  1. So I went to Target this morning and they had put out what seemed like half a box of Wave 14. Picked up Scarlet Spider and Doom for RunRMC65 and left Skaar and Falcon on the pegs. Dr. Strange was nowhere to be found. From there, I went to Wal-Mart to re-examine the sticker I saw yesterday, and it was marked for just the last two comic packs (TM/DP, P/SS). I also checked out their reset planners, and MU will still be alive and well in the store. All the Hasbro and Marvel stuff will be grouped together, but it will be on a different aisle, as all the summer stuff is being phased out. TRU was a bust, but I went super early, so they might have stuff there when I go by later on today.
  2. It makes sense, though, that they would markdown the stuff that's been there a while. My Wal-Mart marked down the Gigantic Battle packs, but those sets have sat on the shelf for months. Ditto with the comic packs (aside from the ones they finally had enough space to put out). I think they're just trying to shift old stock out before they have to do fall resets. Target did the same thing by marking down Thor and Iron Man stuff (and adding price specials for MU and CA toys), while TRU is doing something similar right now with the 2 for $10.99 deal. In fact, I was told by a manager to check back on Friday (tomorrow) because that's when they were getting all the new stuff in, so I'm not inclined to believe that my area is cutting back on a line that has sold well whenever and wherever it has been readily available.
  3. I'm fairly certain there was a red sticker on the peg, but I recall it being specifically for the Patch/Silver Samurai and Taskmaster/Deadpool sets. I'll check tomorrow morning to see if it was for all sets. And what would it mean if they were discounting the line? That all the figures get marked down or is it a step to getting MU marked out completely at that store? Because that store has been my bread and butter for getting MU figures, and they've never had a problem with stock moving out of the store. Or did you mean discontinuing? Because that would be equally absurd. It's honestly the only toy in the action figure area that sells regularly, although the comic packs have stagnated (seriously, who needs 12 more Secret Wars or Wave 2/3 comic packs)?
  4. Picked up an extra Taskmaster/Deadpool set at Wal-Mart for only $11. Seems like they marked everything down to make room for the fall comic packs.
  5. So this is where all the cool kids are hanging out while we wait for the boards to go back up...
