  1. SO am I to understand the Batmobile is in scale for the figures?
  2. As much as I want to like Nova, I just don't think that design works on that figure. I wish they would have went with the more classic design as it was around longer and is closer to the one that the new Nova series will have. Maybe in person the figure will look better, or maybe on a different body the figure would work, but I just find that figure off.
  3. Some people have said it might be a packaging variant like the SDCC Marvel Legends Thor from two years ago. If that was the case I surprised thet Fett isn't in the first wave of figures (like Thor was in ML wave 1), but he could be in wave 2. If this isn't the case it's gonna have to be some kind of figure variant. Maybe color or costume variant. Maybe a cloth cape instead of plastic or real hair for the wookie braid instead of plastic, missle firing backback? I don't know but Hasbro has more sense than to do something like that with SW. Sure people could bring up the Joe SDCC stuff, but that's apples and oranges. Joe is a small group of collectors compaired to SW which has a HUGE WORLDWIDE fanbase.
  4. Looking at the pictures I have just got to know, is it wrong of me that I like this? I'm a sucker for the ships of Star Trek and I might just have to get this. It looks like it's actually pretty big and the fact that I could sit five f=Kreo figures in the bridge makes it that much cooler.
  5. That is probably one of the best head sculpts I've seen in a long time. I would really love to collect this line, but I just can't talk myself into spending that kind of money on a single figure.
  6. Yeah that Firefly is nice, but be careful with the bombs on his back and chest. I had one fall off, without me noticing it and had to crawl around my living room floor looking for it.
  7. So they're going to produce two packs, I'm sure the price will be $50 for that and while Katana and Vibe look nice, it sucks you'd have to spend that kind of money to get the. That MM looks really good and now I have to wonder who they're going to pack with the 4" Injustice Flash. It had better be a pretty good villian because I don't care for the shoulder pads on the character design for the Flash.
  8. So it's Harley and Cyborg. I'm looking forward to the Deathstroke/Green Arrow set, but the WW/Grundy set and this one just don't do much for me. Maybe more pictures will change my mind or maybe seeing them in person will. Still glad to see someone producing DC figures in a 4" format.
  9. I enjoyed Skyfall and will buy it if not next week the week or so after. I've thought that Craig has made a pretty good Bond and hope we see him in a couple more before they decide to get someone else. I grew up with Bond because my Father was a huge fan and I was able to take him to see Skyfall in IMAX, which was the first time in several years he'd been out to a movie and his first time to an IMAX movie.
  10. Since these are being released as two back and it seems to be one hero/ one villian per pack, I wonder who the hero will be? Batman seems to obvious,
  11. Trust me I know how you feel, last week I had to DVR most of Wednesday night so I could make sure I caught it just in case the game went late or ended earlier than expected.
  12. It was nice to see Sidious being all bada$$, through they have been killing quite a few fan favorites lately.
  13. If it wasn't for the internet I don't think half of us would ever have thought about trying Ross, TJ Maxx, Burlington Coat Factory, Tuesday Morning or the handful of other small discount stores to find toys.
  14. Well the Target next to my work put out the play masks and swords, big electric figures and several three packs. No singles figures or vehicles yet. SO I picked up a Cobra pack for the Firefly and the SS backback. Nice set and it was nice to buy something Joe related, not icluding the DG SS repaint last week. I do find it funny that Toys R US is having a sales on Joe and Iron Man figures this week when ew figures aren't gonna be out until next week.
  15. Had some time to kill yesterday so I went and saw Hansel and Gretel in IMAX. Before the actual movie they had a preview of the Joe movie, a full scene and then a new trailer. The scene was really cool and got me excited to see the movie in IMAX. But I will admit that some of the action seemed really fast, slmot to the point of being "too fast" or really blurry. On a side note, right before I went to the movie I stopped by Marshall's to see if they had the variant Dollar General figures as has been reported over at the Tank and they did. So I took the figure along with a pair of pants up to the register to pay and the cashier, who was a older lady in her 50's, asked me if I was going to see the new movie when she saw the figure I was buying. I told her yes and she said she had seen the preview at the IMAX theatre over the weekend and she thought it looked like it might be fun to go see. SO there you go, people are starting to take notice that the movie is coming out.
  16. After reading about someone finding the variant wave of Dollar Store figures at a Marshall's over at the Tank, I decided I would check at the sole Marshall's we have in town. Lucky me, they had a lone Orange Storm Shadow for $5. Since it was the only one I really wanted from the repaint wave I picked it up and looked high and low to see if I could find any other figures but no luck. So if you have a Marshall's in town you might want to check them out.
  17. I just caught up with the show (been recording it since it premiered but hadn't watched it), sat down last week and watch all the episodes within a three day period and must say I really enjoyed the show. I'm enjoying the Island stuff a little more than anything else and enjoying all the "inside jokes" too. I think the show is in good hands and as long as it stays this good I'll keep watching.
  18. I bought this yesterday and sat down and watched it today. Overall I thought it was pretty good and stayed really close to the graphic novel. The animation was good and I was surprised that they didn't change several of the more adult things from the book. I did think the voice acting was hit or miss. I didn't like teh Joker at all and sometimes Weller seemed like he was "phoning in" his Batman lines. I would hope this is a small hint of what they might do in the future with the DC animation division.
  19. It's a nice looking figure but not for that price. What I do find funny is the listing touts that the figure is "in scale" for a RObin that is 10 years old, yet he comes out to Batman Shoulders. My stepson is 10 is only four and 1/2 feet tall, I'm 6'1" and he only comes up my chest.
  20. I have to call BS on this even remotely being a JP figure. The ones we saw were three years ago, and that head is the Dreadnok Burnout head from the BBTS exclusive pack. I think the seller is just putting stuff together. I just find it funny (if that's the case) because I've gotten quite a few figures from Viperskingdom.
  21. Since they're not supposed to be put out until the 10th of Feb, I'm not to worried. What I am worried about is all my Walmarts are in the middle of reset and there are no spots for Joe at all.
  22. Well I would think they were pretty far along with the conversion for 2 and 3, with bits of 4 done since Lucas has shown the Death Star trench battle several times over the last three or four years.
  23. I think the TV show is really dead until well after eps 7 comes out. I don't see what Disney/Lucasfilm is doing with the property as of late. New movies I understand, but Lucasfilm had been working on the 3D versions of these films for some time, so to do this makes no sense to me. Between this, Marvel getting the comics away from Dark Horse and Clone Wars being moved from Cartoon Network to Disney XD I'm starting to get a bad feeling about how they're handling SW right now.
