We started out as collectors. It became increasingly difficult to find our items in stores and from reputable online sellers. There were very few sellers who offered customer service, had items that arrived quickly, in quality packaging, and in the condition as advertised. Collecting Heroes was founded to provide these services and enhance the online buying experience.

  1. Wow, that's the first I have herd of Jet breaking. The newer figures overall are of better quality. For example in one of my videos I did a comparison of the old tails, and the new one that comes with the plane. There is a noticable quality improvement. As for Jet, we will have them back in stock in a week and a half or so. This holds true for most other stores as they were backordered, and no one has gotten a recent shipment of them. - Matt
  2. NECA didn't show any Pirates toys at Toy Fair, so I don't think they have a license for that movie. - Matt
  3. I saw several different topics going. First off, when I talked to Jazwares at Toy Fair they said they have to produce Sega created items, and can pretty much produce anything that showed up in a Sega game. They cannot produce the comic charecters as those are not owned by Sega, but by the comic artists. I think they are producing toys based on fan popularity. As for the general increase in price, it has to do with the increased cost of oil. Plastic is made of oil, and to manufacture toys has gotten more expensive, the manufacturers have passed this cost to the retailers, who in turn had to raise some prices. Oh, and back to the talking abou the Tails with the plane. He was released as a second wave, and not originally shipped with the Knuckles with ATV, Shadow, or Sonic, All Stars Racing 3.5 inch figures. That is why he is harder to find. Many stores did not order them after the intial release of the first wave of figures. I did a toy review on Youtube of the Tails with Plane as well as Knuckles with ATV and Shadow with motorcycle. I really like the Sonic line, and often pop one open for a review. - Matt http://youtu.be/Cp7FvQd06xs
  4. I saw the prototypes at Toy Fair, and they were pending approval as well as the 20th Anniversary Sonic Figures. There will also be Street Fighter figures. The Mortal Kombat figures look good considering the size and price that they will be sold at. I know I will be getting them in as I expect them to be popular. I've seen lots of forums talking about them. - Matt
  5. I loved the original Animated Star Trek. I would like to see another, more updated version. Of not in place of a live action show. I really felt the momentum of the last movie was killed when Transformers came out shorly after. They really need a regular show. - Matt
  6. I think the 4 inch figures are actually pretty nice looking for a 4 inch figure. Obviously the 6 inch have more detail, due to their size. Overall though, I think the 4 inch figures are one of the better figure lines of that scale to come out in a while other than the Tron figures from Spin Master. I also like how they made a Queen Anne's Revenge shi[ for the 4 inch line, I think that will definantly help. - Matt
  7. I'm sure Toys 'R' Us will lose their exclusivity soon enough, they did so with the Jazwares Sonic stuff after all. ---------------- They probibly will after a season or two. We got tons of what were Toys R Us exclusives offered to us by Jazwares. They said they "came out of exclusive". We are waiting for that to happen as I love Adventure Time, and was super excited to hear that Jazwares was going to make them. I think CN needs to make Adventure Time longer, and play it a bit more regularly, as it's one of the only shows worth watching on that channel in my opinion. - Matt
  8. The Adventuretime toys will be a Toys R Us exclusive. I wish they weren't actually, because I would love to have carried them. As for the Aniversary figures. I saw them at Toy Fair in prototype form. Shortly I will be allowed to post the pictures. The thing I like about the classic figures is that they are not simply repackaging of the older figures, but new molds featuring sonic shorter and rounder as seen in the Genesis days. The packaging will feature old school genesis Green Hills Zone graphics. I am really excited about the Aniversary Sonic line. - Matt
  9. The Palisades Muppets figures were amazing! We have a few in stock, but they always go really fast. My favorate were the MegaMuppets. I kept a Mega Muppet Beaker for myself. As for Popco, I always knew them for making the Mario PVC and Vinyl figures. - Matt
  10. I love those figures as well. We will shortly be getting in a MEGO style Sontaran and 4th Dr figures. I saw them at toy fair in prototype form. I haven't actually seen the final product yet. I can't wait to see them. I know I will have to pop one of each open for a toy review. - Matt
  11. The new Dr Who toys look great. We will be getting in shortly the Dr wearing a Stetson hat, the Silence, and a young Amy as a child. I can't wait to bust some open and do a review. After that, I think I will need to make some animated videos using them. Also coming shortly are MEGO style 4th Dr and Sontaran. - Matt
  12. The best Voltron figures are made by Toynami. We have in stock a vinyl figure that stands 2 ft tall. They made only 500 of them. They also had a limited release of diecast figures. I am really interested in the Mattel figures, but if you want more detail, definantly check out the Toynami toys. As for the new show, it should be fun. The new design is different, but I can get used to it, as long as they don't dummy down the story. - Matt Collecting-Heroes
  13. I saw the figures at Toy Fair and the are AMAZING! The pics don't show that Lion O Comes with two swords of Omen, one long, and one short. The build quality is first rate, a nice improvement as Bandai has made some really cheap toys of of late overall. Bandai said that if they do well, they want to make the rest of the crew. The new animated show toys look good as well, with a more almost anime style. They are not to the same scale though, and will be 4 inch figures. - Matt Collecting Heroes
  14. I think the Jazwares figures will be rather popular. They have a good following on the Sonic the Hedgehog line. I saw some prototypes at Toy Fair, and they look really good. We will be getting them in stock once they are released shortly, as well as the Mortal Combat toys they are also producing. I'm really looking forward to Jazwares figures. As for the others they look good as well. - Matt Collecting Heroes
  15. I saw it at Toy Fair, and it looks amazing. Bandai is doing a great job on the new line. They are also making a sword of Omen that collapses and expands. I can't wait to see the actual production item, as I saw a prototype. Collecting Heroes
