  1. Good looking Joker, but I am going to skip it for the batmobile(which is coming next year but I am also going to pick up a Captian America and so I want to keep my hot toys buying a minimum.)
  2. I got mine just today form BBTS.The grip I have there is too many accessories and one of them broke off. Oh well at lest I got a hot toy.
  3. Well, time to spend you money else where .deal with other toy companies.Write to them and say I do not like you business practices.but sadly people are buying these toys so the business is going to do this painting detail and doing these subscription crap. than again I usually buy stuff form NECA and DC direct or the more expensive figure companies.
  4. It looks good ,I know someone is going to complain about it.
  5. I have a suspicions ,the cameo is a flashback.you know Talia is in this film.
  6. I disagree,I think the burton films were sometimes burton films especially Batman Returns.I still can not live with the Joker killing Batman parents.I love both film series but both had their own take on Batman(and I do not have any problem with it).
  7. I'm not really against artists getting a shot at writing either, however DC is attempting to rewrite their entire universe and draw in new readers. This is a time when they should be having the best of the best in writing their books and so many are being handed off to inexperienced one. Some of veterans of the business, but inexperienced writers none the less. On a side note, I couldn't help but notice in the preview to the next JLA storyline that Phantom Stranger is speaking to Pandora and about how she "Rewrote reality". Is this reference to the pre-Flashpoint universe? I haven't actually read that series, so I'm not entirely sure. thats the first I read of it too. I'm happy phantom Stranger is around though. It almost seems to me that the old universe will be coming back at some point in the near future. It's always possible. They will wait until sales go down in all comics, then they will pull the trigger. Pulling the trigger could mean killing DC Comics though. Time Warner isn't going to just keep putting money into something that may not be making a profit. If sales go down on the 52 titles, Warners may be the ones who make them pull the trigger. The sure don't want some publishing gimmick interfering with their big money properties. +1 ,I do not see DC comics going anywhere anytime soon.
  8. I have not read any of the reboot but I do not think it is a big deal any of you are making it.I bet you that the old DC will be back.
  9. @hmmm@ bit harsh do you think not.Hoenestly I think Dark knight Return was good book.Sure it has it flaws but the artwork is great and the story to me was amazing.Batman went a bit over board with his grittiness and overall big a little bit too psychotic. But I do hate Dark knight strikes agin god was that book plain stupid(but not has stupid as all star batman and Robin.) DKR may have been a good story if another writer wrote it, but the characters were portrayed to harshly for me to enjoy. Frank gave some interviews on his thoughts of the batman characters and it doesn't help his case any. I refuse to read allstar batman and robin. Also I never like the 50's batman comics. I'm still just going to burrow BYO from a friend. okey we agree to disagree.not everyone is going to like him.as I said I am not that big of a fan of his also.
  10. I could not read the whole thing but I think you are going a bit over board with what you think the batman films should be.The problem is that there some things that work in the comics that do not work in film(ie the costume look will be hard to do ,you need a very physical looking actor and the blue and grey look will look to silly on film.) .Also I read there is alot of stuff that has influenced the films form the comics.Like the example you give for the Rooftop scene in the dark knight .That is actually influenced by the Long Halloween which had few pages were batman and Gordan and Dent talk on a rooftop. But at the end of the day they are making a moive and having a different take on the Character because if they didn't and making the films like the comics then the films would be very boring and unappealing to me because if I want to see the comic batman I read the comic batman,if I want to see Nolan's Batman I would see Nolans Batman or Burtons Batman. All in all I just not worry about it ,because it will not changed that batman in the comics.I wish that fanboys stop complain and enjoy the movies as they are(I did hate batman and Robin but that because I thought that movie was overblown and was too rushed into theaters.)
  11. @hmmm@ bit harsh do you think not.Hoenestly I think Dark knight Return was good book.Sure it has it flaws but the artwork is great and the story to me was amazing.Batman went a bit over board with his grittiness and overall big a little bit too psychotic. But I do hate Dark knight strikes agin god was that book plain stupid(but not has stupid as all star batman and Robin.)
  12. Me, either. Miller is an over-rated talent who confuses shocking violence with cleverness and good writing. Ever actually picked-up an issue of "SIN CITY"?? It's so bad that it's virtually unreadable, but people talk about it like it was Shakespeare. The bar in comics has gotten VERY low, indeed. @grumpy@ I love sin city that book is awsome.Sure did Frank go overboard with the violence but this was comic for older audiences and it was not a superhero comic at all.It is actually very easy to read. But that is your opinon.I do agree the bar in comics have gone very low but Comics as a meduim have alway have their share of duds.Heck have you read some Batman comics in the 50s talk about chessey.
  13. It was not a bad movie ,I enjoyed for what is was.I am not a big miller fan myself but I did enjoy year one.I do agree that The oc kids acting in it was not good but then agin what can you do when you are part of a show that protrayed all the kids preppy and had no goth kids or punk rockers.
