    Day 3 - Total Chaos! Part 1

More cool customs today from Ozzie92 and Shipeshape1983, representing Chaos Customs Crew!

    Doublenuts by CCC founder, Ozzie92

When Icecreamman invited to me to join this project, I immediately began to brainstorm Joes whose MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) had not seen the light of day in Joe lore. As I had yet to customize a completely new character, I relished the challenge. I decided on a Navy Plane Captain, Ace's #1 most trusted partner in arms, who would perform flight line checks/etc. on his Skystriker aboard the U.S.S. Flagg. I also wanted to give him a Japanese American heritage, as their amazing W.W. II heroics in defense of our country is sadly very much unknown by the masses. I HIGHLY recommend reading up on Senator Inouye, as well as the rest of the heroes from the 100th and 442nd RCT. The 442nd RCT patch, seen on my character's left shoulder and back of the helmet, is the red/blue/white badge with the arm upholding a torch.

Here is the story behind his codename, "Doublenuts":

The Navy squadron aircraft with "00" (Doublenuts) designation on its tail is the plane that has the Air Wing Commander's name on the canopy rail, in place of a pilot's name. Since Air Wing Commander is the aspiration of my character, I thought it would be funny if Ace jokingly called him that; hence the codename. Check out the file card!

I probably had the most fun trying to replicate the plane hooks (which I believe are used to tie down the aircraft to the flight deck during rough seas). Thanks to Steven Hamm for crafting hooks for me, as well as a few other friends in the Joe community for making timely trades with me. Thanks also to Mark Witkus Jr. for hooking me up with the water slide decals.

Thanks to Icecreamman for including me in this exciting project! I am honored to participate.

  2. Good day and welcome everyone!

We are proud and honored to share with you our concept creations, our fan boy visions of "new character additions" (and vehicles too) to the G.I. Joe universe. With this project, we focused on the good guys, the new recruits of G.I. Joe Reloaded Program.

In doing this project, there were many sleepless nights. We even worked on our customs in between real life work, and some of us wrote the bios while in the bathroom just to meet the deadline! We gave plenty of time and effort to this project. We had fun and it was all worth it. The friendship that has been forged among our fellow artists is priceless. Now we hope you enjoy as we finally give you…

Let's start off DAY 1 with a BANG. Here is one of the industry's top customizer, MSWI! With his creations, Lockdown and War Eagle!

    Lockdown

  3. With the growing threat of terrorism all over the world, G.I. Joe, the world's finest special mission force, has leveled up the game and recruited more soldiers from various military units to join their ranks. Now G.I. Joe is mightier than ever, ready to eradicate terrorism and uphold peace, justice and liberty.

More than 30 new recruits. Plenty more reasons for Cobra to be scared of. Who are these brave soldiers? Which military unit do they come from? Meet them all and learn who they are in September and witness...

    G.I. JOE RELOADED

New G.I. Joe member/s will be introduced each day starting September 1. So be there when the revelation begins!

Yes, I'm pulling a Resurgence stunt! LOL

But seriously, a few weeks back, I've assembled a few base figures and I intended to custom a "concept" team of G.I. Joe like Tiger Force or Battle Force 2000. But Resurgence made a huge impact on me. I was really inspired by the work OB and the Resurgence crew have accomplished, and since I really wanted to do something special to celebrate my 1st year anniversary as a member of the Syndicate and my birthday, I've decided to make my G.I. Joe "concept" team like a new season team of Sunbow cartoons with a whole bunch of new characters. The good guys first. (Cobra Reloaded next?)

I know the idea is quite ambitious and Resurgence really set a high standard. I just feel it’s quite fun to do a big project for the first time, to feel the rush and challenge myself.

But there is truly more fun and excitement when brothers come along to join the ride and give support. That is why I am so thankful and honored that G.I. Joe Reloaded will showcase outstanding customs from the industry's top talents: MSWI, ManyMackCreationz, Phantro, Syndicate Customs, Chaos Customs, Mayhem Customs and more!

With this project, we pay tribute to all the artists behind the comics, filecards and cartoons we all loved. To all the talents behind the action figures and vehicles that made our childhood exciting which up to now has been part of our lives.

But most importantly, this project goes out to the real heroes, the military, the police, the firemen, the doctors, the teachers, the men and women who risk their lives to make the real world a safe and better place for all of us. We salute you.

  5. My modern take on Dusty and Sandstorm, based on the 90's G.I. Joe ARAH figure. Hope you like it! :)

Head, hat and web gear – Retaliation Flint

Torso, arms and legs – 25th Roadblock

    Right hip – 25th Gung-Ho

    Left hip – ROC figure

    Sandstorm – 25th Timber

Sharing a few new Joe customs of mine. Hope you like it! :)

Head and leg pads – MU Infinite Series Steve Rogers

Torso and upper arms – 25th Snow Job

    Lower arms – Indiana Jones

Legs and helmet – Retaliation Flint

  7. This is my second take on Marvel Comics’ Spirit of Vengeance. I used a 25th Crimson Guard as base figure for my first version of Ghost Rider. I just wanted to give my Ghost Rider a more “biker”/leather-clad look than a black Crimson Guard-ish look. I initially wanted to use a Retaliation Firefly, the one with the collar. But the collar seems kind of big for Ghost Rider. I thought ROC Thuderblast’s torso with a smaller collar would look better. Hope you like it! :)

    Head – MU Ghost Rider

    Torso – ROC Thunderblast

    Upper arms – 25th G.I. Joe Trooper

Lower arms – Retaliation Storm Shadow

    Hips – 25th G.I. Joe Trooper

    Legs – 25th Viper

  8. I really love Usagi Yojimbo. I’m happy I was able to custom him. I initially wanted to custom Usagi based on the 80’s TMNT cartoons/action figure version with his traditional samurai look using Retaliation Budo as base figure. But later on I decided to custom Usagi based on Stan Sakai’s original look, like how appeared in Dark Horse comic books.

There are plenty of TMNT supporting characters I would love to custom, currently narrowing down the list. Among them are Baxter Stockman and Genghis Frog (so I can finally use Retaliation Kwinn’s hips in shorts.)

    Hope you like it! :)

    Head – sculpted

Rabbit ears - cut out pieces of MU Gladiator’s cape

Body – Retaliation Ultimate Storm Shadow (with sculpt work on the upper arms)

  9. The Grey Ghost is my second favorite character from Batman: TAS, the first of course is Harley Quinn. This is my second take on the character. I used a 25th Crimson Guard as base figure for my first version. I just wanted to make my Grey Ghost less Crimson Guard-ish and replaced a few parts and sculpted a few parts this time. Hope you like it! :)

    Head – Indiana Jones

Hat – VvV figure (I think)

Torso (with sculpt work) and hips – 25th Crimson Guard

Upper arms – 25th Cobra Commander

    Lower arms – Terminator figure

    Legs – ROC Storm Shadow
