  1. HAHAHA! I don't have anything against fat people...just don't like the fact that they have to go through life that unhealthy.
  2. live artists? sounds cool.. can you be any more specific on what kind of art they create? or is it performance art? music? also, how do you paint on tour at a club event? that sounds very interesting I sure can. Just some background on myself, I've been live painting for over 14 years and have done over 1500 shows in that time, including a 20,000 mile US Tour last year as a part of Identity Fest, the only touring electronic music fest in the U.S., where myself and my buddy Vincent Gordon painted in front of over 350,000 people collectively. We basically set up our canvases and paint a painting or 2 over the course of the show from start to finish as an added visual element to the overall experience. We also have a bunch of finished paintings and prints for sale etc. I started painting behind a band and then moved into nightclubs and comic cons in order to promote my first graphic novel 'industriacide', and from there it turned into an odd monster. Now, The Infusion Project, the art collective I work with has done projects/shows with over a thousand different artists of all genres and backgrounds, using the shows and tours to help up and coming artists to get their artwork out there. As far as the art that is created it's all different from live perpetual motion sculptures to paintings to body work on models, what ever we can turn into a performance we'll try. If you check out my gallery http://www.industria...om/gallery.html you'll get a feel for what I do--all those paintings were done live at a club/show/festival--most in one night start to finish. For the SDCC party I am actually expanding into more of a performance piece where my dj buddy and I have orchestrated music and samples to tell a backstory to what I'll be painting. We've basically found a more personal way to get our artwork to the public and to build a community of artists that will help promote and teach one and other. Some of us really don't want to spend tens of thousands on art school where the benefits are not in proportion to the money spent. And it's incredibly fun! And we are doing a collaboration piece to be raffled off at the event, so if any artists that are coming to SDCC want to contact me about jumping in on the collab, feel free to email me at sean@industriacide.com.
  3. Most of the artists, you are right, are not in comics, but they are some of the best live artists out there. Vincent and myself are about to embark on our second U.S. tour the day after con ends as a part of identity Fest, as well as painting at other club events. We put on the event because we are tired of the boring #$## that the companies throw, and unless you are happy running around the Gaslamp getting ripped off and getting little or no entertainment value, you should check out the show.
  4. Here's the info on the largest Friday night after party during the San Diego Comic Con!! The boys and I are looking forward to putting on quite a show with an extended line up including performances by the best dj's in SD, incredible live art, booze, a gourmet dinner package, a sketch lounge with the models from Pink Boombox for you to draw, the Reichenfunk debut, a raffle for a huge art collaboration, an art show by SolSis Productions out of Vegas. Us locals are tired of watching the guests of comic con struggle with the crowdedness of the Gaslamp, and offer a place to meet incredible people and enjoy amazing art and music, all with in a mile of the Gaslamp at a private warehouse.
