  1. Ah, the wonderful things I find with StumbleUpon... @loll@ http://www.mcsweeneys.net/2007/7/9weaver.html
  2. You think that's cool? Check out what they did to an iPhone!
  3. Well, he does have "King Scarscream's" crown painted on his sides, under the canopy... As for die-cast, Takara's version had/has a tiny amount in the torso, if I recall. Since 20th Anniversary OP was identical to MP Convoy, save the battle-smudges and short stacks, I see no reason for Hasbro's Starscream to not be identical to Takara's other than the color scheme.
  4. That's how I see it. Those bots were created by people who didn't know what they were doing, just siphoning energy from the cube and aiming it at a random piece of technology in a cage (the cellphone bot) and, during Sam's mad dash through the city, the Cube was set off accidentally and started randomly activating machines. Since it was accidental/experimental, none of them had any "core programming" (or consciousness, or whatever), and acted purely on feral instinct.
  5. Gizmo and Spike spoke a few words of English. Most of the Gremlins spoke in throaty, squealing gibberish, which sounded almost identical to most of the sounds Frenzy made.
  6. Seibertron is also the Japanese name for Cybertron. My only problems with the movie are these: Megatron crashed into the Arctic Circle "thousands of years ago," presumably without finding the Cube. Yet, he etched a map to its location in Archibald's glasses. Optimus used the glasses to project a global map, to find the Cube's location which should have been the location Megatron pinpointed for it Megatron was found by Captain Witwicky in the 1930's, right? And the Cube had actually been found in 1913. Megs had no way of knowing that, nor could he have known about it being moved to Hoover Dam after the fact. So why, then, did Prime determine the Cube's location (from the map on the glasses) was "230-something miles" from where they were standing, and head for the Dam?? Also.. all that crap from Bay and the others about "NO MASS-SHIFTING" 'cause it's "teh stupid!"... but what did they call the Cube folding in on itself to become a fraction of its original size?? Sure looked like mass-shifting to me.
  7. Hi, guys! Didja miss me? While cleaning the stupid battle smudges off, I had the idea to transform his legs differently. I know there are some who will hate it, and say he's out of proportion or something, but oh, well. I like it, and I think it actually improved his proportions, in addition to giving his appearance a more G1-ish vibe. All I did was turn his calves backward and leave his feet folded up the back. And I stuck one of my custom transparent Autobot symbols over the silver one.
  8. It was a Shockwave/Flash game on cartoonnetwork.com. Three years ago. o_O
  9. Mmm... sweetened oat cereal piece AllSparks, with yummy marshmallow faction symbols and Matrices of Leadership!! Sign me up!
  10. Yup. So rare that he's selling Grimmy for retail price + shipping. @loll@ Regardless, he apparently registered here solely to spam his auctions. @hmmm@
  11. Hardly. Have you ever actually seen Energon Demolishor?
  12. Yes, I know this topic is from October, but as I've finally started working on the project for real, I'm resurrecting it. @smilepunch@ I've finished constructing the Optimus head (Cybertron Excellion head + epoxy putty and modified visor), and thought you'd like to see it. It needs a little more cleaning up, then I can paint it.
  13. The WST Dinobots are not official products; they are fan-made. The G1 toys have not been reissued because the molds were either lost or damaged beyond repair, as I recall.
  14. New to you, maybe. I saw that last year, somewhere around the end of Autumn and beginning of Winter.
  15. Phase one of turning the Wave Runner into BB's gun is finished (installed a handle)! I'll be mounting barrels on the front-bottom of the trailer, which will be able to rotate, so the muzzles will be hidden in alt-mode. I've also got two configurations worked out; I'm thinking the straight-ahead mode will have a regular blaster function, and the forked mode will be some sort of harmonic-resonance generator mode. Phase 2: adding the barrels, patching gaps with epoxy putty, cleaning it up and repainting.
  16. Nope! ...and if you're wondering if it's really the same Armorhide:
  17. I took him apart, cut his waist in half, filled the gaps (his waist has two hollow spaces, so the two halves had bits shaped like 3's) with epoxy putty, sanded them flat when it was set, measured and drilled a hole in the center of each half, then connected them with an extra hinge pin.
  18. Yeah and too bad it makes the first look ##$%$#ed. The first looked ##$%$#ed to begin with. @smilepunch@
  19. Don't toy with the guy @smilepunch@ Alternators have gone on hiatus along with Classics until after the movie blows over (or up depending on preference). They hope is that the greater exposure from the film will net more licenses. A Cadilac XLR was planned for release as Megatron, but was one of likely several casualties due to the movie So no Cadilac XLR? Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! Hasbro said at BotCon, I think, that the Caddy was canned. As for Alts in general, Stevy's correct. We will (hopefully) see Ravage and Rumble/Frenzy (depending on which one is red in your view) before the movie line(s) hit, then they'll be on "vacation" until the movie frenzy (heh) has passed.
  20. I think it was $20 or $25, when they were at retail. Since they were apparently so rare, I'd imagine a bit more now...
