  1. What's black and white and red all over? The newest member of the symbiote family, Toxin! This tendriled hero was created from a medium ML body, Agent Venom head, Carnage tendril pack, hands and feet. I used Aves Fixit Sculpt and Pro-Create for the various ooze/tendril sculpt effects on his body and topped the figure off with an airbrushed paint job sealed with Liquitex acrylic semigloss varnish. For more pics head to his page here: Custom Toxin figure
  2. With the Avengers Age of Ultron movie upon us we're getting to see even more classic characters given the Marvel Cinematic Universe treatment. Here I bring you a concept MCU styled Wolverine Marvel Legends custom figure. Should Fox ever give up the X-men rights could we envision Logan looking something like this? Wolverine was made from the upper body/lower legs of a Marvel Universe Apocalypse, Sabertooth lower body, Hush Batman lower arms, and an X-force Wolvie head. Uniform sections, buckles, straps, and fins were all sculpted using Aves Fixit/Apoxie Sculpt. Claws were crafted from carbon steel tines that came from a spring-loaded meat tenderizer sharpened and angled. Wolvie was wrapped up in an airbrushed paint job and sealed with Liquitex varnish for protection. I also created a claw/battle damaged MCU style Captain America shield so you could create some X-men vs Avengers movie battles! Want more pictures? Head to http://www.angelfire...lverineMCU.html and see the rest!
  3. She's deadly, she's powerful, she's got six arms! It's the X-Men's Spiral and here she's been revamped in Marvel Legends style. I started with the upper half of a Target Exclusive Spiral and mounted it to a Captain Marvel lower body. She sport's Black Widow's head, different dance-pose hands, and Spiral's leg fur was hollowed out and attached to the new legs. Winter Soldier's belt was added along with the original Spiral's helmet. A modded Scarlet Witch hex became her magic effect and she can wield three different swords with the new hands. One airbrushed paint job later and Spiral was ready to capture the X-Men in the name of Mojo! For more pictures head to her page here: Marvel Legends Spiral
  4. Here's an update to an old favorite, a custom Marvel Legends Symbiote Spider-Man! I started with the new 'pizza Spidey' and sculpted in the joint holes using Aves Fixit then trimmed the joints for proper clearance. The front and back spider symbols were carefully painted on freehand and I even created a 'transformation Peter Parker' alternate head showing the Symbiote crawling up his face to form the mask just like the old Medicom toy. The blue highlights were airbrushed on (even on his individual fingertips!) as was the lighter blue on his eyes and symbols using Blu-tak (poster putty) to mask off sections I didn't want sprayed. The outcome? My favorite and most detailed black costume Spider-Man custom to date! For more pictures head to his page here---> Symbiote Spider-Man Custom
  5. Straight from the comics comes this custom Marvel legends Immortal Iron Fist in 6" format. I loved that we got a new Iron Fist in the Odin wave but wasn't happy with the body used for him. Here I combined a Machine Man body with the Iron Fist lower legs, head, and multiple hands. This time we went for the shirtless look and gave him a new belt with poseable tails for win effects, same for his mask tails. Add a hand painted chest symbol, airbrushed paint effects from head to toe, and some flame effect parts, Iron Fist is ready to destroy any enemy that challenges him! For more pictures head here---> The Immortal Iron Fist, shirtless!
  6. To kick off a new assortment of Marvel Legends customs I bring you Hawkeye as you've always wanted him, in his classic Avengers outfit! He was fairly simple to make using the Odin wave Hawkeye and replacing the Winter Soldier mech arm with Black Panther's and giving him new hands. Wrist cuffs and arm bands were sculpted on as well as a quiver strap and all joint holes were sculpted over. But the real difference is how I'll be painting my figures in the future. They'll be fully airbrushed. Now all basecoats, shading, and highlights will be done using an Iwata HP-cs Eclipse airbrush to achieve a subtle, cleaner look. It got to the point where I plateaued using brush work and needed to raise the bar. Hawkeye was also given a modified Red Arrow bow that actually fires arrows along with three bolts to use. So here's Hawkeye, the first of a brand new level of paint work! More pics here--> Classic Avengers Hawkeye
  7. The dynamic duo is here! It's the Army of Two! Pinky and the...ok, it's just Deadpool and his Sidekick Bob, Agent of Hydra. These two have become the staple of the Deadpool comic series for a stretch and I decided to give them life in figure form. Deadpool was created from a Target 3-pack Captain America body, sculpted face, moddedNECA TMNT Leo swords/sheathes, sculpted suit detail and a hand-painted belt buckle. Hydra Bob was created from...you guessed it a Hydra Agent body, Winter Soldier webgear, Nick Fury belt, and modded Guardian head. He even comes with a Hydra office mug to sip a latte while watching his buddy Deadpool do what he does best. For more pics check out their page here: Deadpool and Bob, Agent of Hydra
  8. Watch out Avengers here comes Simon Williams the Wonder Man! This superstar has gone under quite a few costume changes over the year and here we have a modern/90's mix. Wonder Man was created using a DC Collectibles Ultraman head, Toxin upper body, movie Iron Man 'hulkbuster' forearms, SOTA Guile hands, and movie Draxx lower body. After grafting the two halves together I gave him different magnetic hands and sculpted uniform detail on his body. Draxx's boots were also resculpted without the sheathes in them. Wonder Man even comes with a tiny Hollywood-style signed headshot photo he can hand out to fans! For more pics head over to his page: Custom Wonder Man -------------------------------------------------------------- There's only one true Fantastic Four and that's the classic Marvel depiction for me. Here in an updated classic outfit comes Mr Fantastic himself, Reed Richards! Richaaaaarrrrdddssss! was made made from a DCD Elongated Man upper body, Dakken lower body, and Bullseye boots. The extendo-neck and arms from Elongated man were kept because let's face it, they're kind of the same character. A DCU Superman head was resculpted for Reed's head and a fanstastic 4 sculpted symbol added. Now to do the rest of the cast. For more pictures head to his page here: Custom Mr Fantastic
  9. He-Man has many armors but one stands alone as the most protective and most powerful of them all, the Eternian Knight Armor! Created by Man-At-Arms and enchanted by the Sorceress herself, He-Man uses this powerful armor to protect himself against the many beasts and magical attacks Skeletor might throw his way. Here I've given He-Man this concept armor design using a Sky-High body, Extendar upper arms, He Man lower arms/head, resculpted Intergalactic Skeletor feet, Sigma 6 armor and various other fodder bits. A Warmachine sword was used for his new weapon and He-Man was given a knightly paint job to finish. For more pictures head to his page here: Eternian Knight He-Man --------------------------------------- When Hordak discovered a race of beings capable of recombining their DNA at will he knew the applications would be endless if he could capture one. But what he didn't know was how hard that would be! Manglord doesn't take kindly to those who trespass upon Manglor Mountain and with his indestructible form easily thwarted Hordak and his minions in battle. Whether he was crushed, pummeled, or even had a limb sliced clean off, Manglord reformed to his original powerful state and continued to fight! If you remember Manglors they were sticky one-piece figures made from Sorbothane that came in eggs. Supposedly you could rip them apart and stick them back together, unfortunately that didn't work and the toy line disappeared. Well here's the ruler of Manglor Mountain, Manglord himself created in MOTUC 7" scale. He was made from a basic MOTUC body, NECA Prometheus Engineer head, Slushhead lower arms, and sculpted petal detail. He was given an extremely detailed swampy paint job using all sorts of dripping and splatter effects. For more pictures head to his page here: Manglors 'Manglord'
  10. He's back just like he promised, it's the Terminator! But this time he's back from...the past. Remember the Kenner Terminator figure line you owned when you were a kid? Well I've gone and created the classic Power Arm Terminator in NECA 7" format. Here you get the vintage toy design with full articulation and that fits in with your current figure collection. The Power Arm Terminator has three interchangeable arms including his cannon arm which fires a missile just like the original, working claw arm, and battle damaged human arm. There's a metal spike that can be inserted into his fist as well. He was created using an NECA Cyberdyne attack Terminator, wrestling figure arms, Duke Nukem legs, and various fodder parts to make his arms. The head/arm was especially challenging because it involved dremelling out sections carefully to allow Endoskeleton additions to be inserted in. I'll be making a line of Kenner themed customs to keep an eye out. Your childhood is calling! More pics here: Power Arm Terminator Custom ------------------------------------------------------------ He's back just like he promised, it's the Terminator! But this time he's back from...the past. Remember the Kenner Terminator figure line you owned when you were a kid? Well I've gone and created the Hidden Power Terminator in NECA 7" format. Here you get the vintage toy design with full articulation and that fits in with your current figure collection. Hidden Power Terminator was created using a wrestling body/boots, NECA head, Battlestar Galactica lower body, Endoskeleton arm, and various fodder parts to create his power cannon. The cannon fires a claw-missile just like the vintage toy! Check out his exposed endoskeleton torso, I had to hollow out the wrestling body and attach it inside while still maintaining full articulation. Hidden Power Terminator even has his Future Wars arm tattoo! I'll be making a line of Kenner themed customs to keep an eye out. Your childhood is calling! More pics here: Power Arm Terminator Custom
  11. With Buzz-Off patrolling the skies there's always trouble on the ground and that's precisely where Mandible Man comes in. Aiding his Andreenid friend in battle with his incredible strength, Mandible man can also chew through even the toughest of armor using his mandibles. His glossy armored carapace is naturally resistant to attacks making him the perfect warrior to charge through a squadron of Horde Troopers or even chew at Snake Mountain's front door! Mandible Man is based on a concept art sketch from the Power and Honor Foundation Catalog #1, appearing as some sort of beetle character. Here he was created in Classics form using a Tung-Lashor body, Buzz-off lower arms/upper legs, TMNT Cockroach Terminator modded back shell, and a custom sculpted head. The base of the head is actually Tung-Lashor's with the horns coming out of his eye sockets. Posable mandibles came from a McFarlane flood Stalker. He was given a glossy coat for his beetle shell and features dark red highlights to it. For more pics head to his page here: Mandible Man ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh no what's this, has King Hsss turned He-Man into one of Hordak's Snakemen or is it just a twisted clone He-Man from the Fright Zone? Either way Snake He-Man has all the power and skills of the real He-Man making him a danger to all of Eternia. Wielding a Venomous Power Sword the scaly Snake He-Man will not rest until his coils are wrapped around Grayskull's throne. Snake He-Man was made using a Calwful upper body, King Hsss head, He-Man hair/forearms, Skeletor hands, and the lower body of a Spawn Sansker. Weights were added to the hollow lower body section to maintain a better center of gravity for posing. A Horde symbol from Karak Nul's casting was added to the original He-Man chest vest and a 2-pack Skeletor power sword was given a clear green paint on the blade. If you look very close the 200X waist armor has the original yin-yangish symbols on it repainted into tiny snake heads! Hissss.. For more pics head to his page here: Snake He-Man
  12. Horde Troopers are a dime a dozen falling to the swords and blasts of Eternian heroes every day. This needed to change and Hordak knew it. Upgrading the Horde Trooper with augmenting everything he could the Horde Trooper Commander was born. This trooper was taller, stronger, and deadlier than any other on the battlefield. Programmed to feel no remorse or fear and with armor fashioned from magical alloys this 'Horde Trooper 2.0' is just what Hordak needed to turn the tide of battle in his direction! The Horde Trooper 2.0 was created using a Marvel Legends Mandroid build-a-figure base body, sculpted head, collar, and shoulders, Grizzlor vest symbol, Sigma 6 wrists/feet, Megatron crotch plate, and Major Maxim hands. A stun rod was created using Flogg's weapons and various parts. He stands 1.5" taller than normal MOTUC figures and was painted using Testors Model master Acryl, Formula P3 paints with Liquitex acrylic varnish sealer. The full picture set can be found here: Horde Trooper 2.0
  13. Often heralded as The Right Fang of Raknus, Aikidor is one of the most powerful Arachna from the underground. He was last seen alongside Jitsu during the Battle for Gretori Bridge cocooning victims and hanging them from the pylons to serve as a warning. An explosion threw Aikidor from the bridge and he was thought dead, but a quickly spun webline had saved his life. After a day spent climbing up from the seemingly endless chasm below the battle was over when Aikidor finally emerged. With his mastery of talon-to-claw combat this Arachna warrior vows vengeance against those who made him miss out on the glory of battle that would have been his! Aikidor was created using the lower half of an amazing NECA Spider Gremlin with the center leg sections removed, MOTUC Webstor head/arms, 9th Kingdom armor sections and sculpted armor, and DC Universe new 52 Darkseid body. A series of washes and blending helped bring the red, green, and yellow colors together with a Jitsu themed armor look. Aikidor, Right Fang of Raknus
  14. Rival and usurper to Mer-Man's kingdom within the Sea of Rakash the powerful Mer-Mar rules his territory with an Aquatican army, ready to expand his reign further should the chance arrive. With his warriors Mer-Nik and Mer-Kin at his side not even He Man will stand a chance! Mer-Mar was created using a Lord Dactus body, King Hiss modded body armor, Skeletor feet, and a Mer-Man head with parts of a How to train your Dragon Cloudjumper integrated in. One sea styled paint job later and Mer-Mar was ready to take to the Crystal Sea. For more pictures head to his page: Mer-Mar, MOTUC original character
  15. Watch out Megaman, one of the most prolific enemies in the game has a new upgrade! Continuing in my Megaman Marvel Legends line comes Sniper Joe, the shield-wielding Reploid. He's 6" scale and created the same way my other Megaman figures were using an Ultron/Titanium Man base body a Flashpoint Cyborg limbs. Sniper Joe's helmet came from an NECA Hit Girl figure and I installed a moving reflective eye that can be positioned to track his prey. Sniper Joe comes with two different gun-arm barrels and a blast effect that can be attached to either one. To top it off there's a removable shield that magnetically attached to his arm providing him extra defense. Now Megaman has some real competition! More pictures here---> Sniper Joe -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the Robocop vs Terminator video game our hero had to recreate his armored body in a Terminator factory far in the future. But why stop at just one? Here I give you the Robocop T-800 mass production model, perfect for fighting the armies of Skynet! Taking a basic NECA Robocop I carefully hollowed out the helmet and lower head/jaw replacing it with an Endoskeleton head. The hands are also swappable with Endoskeleton hands and Robodrone comes with his trademark pistol as well as a larger future battle rifle. The paint scheme was done to resemble video game shading to fit in with NECA's Robocop vs Terminator line. Now Robocop has a brand new skeletal visage complete with removable helmet to show it off! More pictures here---> Robocop T-800
  16. The powerful King Multarmo rules the Root Jungle deep below the forests of Eternia. There he swings from dangling roots and keeps watch high above the surface skirmishes until his aid is needed. Multarmo was created using two MOTUC Stratos body and arms, Moss Man head, hands, feet, and Mer-Man armor. The extra arms are fully functional and hinged at the ab-joint allowing for complete range of motion. King Mulatarmo can wield his powerful club or bone dagger as he swings into battle against whatever foe threatens Subternia! [Creating a four-armed MOTUC is fairly easy using this design. First crack open the lower ab crunch, then the upper chest so you can remove the plastic bar that runs through them. Without any extra modification glue the lower abs together around the shoulder pegs. Carefully carve holes into the upper chest and snap that over the abs. The shoulder peg of the extra arms is now your ab crunch hinge and the arms retail their full articulation!] For more pics head here---> King Multarmo ---------------------------------------------------------------- Eternia has seen its share of tyrants but deep below dwells a being so dangerous, so ruthless, he can only be called...Terra-Bull! Twisted brother of Terra-Starr, this villain has plans for Subternia's Crystal Core and only the combined might of the heroes above and below can stop him! Terra-Bull was created using a Hydron Body, Space Skeletor legs, Crysis figure hooves, King Grayskull cape, FFVII Guardian Force Odin hands, 4H Timekeeper head, and various other fodder parts for armor and details. He features metallic red sections and comes with a Drill Staff he can use to tunnel his way through his foes. Watch out Eternia, Skeletor has competition! For more pics head here---> Terra-Bull
  17. Basically a modification for the stock DC Collectibles Red Hood, I was able to make him look like his normal appearance here. The lower blade-gauntlets were replaced with NECA's Colonel Stars and Stripes lower arms, face resculpted without the nose/mouth using Aves Apoxie Sculpt, and a full repaint along with some added leg straps. The back of his knees, arms, and hips were modded for a better range of motion as well. For anyone wanting his more classic appearance this is great start! More pictures, head here---> DC Collectibles Red Hood mod
  18. A visit to Hordak's Slime Pit usually means a lifetime of zombie-like servitude...or worse. But sometimes the Pit gives something back that's far more terrible. Enter Toxis, the slime-powered Skeleton Warrior! He was created from a Man-E-Faces body, He-Man loincloth, head/hands/feet from the Hellboy Graveyard skeleton build-a-figure. Hoses and back containers came from a Max Steel villain. A Spy Monkey axe was customized into a Slime Axe and the whole figure was painted using Testors Acryl and Formula P3 paints. More pics here----> MOTUC Toxis
  19. Steampunk Marvel is back and this week you're met with an unstoppable force, the Juggernaut! Now looking more like a 'Juggerknight' this version fits in with my current Steampunk theme. He was created using an XMC juggernaut body, Spidey Classics Jugs helmet, WoW character face inside, 4 Horseman Seventh Kingdom elephant armor, Gears of War boots, He Man power punch gauntlets, and lots of other fodder parts. His steam backpack is powered by the Cyttorak Gem and he was painted with a ton of different metallic colors. Real metal gears and rivets were used as well. More pics here----> Steampunk Juggernaut
  20. It's X-Men time again and here I bring you the time-traveling warrior Bishop in 6" Marvel Legends scale to round out your X-teams. Bishop was created using a Toxin body, wrestling figure forearms/hair, Gears of War Marcus hands, ML Drax head with sculpted beard, Forge harness, and fodder parts created belt/buckles. The hood of a SAW horror figure was perfect for his scarf and he was given some futuristic looking weapons to wield against his enemies. I was really surprised how well Drax's head worked and how it works with the modern dread-colied hair he sports in the comics now. This Marvel legends Bishop is locked and loaded for action! More pictures here--> Bishop X-Men custom 6" figure
  21. You know who he is, yes? It's the intergalactic bounty hunter known as Death's Head and here I've created him in a 6" scale to fit right in to your Marvel Legends collection! Based off his blue armor comic look he was created with a ML Stryfe body, Ultron lower legs, custom sculpted face on a Major Maxim head base, and various Apoxie Sculpt details to add to his design. His right hand comes off allowing you to attach an axe, mace, or trident to his wrist, all of which he can wield in his hand as well. Death's Head also comes wit a giant gun with a removable energy effect as well to aid him in his hunt. Standing an inch taller than normal figures Death's Head is one menacing fellow, yes? More pictures here--> Death's Head custom 6" figure
  22. You know the look, you know his style, and when the bad guys see the classic white skull they know it's over. This week I bring you a custom Marvel Legends Punisher based on the classic outfit but with a modern design element. He was made from a Marvel Now Captain America Legends base, Kickass 2 hands, resculpted XMC Magneto head, and Aves Apoxie sculpted skull logo/details. I gave him an assortment of weapons and some nifty muzzle-flash effects that you can pick up on Amazon. Now the Punisher is ready to...take on the villains of Hell's Kitchen! Pretty sure you thought I was going to say 'punish' didn't you. More pics here----> Marvel Legends Punisher
  23. Vengeance is back with a brand new look! Actually I've tackled him before but here I got to use the new Agent Venom body for the base making him larger and more menacing. This custom Vengeance was created using the aforementioned Agent Venom base, Spawn gunslinger hands, ML vengeance bone wrists/upper chest and spikes. Sportsmaster's belt was used as was the original movie Vengeance's belt for his leg gear spikes. I made him an upgraded whip-sickle using bone tendrils that came with a boxed Spawn figure and wingblade from a FF8 Guardian Force Bahamut. Now Vengeance is ready to ride with or against Ghost Rider, movie style! Full picture set here---> Vengeance
  24. Absolutely perfect! And nice line shadows too
