Ransack – Troublemaker Driver

 

Ransack is G.I. Joe’s answer to Cobra’s Firefly. Firefly works best at night. Ransack prefers to raid and sabotage Cobra strong hold during day light. He hates hiding in the shadows and likes to see Cobra troops in panic and running for cover while he detonates his explosives. Cobra Commander was responsible for his father’s death that is why his hatred for Cobra is unquenchable.

Dog Bite – Grey Hound Driver

 

Dog Bite was a former Dog Pound van driver and the toughest street fighter in his town. He may have cracked his opponent’s spine during a street fight competition, but it was purely accidental. Deep down inside he is kind-hearted, most especially to animals. Dog Bite is unbeatable in hand to hand combat. And when he drives the Grey Hound, he becomes a truly an indestructible force.

 

“There was this one time during a fire fight, Dog Bite jumped out of the Grey Hound to bring a wandering dog to safety, then came back to the tank and neutralized the entire Cobra forces. He hated Cobra even more for almost hurting the stray dog.” – Windbreaker

Windbreaker – Sky Raider Glider Pilot

 

During enlistment interview, Jack Myers farted like thunder. Whether he did it on purpose or accidental, only Jack knows. But because of that incident, he earned the name Windbreaker. Windbreaker is the team’s prankster and comic relief. No matter how dire a situation is, his funny antics give his team mates something to smile about.

 

Armed with a long-range rifle and his so-called “Hawk’s Eye” binoculars, Windbreaker never misses his target even in rapid air maneuvers while flying the Sky Raider. Proving that in times of battle, he should be taken seriously.

KIllswitch – Switchblade driver

 

Killswitch was the leader of the Midnight Society, formerly known as the Black Hood. The Midnight Society was a group of modern day "Robin Hoods", high-tech armed pirates who steal from the rich and help the poor. In exchange for legal pardon, the Midnight Society disbanded and its army, called the Sleepwalkers, joined the ranks of G.I. Joe Night Force. The Black Hood changed her name to Killswitch to give honor to the legacy of her friend, the original Killswitch, who died in battle saving her life.

 

Because of her remarkable skills in combat and leadership, she was made squad leader of the new Rawhides team.

Kurt Busiek was one of my favorite writers back in the days. I really enjoyed Astro City and my favorite Astro City character is Jack-in-box. He's like Batman, Spiderman and the Joker rolled into one.

General Hawk is one of my favorite characters in the DiC G.I. Joe series. As a kid, I really liked his flight gear. Hope you like my modernized take of this version of General Hawk.
