  11. There's 3 major grading services for sportscards, and I think the competition is healthy enough to keep the grading process fair. But afa being the only game in town could be detrimental to the fairness and quality of their service. Being a monopoly affords them certain "care less attitude if this joe is graded different from this joe" And how come if a big orange TRU sticker is covering up the GI part of the card it's no biggie but if there's a rectangle of TRU price sticker residue on the card, and you can now see the GI part now, that's a bad thing??? I think that unless there's a tear from the sticker...residue and actual sticker should both not count as a negative on the card. I think the best solution is....if you got the joe to keep 'till your funeral then slap it in a starcase (pvc free) and admire it. And if you plan on sellin' it then maybe get it graded if you think it's worth the cost and time. But sellin' your moc's?? You must be in desperate times, my fellow afficionadoes...................................
  12. Exactly the same here GV! She'll even go on the hunt for me. She did it with MOTU (new) and she does it w/GI Joe. A definite keeper! Same here she's even a star wars fan!! giggles at my TF and Joes and dodger bobble heads!! She's 5'5'' 120 lbs half japanese half irish babe and she's got a twin. single bitchy sister. Good thing I got cinderella and not her ugly step err twin sister!!
  13. Of course we all think that our childhood toys are greater then the new stuff. New vehicles come preassembled not to save the kids the hassle of assembly, put to save the parents. It seems everone's busier than they used to be with all this multitasking, and hasbro's just trying to help us out. Joe vehicles aren't model kits so I think preassembled is the way to go!!!!!!!
  14. @firedevil@ Same here...there hoggin' up 3 3/4 shelf space!!! The cobra 12ers are goofy looking and the joes aren't much better. If I want antique dolls, I'll go to a doll show . They cancelled the 12ers in the late 70's for a reason. Instead of a bunch of nameless joes, they introduced characters that created genuine interest in the toys and vehicles. Something about dressing up 12'' men in clothes is creepy. With small joes, the only thing to equip is weapons and the occassional helmet. Just the way it should be. @firedevil@ @firedevil@ @firedevil@ @firedevil@ @firedevil@
  15. I started collectin' Joes when I was two!! They're one of my first and dearest memories  #tank#
