  1. I'm wondering if the cast of Leaguers at the end holds any kind of significance. I remember seeing Superman, Fate, Metamorpho, Cap Atom and others.
  2. Yeah, Dove is low Priority for me. Booster, Red, Aquaman, and Atom Smasher are higher.
  3. Yeah, It wasn't Fate I'm worried about. I still see his single a lot at KMart. I was mre concerned with the Booster Gold/Aquaman/Atom Smasher/Red Tornado/Hawk/Dove singles. I was hoping to get all those singles for their accessories. But that wave was like non-existant . It also wouldn't hurt to see the Target exclusive figures as singles. I've already got mine, but I'd like to grab an extra Bizarro for 5 bucks.
  4. In preparation for Toyfare I was looking at TNI's SDCC coverage, and one picture struck me. In one shot, we clearly see a single pack Dr Fate in the new DC Superheroes packaging. Has anything been said about more singles?
  5. I like the whole Hawkman thing, but you can tell it was supposed to draw out over more than 2 episodes. It was rushed, and I'm not thrilled about the whole "everyone has an ancient egyptian counterpart" thing either. Basic plot was ancient Shyera wanted sex from Katar, but he was too busy conquering, so she made nookie with his general who turns out to be later reincarnated as John Stewart. So Carter then realizes that he's not destined to be with ehr after all, so he just leaves. Then GL realizes that he really is supposed to end up with Shayera so he naturally decides to stay with Vixen instead and ignores his own advice about time paradoxes by telling Hawkgirl that they have a son in the future. So naturally, a lonely Hawkgirl seeks out Batman in order to learn about her son, and maybe get some Bat-nookie.

  7. The brief cameo by Nightwing made the episode for me.
  8. The pegs on his knees are now grey. They used to be blue, which was a total miscolor.
  9. If we get the inevitible Multi Packs, they'll most likely be groups, like Marvel Legends. Perhaps a JLA 5 pack, or a Superman and Batman vs Luhtor and the Joker set. I can't see them putting the same character in the box 3 or 4 times. Not for anything other than a colelctor's market, not retail.
  10. At the risk of being redundant, I look forward to selling my kidney in order to afford the Bat Cave. Seriously nice looking bricks though.
  11. Dang, and here I am still trying to get my hands on Batsignal Bats, Attack Armor Bats, and Battle Armor Nightwing.

    Not Happy!!

The probelm with He-man and Skeletor was that they consisted of about 90% of every case. I remember some of the later cases had up to 3 different version of He-man per case and only one secondary figure. his first wave should have definitely had Croc shortpacked with Batman getting an extra slot. Depending on how "normal" the Battle Damage and Stealth Jumpers look, they could either again sell quickly or be doomed to the pegs. If they do subtle damage like the Diamond exclusive set, it's a keeper. But if Batman is in a dark green and brown motif with nothing but blobs of flesh colored paint strewn randomly, I won't bother. Stealth Jumper makes me a bit queasy. To me it screams awful color scheme and molded in gimmick. I hope I'm wrong, and the stealth aspect is just a completely black costume with the yellow oval ala Tim Burton, with an easily disposeable accessory that in noway limits the sculpt. And for the love of God, who decided to nix the ball joint on this figure's head? But I have to say, I'm thus far pleased with the line.
  13. He means singles. I thought the same thing. That wave of singles never hit here, and blam, there was the new packaged figures. At least around here though, it was just a holiday thing. It looks like after the new packaging figures sold out, the Targets around here went right back to the exclusive 3 packs and singles of Booster, Smasher, Aquaman, Hawk, Dove, and Tornado.

I think that for this initial wave, Batman should have been 3-2-2-1. What I fear now is that due to this response, the following waves will be 3-2-2-1, with Battle Damage and Stealth Jumper again becoming peg warmers. It seems almost like Mattel prefers to shortpack the standard Batmans, but goes heavy on the variants.
  15. I just found a pair of Banes from a fresh case at Walmart. No Osito, but I can deal with that.
  16. 6 inches? So they're not even in scale. By their looks, they scream to me "I break when you open me!"
  17. Yeah, the original and Attack Armor ones are the only ones that don't have those aweful extra joints. I had some high hopes that Mattel was going to release some more non-articulated versions of the older figures given that they had pics of the non-articulated older ones on the back of the new figures, but while Flash is shown on the package without the extra joints, the actual figure has the crappy elbows and knees.
  18. I think she's way too tiny. The STAS supergirl is IMO a better scale. But she's the slightest bit too big.
  19. I just noticed that the figure doesn't come with any accessories. Not that it truly matters in the long run, as I doubt anyone will open him.
  20. Ducards are starting to become common around here now. It's still cool though for Mattel to help move the figure into people's hands by saturating TRU with an exclusive figure. My only beef as I think I mentioned before, is that they could have made the exclusive figure 100 times cooler by making him in a green (different from the chase) color scheme and with a green version of the cape that comes with Ra's. That would not only make him cooler as a figure, but would be a nice throwback to the BTAS version which introduced most people to Ra's Al Ghul
  21. Bogus not like limiting cool figures to 100. Bad medicine.
  22. My question is, have they removed all internal gimmicks from the line? Does Croc still chomp? Does Bane still lift his arms? If they eliminated the gimmicks, I'll be one happy Bogus
  23. I finally saw the new figures today. Steel looked interesting, but Supergirl looks like a fast food toy. The other thing that really fried my biscuits was that the Flash was the crappy articulated one, not the 5 PoA one that was on the back of the card.
