  1. you know its funny I NEVER heard of him until now, of course I, like everyone else, know of Satan/SeiTin, and the black Storm Shadow repaint, Ninja Ku
  2. I havent been to a TRU in over a month, and this one was just 2 miles away. I went straight to the Joe section, NOT 1 Single pack. All there were Night Watch, BAT packs, couple Hummers, 2 Ice Sabers, Dreadnok comic packs, Comic pack 9, couple of Marvel 26 packs.
  3. heres a portion of Sgt Slaughter the wrestler where he was in the years he was gi joe character from wikipedia.org However, with the emergence of Hulk Hogan as the WWF Champion and lead face within the company, Slaughter would leave for the AWA. It was rumored that Slaughter left because he couldn't secure a title shot with then WWF Intercontinental Champion Greg Valentine, but contractual issues were probably the real reason behind his departure (it is also rumored that he tried to form a wrestler's union, and when WWF owner Vince McMahon heard of it, he fired Slaughter). Slaughter would receive a considerable push in the AWA throughout 1985 and 1986, becoming the AWA America's Heavyweight Champion, defeating Larry Zbyszko, shortly after his arrival. He would go on to defend the title against wrestlers like Zbyszko, Kamala, Boris Zukhov, and Nick Bockwinkel (before the belt was inactivated) and feud with Shiek Adnan Al-Kaissey and his stable of wrestlers, the Road Warriors, and Col. DeBeers. He would even challenge Stan Hansen for the AWA title. In 1987, Slaughter was less active in the ring, having signed a contract with Hasbro to do voice overs for his self-titled character in the popular cartoon series G.I. Joe. His character also became a part of the Hasbro product line. In 1988, Slaughter returned to wrestling in the AWA, resuming some of his past feuds with the likes of Shiek Adnan Al-Kaissey, the Iron Sheik and Col. DeBeers. He would also become a top contender to the AWA World title during Larry Zbyszko's reign in 1989 and was a team captain for the AWA's ill-fated Team Challenge Series during the first half of 1990.
  4. From pwinsider.com Q and A Q: I'm a huge G.I. Joe and wrestling fan. Since Sgt. Slaughter was in the G.I. Joe Comic Books, Cartoon, Movie, and a few G.I. Joe action figures made of him, I was wondering how that 'deal' came about and where 'Sarge' was working when it all happened?.... He does the voice-over for himself, and I remember seeing him 'in between' commercials on the cartoon (the real him - not cartoon). I have old wrestling magazines with Sgt. Slaughter wearing the same outfit in the ring that Hasbro made of him as a toy. (The Toy came first since the 'in the ring pic' has him wearing G.I.Joe down his legs.) A: Sgt. Slaughter was working for the AWA at the time he worked out the G.I. Joe deal. Hasbro liked the idea of having a "real life" G.I. Joe for commercial and promotional appearances, and saw Slaughter as an easy fit for the role, since he was already established as the type of character they wanted. They approached Slaughter, a deal was worked out, and Slaughter became part of the show, and even put the logo on his ring gear. The relationship lasted until Slaughter left the AWA, and went to the WWF to become a heel.
  5. I wish WWE had that late night show Confidential on the air, it showed alot of stuff outside of wrestling ie wrestler's houses, history on past wrestlers etc. I remember one time they showed Sgt Slaughter's golf tournament on the show.
  6. yeah thats what I was expecting and on Smackdown too
  7. hey since some of us are wrestling fans, and the Con is gona have none other than the Sarge himself, and hes gona be answering joe and wrestling questions the fans might have. For those that dont follow WWE, whenever WWE has a superstar involved in an event(charities, good causes, or entertainment ones) outside of wrestling, theres always WWE cameras there. So who knows IF WWE brings a camera crew to the Con because of Sgt Slaughter.
  8. I have 3, one loose, and 2 still in package
  9. these things are out already, I wasnt expecting them til June from what I heard.
  10. is it just me or the website is a bit slow?

  12. Happy bday and many more to come buddy @HappyBDay@
  13. I stopped by the same TRU today(where I bought the Cobra trooper few weeks ago) and checked what they have as far as figures are concern. Surprisingly they got Wave 2 now and 1 comic pack each, DD16 and Marvel 26, and still have the BAT 6 pack. I bought DD16 and 1 Sigma 6(they had a deal where if you buy 20 dollars of GI Joes, you get 1 Sigma figure (a 9.99 dollar value) free)
  14. I still need to check another TRU if they have other waves besides 3 and if they have Viper lockdown and a HISS
  15. Looks like Wave 3 came to one of my local TRU(Fullerton) IM Sooo happy. This TRU just had the figs, Humvee, and BAT 6 pack. I was expecting Viper lockdown, gona try finding it at another TRU close by. The price for individual fig are 5.99. I bought 4 Cobra troopers. so i saved like about few bucks off shipping and handling.
  16. I just saw G4 Attack of The Show, and Brian Savage was a guest, discussing GI Joe particularly the 3.75 in line. He brought along a huge dio with crimson HISS tanks, Cobra mountain, mastercollector IGs, and few GI Joe vehicles. The next replay is tonight 12am pacific 3am eastern
