  1. Issue # 5 is now online and available for download, for those who missed the hard-copy at last year's Joe Con. Check out our special Brazil issue, including a checklist of every G.I.Joe action figure produced in Brazil! The direct link is: http://www.joedeclassified.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Declassified-Report-05.pdf (warning, it's a large file) Let me know what you think!
  2. For real TR1ER is one of the best!
  3. Or not. That's NOT anything like what came out of Lagor's mouth, in the many times that I've spoken with him. The differences between what he said and what you're saying are subtle, but make a HUGE difference. 1. The money brought in by S6 does NOT go to the DTC line. It goes back into S6, as well as helping fund Joe marketing, and anything Joe related that overlaps lines. Thus, by increasing the revenue brought into the Joe property, it INDIRECTLY means more possible money flowing into the DTC line, not by direct sales, but by increased budget. 2. Yes, they would love everyone in the world to buy all Joe product, but recognize that S6 is not likely to be a huge hit among adult collectors, although it would be great if some of the adult collectors got on board. 3. DTC's future, as dependent on S6, only goes as far as the viability of the Joe line as a whole as far as Hasbro execs are concerned. If S6 does extremely well, then it causes the execs to look more favorably upon the Joe division, and thus potentially freeing up for funds seperately for both S6 as well as DTC 3&3/4". If S6 tanks, then yes, it could potentially hurt DTC as well, especially if the numbers from DTC alone are not sufficient for it to self-support. If DTC numbers are down, and S6 is selling poorly, then the execs are unlikely to consider Joe to be a viable property. Well, yeah, but only if it had come out of Hasbro that way. Except that Hasbro ISN'T forcing anyone, nor using a guilt trip(see above). All they've done is explain the simple economics of the line. If S6 does well, it helps the overall Joe property. If it does bad, it hurts the overall Joe property. If the overall property is doing well, it points to better things for our DTC line, and if not, Joe as a property, and thus DTC, could be hurt.
  4. Of course. Joe sightings will continue to serve a purpose as long as Joe figures are being released. At the moment, the sightings index is used to catalog the spottings of Sigma 6 figures, as well as online sources of the DTC line. Of course, the much overlooked forum is the best reason to stay.
  5. Sure thing - and they do it all from the sound stage where the moon landing was faked.
  6. www.sigma6central.com Who are the masterminds behind this swank site? @hmmm@
  7. Beachhead and Flint are EXACT duplicates of the ones from the night force set - there is no need to add them. The Crimson Shadow Guard will be added very soon.
  8. Planning to get at least 3 ROCC's...we'll see how many I end up with.
  9. I should be able to part with 1 or two of the figs...PM me when it starts shipping to remind me.

    Latest Coil Meet!

No, no, no...See, it wasn't really a mistake, but a excercise in my film technique. You remember in Lord of the Rings how they got all the actors playing Hobbits to look really small on screen through little film tricks? Same thing here, but in reverse...
  12. Chicago Coil baby!!!! Anyway - here's some pics from this one: Mike samples some of Martin's wares, as Brian and Ed look on: Julian, Scott, and Martin: Scott, Mike, and Ruben chill out, while the other Scott quakes in fear as his girlfriend Rachel wonders what he's gotten her into: Shawn, Julian, and Scott laughing at a joke most likely made at my expense: The whole gang (L to R): Sam (Nomad), Ed (Viperscout3000), Julian (Copperhead), Scott (Madmac41), Martin, Brian (Nova), Shawn (Inferno), Ruben (TR1ER), Mike (Beach-head), Jake, and Scott (AlwaysGQ). Mike, Julian, and Brian, entertain Kevin (sitting) at Wizard World All in all, a great time was had. Jules brought down his Nintendo and allowed us to wreck some havoc on the old G.I.Joe games, until I co-opted it for Ninja Gaiden. We also had a great time at Wizard World and Hooters! Special call out also goes out to Luke Ellison (SalvoInACan) and his friend Jeff, who were there for the pre-show on Friday night. Great time guys!
  13. OK - the list has expanded. I will e-mail out directions and the official times sometime this upcoming weekend. If you're meeting up with us at the Con or later in the evening please send me a cell # so that we can make the meet-up as smooth as possible... So far, I have: Nomad Bigfan Leo T Dragon TR1ER Viperscout 3000 Beach-head Phillenley Blayloxzeuss (Yojoe) SalvoInACan Tolan (Yojoe) Dmess, Were-Cat, Nova, and Madmac41 are maybes... Anyone else?

  15. Alright gents....here's the score: For the next meet, we're going to try something a little different, so let me know how this sits with you... The plan: We meet on August 6th (Saturday) around 10AM at my pad, do the Joe shindig for a bit, and then move on over to Wizard World Chicago (comic-con) for the remainder of the afternoon - and then from there, advancing to an as yet unchosen drinking establishment, and then retire back to my pad for continuation of Joe and whatever else... How does THAT grab ya?
