  1. I thought for sure that the TRU Prime would be easy to find. Certainly they'd make a ton of them and they'd be all over the place. Nope. I have no confidence in TRU in any way anymore. I paid some decent scratch for my Takara MP Soundwave and I'll do it again for Prowl. MP Prowl looks way awesome and I always thought he had a cool look. Plus I was just reading a bunch of Prowl stuff from IDW comics and I said to myself if there's ever a MP of Prowl I'd jump on it. The proportions of the robot mode look good and the car looks suprisingly sweet even though I was never a fan of that
  2. What do you think of Wonder Woman's face? When we first saw a prototype it looked great, but then at Toy Fair 2013 we saw a production model and the face looked terrible. Your picture is too blurry to see detail and I wondered what that face looks like.
  3. I knew that would happen. It makes a lot of sense for the US Soundwave to have yellow eyes. You knew they were gonna change something, and the TV/toy difference is the eyes. And y'know, looking at it now, the yellow eyes look pretty good. Hasbro has their way of Photoshopping the heck out of their pics, so it'll look nothing like that, but the yellow eyes look nice. Still glad I got the Takara version, but still....
  4. Well it looks like you won't have to worry about that. This is from a Q&A at Jedi Defender: This is a really wonderful thing to hear. Like a lot of people I've been wanting good, articulated 6-inch Star Wras figures for years, and it makes me reallyhappy to see them going after this new line in the right way. And so far, it looks awesome. Heck I might even buy that Darth Maul.
  5. I always thought that Kraven's Last Hunt is amazing. I'd suggest getting a Masterwork or something that'll collect the first bunch of issues. The first 25 issues of Spider-man are awesome. Also I recently saw a collection of the Hobgoblin stories from issues around 238, 239, 244, 245, 249, 250 - that kind of stuff. Those were always big faves and the stories that got me back into Spider-man. Love that stuff.
  6. I only got the Heroic Age Iron Man, and he's pretty great, but I am a little worried that I will tear him to pieces. The plastic is not exactly soft, but the ratchets in the joints are so huge that moving the knees for example seems like you will break it right off because the joints are so hard to move from one ratcheted position to the next. The plastic is not very sturdy and seems like it will tear. I'm very worried that if I pose it too much I'l break it. The plastic is not exactly rubbery but soft and pliable enough tomake me think it'll break. Is everybody's like this?
  7. The only dissappointment for me Marvel-wise is not seeing the new Moonstone body. From the mock-ups we've seen it looks real nice and I kinda don't want any more figs on that skinny-mini Elektra body... although Rogue looks really good.
  8. That picture is unsettling. Becasue there's Soundwave, and there's the Wal-Mart MP Starscream with him. See, I was hoping to hear some announcement that the NEW MP Starscream MP-11 would be making it over here to the states, but if they're just thinking "Yeah, you guys got your Starscream. Wal-Mart had it and it was decoed just for you." then they may see the matter as settled. But I really really want to see a domestic release of the new one, which I think is so much better. I can only assume this pic was from Toy Fair bceause nobody has posted anything MP from ToyFair for some reas
  9. That does really suck. DC Collectibles are finding new ways to not get my money. Yes I want that Catwoman and I will buy it no problem. Oh, only if I buy 6 other toys I don't want??? Suck it DC Collectibles. That didn't work with a 2 pack forcing me to buy ONE other figure I don't want. I'm certainly not gonna buy another SIX. So I won't ever get that Catwoman. Oh well too bad for me, and no sale for you. Dummies.
  10. To me it was Arnim Zola. Easy choice: Unique figure. Great deisgn. Excellent exucution (even softish legs are ok at that weight and size). Love everything about it. Since it's a small BAF that was desired, I had to pay what I consider a lot for it (around $60 complete, not Skull) but I still think it's one of the best things they've ever done.
  11. Wow, I'm impressed. And you got The Enforcers in there. The Enforcers! I'm a big fan of old school spidey villains and I'm loving those. Never saw anyone who had those guys in their collection.
  12. I'm almost there with my dream team Beast (ML4 - awesome toy) Colossus (ML5 - awesome toy) Phoenix (ML6 - good toy) Wolverine brown costume (ML6 - awesome toy) Nightcrawler (ML9 - good toy) Iceman (using the pre-ML Water Wars one, no good toy exists) Storm (want the classic costume, doesn't exist) That comes close to Byrne/Cockrum era, and I just like Iceman. TommyGoth is right - he does get the shaft.
  13. Well it didn't take long for that price to go up. Heroic Age is at $25 now, and not sold through Amazon.
  14. I'm loving the size of Iron Monger. Looks great. Thanks for the link - I hadn't seen that. And the Heroic Age Iron Man looks nice and not a tiny shrimp like many of Hasbro's Iron Man armors. If anything, having one done at normal size just emphasizes how tiny those other 2 are. I haven't seen any of these yet but it's a tough call for me if I'll a.) buy them all, keep Monger and Heroic Age, sell off the rest (pain in the butt) b.) wait till this time next year to try to pick up completed Monger on ebay, knowing that's the one most people want (difficult and possibly expensive)
  15. So I'm not hearing a lot of evidence that Hyperion FEELS like cheap plastic, but just that he LOOKS like cheap plastic, like early Hasbro ML figs that were light on paint apps. And the balls on posts to hold on legs is nothing new. ML Psylocke was run like that as well and movie Invisible Woman I and they turned out fine. I'm thinking the Hyperion body could be useful for lots of custom so I'm interested, but also eager to find out its flaws. Can anyone elaborate on the "plastic feels cheap" thing?
  16. I'm very happy with the amount of unique sculpt in both of those (all of it?). The buck system isn't gonna work for these guys and I don't really like the buck system anyway. Because of that I'm very excited to see Batman, and maybe an old-school Mr. Freeze and King Tut. I wonder if they will sculpt Caesar Romero's moustache on but just paint white over it. God I hope so.
