True that, your right, the more popular it gets the more retailers charge, but remember it goes hand in hand companys too charge more for the same product with time as they get more popular. the play-set is awesome I picked it up as soon as toys r us put on their website and I got a discount for spending over $100 and Free shipping so I paid $97 to have it shipped to my front door.

Just picked up Wave 1.5 at Wal-mart last night and noticed my receipt after I got in the car and saw That I had just paid 8.88 not 7.77. so changes are always coming and I dont understand how Toy companies think they can squeeze the consumer for as much as they can and then blame the consumer for a failing toy line. "its doing good how can we make it fail? oh ok charge the crap out of it and watch the parents not pay the outrages amount we are asking" to me $3 more no big deal but wait whats next and you know its coming. its the new trend and it kills a toy line every time. I think Transformers Masterpiece is also getting up there.

Any way back to the figures I think this wave should be called wave 1.5 not 2 because they were showed at the same time as the first ones. I think the winner of the 3 new figs is Fishface. the sculpt and paint are nice, and the articulation works well with this sculpt.Even though its not like the turtles. second would be Metal Head he is the best sculpt and design out of the 3 but.... he is way to small isn't he supposed to be a little bigger than the turtles? not as small as Michelangelo. Also the paint fails the yellow is great but the flat grey should have been a gun metal like fishface's legs, and the wires in his abs don't go all the way around(you can see the unpainted wire sculpts. And then there's Dogpound I think they used a good portion of the budget on his size out of the three. He is kind of cool because he is a big villain for the turtles to fight but... his articulation and paint apps suck. he should have had a elbow cut and been all the way painted. I think they compromised on the budget for each figure 1.Fish face got the good paint apps(shading and bright colors) 2. Metal head got the design but lost size and paint to the others. Dog Pound is about the size of plastic but less paint and articulation.

Yes they are fake. Use them at your own peril. mine worked at target, but they did not scan so the cashier had to enter them manually. Also if you try to buy something less than five $ before tax it will not work I tride it at toys r us and the guy said the coupon was not reading.

Thanks that saves me some tax and puts MU at around $3 bucks each!

And on the Discontinuing the brand no thats not true so dont worry, but it does mean they will no longer order that exact figure or wave any more. they will no longer order goliath or frost giant but will order sentinals. Same with Marvel Universe.

Wow I just walked into Wal-mart and the Mattel Vender had just been through, I talked a little and then ran through the ailse like a little kid, they had DC 5 Packs, Bat man Legacy's and Movie masters, batman arkham city 2 packs, and the new Monster Highs(for my daughter). Lego had the new starwars sets, with battle of endor, Kingdoms, and new ninjagos. Hasbro had Sentinal,and new 3 packs, starwars transformers and fisherprice heroes

Ahh Man dont pass on him this is an awsome masterpiece, Trust me you will regret it later. I passed on a Grimlok twice last year and on the 3rd weekend he was no where to be seen once collecters and scalpers get wind its gone for ever trust me $60 is way better than $130 on ebay. Do It Do It NOW!
