like it would make more sense to make Tiger Force Duke instead. Then they can take the money made from that to finally give Flint his own mold that he deserved in the first place.
  5. Was he talking about continueing to use the 25th Anniversary body styles for movie figures, or was he talking about continueing the theme of updating characters in their classic, 80s uniforms to have them out along with the movie figures? I hope it's the latter because I don't want to see classicly sculpted characters stop just because of the movie toys that I might not even want.
  6. Starduster. All they would have to do is give him Roadblock's (version 1) legs and make a new set of arms with rolled-up sleeves, a set of gloved hands and a new head.
  7. Is there anywhere on the internet where I can see good, clear and high resolution scans of all the playing cards that were given out at the 2007 Comic Con?
  8. What's the point of complaining. Everyone knows by now that Hasbro likes to take shortcuts whenever they can. Wave 1 proved that. I'll just skip this Firefly and hope another one comes out with his own unique mold in the future. Along with Flint, 85 Snake Eyes and the Cobra Officer.
  9. I'd like to see anything that's not a repaint or a slight retool of figures that were already made for the first two battle packs. I don't think that there is any chance of that happening though. I know several people seem to think there will be new sculpts in wave 2 and 3, but I just can't see how that's possible.
  10. It's not just an "excuse", Hasbro stated this exact fact in an interview in one of the latest Collectors' Club newsletters. They also specified that this problem only affected the first wave of single packs, and starting with wave two, there would be a huge improvement in the new tooling used. Trust me, Waves 2 and 3 will have a lot more new tooling than Wave 1 did. We'll all see for sure together at the end of the month during SDCC... Justin When you say "huge improvement in the new tooling used", do you mean that the figures will have all new parts or do you mean that they will be the same 10 figures from the 5-packs with new heads, removable gear and maybe a removable backpack and new gun and maybe if we're lucky a few new parts here and there for the main body of the figure?
  11. Now that we know who's going to be in wave 2, it's just a matter of figuring out which of the first 10 molds will be repainted/remolded to make the next 5 figures.@rolleye@ Are there ever gonna be any new sculpts made for the 25th anniversary line?
  12. Apparently the new issue of Lee's Action Figure News and Toy Review has pictures of Cobra Officer, Cobra Commander (Hooded), Storm Shadow (version 2), Snake Eyes (Version 2) and it also shows Flint. Over on the banned message board a poster by the name of Sallah gave descriptions of the figures in the magazine which took alot of my excitement away for the 25th Anniversary figures. @grumpy@ Sallah writes: "...every one of them reuses body sculpts from the figures from the 5 packs... Snake-Eyes with Timber shares the same body sculpt as the first Snakes with different chest gear and a new head... Hooded Cobra Commander is a new head and a darker paint scheme... Storm Shadow 2...new head, different gear, different paint sheme.. Cobra Officer is the same body as the Trooper with a new paint job and different gear... And saddest of the bunch...Flint is just Duke with a different paint scheme and a new head..."
  13. If someone could also PM me the new pictures, I would appreciate it.
  14. Originally posted by Ashtalon: As for a teal verion of Gung-Ho....does anyone really want this? Yes, I would buy a Gung-Ho in his original blue colors because that's how I remember him looking on the cartoon and that's how I remember his 1983 toy looking. I know the Gung-Ho that's coming in the 5-pack has him looking more like he did in the old Marvel comics but I always followed the cartoon more than the comic book growing up. I'm planning on buying both 5-Packs anyway because I like all 10 figures regardless of their color schemes. But I would not complain if Hasbro decided to release Gung-Ho as a single-pack figure in his original color scheme in the future.
  15. I'm guessing it's going to be a Cobra tomorrow since we got a Joe today. So I'd like to see Cobra Commander, Destro or Zartan personally. But if it is a Joe I'd like to see Flint or Gung-Ho. If had my way it would be Bazooka since he was one of my original favorites.
  16. I can't believe how much I like that figure. I was a little nervous when I heard about the posibility of Hasbro removing the O-Ring again but now that I see how great the figure looks, it doesn't bother me one bit. Excellent detail and Hasbro finally managed to sculpt a G.I. Joe figure with realistic proportions. I also love how Hasbro went the extra mile and gave Storm Shadow all of his original, version 1 accessories. I don't see his nunchucks but I hope he has those too. A definite buy for me. I can't wait to see the other 24 figures. #US1#
  17. I would buy Thundercracker if he was a repaint from Skywarp/Starscream. I would only get Dirge and Thrust if they were a REMOLD from Ramjet with different wings. The only other one I can think of is Goldbug from a Bumblebee repaint. But he would have to have a new head to be Goldbug.
  18. Off the top of my head, I'd like to see a wave with Hound, Swoop, Kup, Blitzwing and Cyclonus as Deluxes. And the Voyagers would be Blaster with one or two of his tapes and Shockwave.
  19. Do you mean after Cliffjumper and Ramjet? I hope so. There's so many Generation One characters that I would like to see get updated in the Classics line. I'd like to see Classics last as long as it can.
  20. I was looking on walmart.com recently and noticed they still have some Early Bird Certificate Packages from 2005 for sale. I'm thinking about getting another one of these so I can send away for another set of Early Bird figures but I'm not sure if it's too late to send away for the figures. Does anyone know if Hasbro is still honoring this offer?
  21. When I think about what Hasbro did for the 20th anniversary of "A Real American Hero", I can't say I have alot of confidence that the 25th anniversary will be any better. If Hasbro would put the same effort into the "A Real American Hero" 25th anniversary as they did with the vintage style Star Wars figures I would be happy. At least the people who sculpt the Star Wars figures lately act like they've seen a human being. It's funny how Hasbro could sculpt figures that looked like human beings back in 1982 but in 2006 they act like it's impossible.
  22. I would like to see Devastator. They could make Bonecrusher, Hook, Long Haul, Mixmaster, Scavenger and Scrapper as Scout Class Transformers. I would buy that in a heartbeat.
