  1. Well I was set to buy both sets but since you can buy all four Retaliation figures at retail for slightly cheaper, why bother.
  2. I think that most parents (and I'm a parent) would look and see that other comparable figures are running the same price or sometimes more so wouldn't think twice about paying that price. I mean, Star Wars, MU, Avengers and Joes are all about $10. Halo are $12 to $15, ML are $15 to $20, heck even the small Lego sets (Avengers or DC) are $10 to $13. So it all comparable when you get around to it. So I saw these last night but was in a hurry and not able to really looks at them. Did notice the couple of Joe troopers were the blue ones not the tan and that CC was black and not blue. SO it looks like we might have a couple variants or running changes in the line already.
  3. Interesting thats there aren't any issues of Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow or Cobra this month. Wonder if the rumors of IDW trimming down the Joe lines of comics is true after all.
  4. Late to the party, but I picked up a Skystriker yesterday at Target for $17.50. Had been wanting one but just didn't think I really had the space for it (as a matter of fact I know I don't) but at that price. Really a beautiful toys. Hasbro really went all out on this thing and if they just put this kind of thought and effort into Joe as a whole I think everyone would enjoy this line a lot more. Now to find a couple hours to apply all the stickers.
  5. I'm liking it, now to decide if I'm gonna jump the gun and get a non-attendee pack. I like a majority of the figures, which I kinda hate because I was hoping I could turn around and sell some of them and recoup some of the money I would spend. As for Horror Show, I like the head sculpt and the torso doesn't bother me but I hate those knee's. I hated them on all the Roadblock's they've been used on and I hate them here.
  6. So far they are only showing up at DG, so that's where that rumors coming from. But they are shipping in a case of one of each figure per case and all the stores I've read about have only been getting a single case in right now. I just keep telling people that it's still early and these figures are just starting to show up.
  7. All the drivers for the Retaliation stuff are like this. It's been one of the big issues since we started seeing stuff at TF.
  8. Got a set yesterday @ $6 a piece. They were at the second one I tried. Because I wanted another trooper and a second Snake Eyes ( I want to switch the thigh and knee with that PoC SE) I looked at several more. In total I went to eight and only found them at the one. Granted it's still early in release so I'm hoping to find them at some other point in time.
  9. Yeah,it's the only one around here and it's pretty close to my house. They open in early March and stay open until October. Usually they have $10 carload nights from March until Mid-May , then again from the end of August until they close for the season.
  10. I think the thing about the Hulk is the first it was more of an emotional response to the situation. He had just been arguing with the other characters and the the explosion, well Banner lost focus and the Hulk just took over and lashed out. Where as the second time Banner was in control when he switched over to the Hulk and that might have let him have a little more control over him. BTW. saw it twice. First time was at the drive in with my kids, which was crappy but nice (hey $10 carload for my son, daughter and nephew). Then again yesterday in Imax 3D (so that I could actually watch the movie).
  11. Footloose was the annual club membership figure, so he was $42 or somewhere around there. The FSS hasn't been talked about since the release of the picture back in Dec, but the last newsletter said something about it possibly starting around the time of the convention in June.
  12. Liked that head when it was used in the comic pack, still like it. The only thing is whether I'll "bite" and buy this set or not. I have about $300 set aside for the FSS (Figure Subscription Service) but the last Joe Newsletter said they would probably be unveiling it about the same time as the Con. So I'm sort of hoping the villains of the set are something I don't want and could turn around and sell, thus recouping some of the Con sets expense and still sort of be able to afford the FSS. Bring on the next reveal.
  13. My gripe is that we don't seem to really be getting any movie accurate figures. So far only SE, that yellow Jinx and CC are it. Every other character has the actors head likeness on a reused body.
  14. I think the Soundwave is from he SDCC HISS that is coming out this summer.
  15. I like these too. I think it's silly that people aren't understanding why Hasbro would want a second line out there. The movie Joes are going to be a bit expensive and where I am we have 7 Walmarts, 5 Targets, 2 Kmarts and a TRU. But we have 12 Family Dollar and 10 Dollar General.
  16. People hated The Batman and Brave and the Bold when there were announced, but both series have people that love them now. While I don't like what they have pitched or the designs, I'll wait to see how the show looks when it airs.
  17. Like them all except for CC. Been wanting that SE and SS for some time, the trooper and Shipwreck are just a bonus. I'll bet these are in the $5 to $7 range. Hopefully they'll hit soon.
  18. Nice figure and I plan on getting it. I'll then give the backpack to Zandar since it resembles his original one slightly.
  19. Looks cool, and I'll bet we see this since someone over at the Tank already found figures and the Trooper was the blue mask/cape version instead of the tan mask/cape version in the previews of the figure.
  20. OK, I'm wondering if he's coming with a blue mask and cape or tan mask and cape since we've seen it in both colors? Possible variant maybe?
  21. All I can really say is good luck. Early last year I really hit a funk and decided to get rid of all the comics I had (70+ long boxes) and quit collecting all together. There's only two shops around me and I knew neither would want the whole collection. So your basically left with two choices and then some smaller choices after that. You either sell them as a collection or sort them out into lots and sell them. The two easiest things to do are: sell them on eBay (which would take a lot of time and effort) or get lucky and sell them on Craigslist or the like. I decided to try Craigslist and got two people who tried scamming me and on guy who tried to really "low ball" me on the asking price. In the end I didn't sell them (though the thought has crossed my mind from time to time) and picked up collecting again though I'm not buy anywhere near what I was. I know I wasn't a lot of help, but I thought I'd share.
  22. It's a nice looking figure that comes with enough gear to make most fans happy. The change from blue mask and cape to tan isn't a biggie for me, I liked the blue but the tan works also. I do think the figure looks a little off and I think it's just from the body being that color of green from head to toe. If it had some kind of paint wash of they broke it up a little I think it would make the figure a lot better.
  23. With all the "fanboy" hate on the prequels, I can't imagine what would happen with sequels to the OT. But with that being said just wait. At some point George will pass on and the SW rights will go to his children and then we'll see how bad the actual SW franchise can be mess up.
  24. If he has a wrist that moves it shouldn't be to big a problem to find another gloved hand to replace that one.
