  1. But in hindsight, the IGs were a great concept with awful designs. Their status as a counterpart to Battleforce 2000 was never truly realized...

So... aren't they on equal ground with BF2K, who were barely realized at all?

One of the largest disappointments I've ever had with Joes was finding out (as a teenager, long after BF2K had come and gone) that the 'Future Fortress' was little more than a design joke. I can only imagine what it was like for the kids who actually went to all the trouble. The ones I've heard from seem pretty bitter about the whole affair.

Then there's the 'shocking' and terribly lame death they were given in the comics, several years after they'd actually done anything of note (which was basically nothing to begin with). In fact, I'm pretty sure Dee-Jay's first appearance was the issue he died in. Talk about not being realized.

Fact of the matter is that when you break it down, I'm pretty sure IG got a better break than their 'counterpart'. If nothing else, TARGAT is freakin' sweet.

I liked the concept of the T.A.R.G.A.T., but I always thought it was bizarre because it wouldn't work, a design flaw in the uniform. Every T.AR.G.A.T. would probably explode going through re-entry due to the BELT OF GRENADES around their waists.

One interesting note about the IG vehicles is that, if we were to see rereleases, it would be interesting to see what changes Hasbro would make to them, like all the other vehicles. Could be interesting.

I do not know about all of you, but I just received word from BBTS HASBRO has canceled wave 5, therefore they have canceled the preorders. This is what i got:

Hi - Hasbro has just informed us that this item has been cancelled, and as a result they will not be able to fill our orders. We apologize for the inconvenience. We have cancelled all preorders and removed the item from our site.

this was for wave 5. I find it interesting this info comes out AFTER the last series of Q & A for this year. Bumber.......

  2. I am completely out of wall and shelf space, I have to cycle "exhibits" in my "gallery".

ditto, I just did this recently with my 3 shelves lol an just got the best of dvd pack and now have to build the mass device. but it is all good, more the merrier.

  3. These aren't for all tastes. They're a great mash-up of urban design, retro, and a variety of licenses. And the price is much better than most "designer" toys. I have most of the Muggs so far, and I love them. My self looks great with Indy next to Han Solo next to Captain America.

Great description, could not agree more. So far I have the SW waves (MM) and will get the joes one and perhaps a few transformers. Right now I have my kidrobot gorrilaz next to my iron man and gree MM that I got at SDCC. It is cool to display them. I am glad that we are getting these and already pre ordered mine as well as the combat heros, more Joe stuff to enjoy IMO.

  4. I have yet to see the big pack, I would think that it would be out Sept pehaps. I very quickly saw the vehicles and also the animated packs, but now they are gone. I would think that it would be it would not be a hastle to find the battle packs once they are out because if the price for them.

  5. Heck, I am glad that I found this pack in the store lol and that they at least came with the stand lol. It was cool putting the stickers on them, brought back memories. Also I notices that the Breaker stand says Breaker instead of the comic pack "Cpl Breaker". I just popped off the 2 pack Breaker's head and gear belt and put on the comic pack Breaker and there is he is bubble gum and headset and all. The trouble bubble it freakin sweet! Now I need to get some gear for my TV and will prob wait to get it with the extreme packs when we get a TV in that set too.

  6. Okay, so I am in Southern California, and I am surrounded by three Wal-marts, two Targets and one Toys R Us, all with in 15 mintues of eachother give or take. I haven't done a toy run in years, though when I'm in the neighborhood I try to stop by and see if I can find anything good. I have noticed with in the last year or so, or however long the 25th line has been running that there is someone or a team of someones who is buying the figs, then returning them with crappy valor v. venom stuff or DTC joes. Sometimes, they just take the accessories, like Cobra Commander's crystal thingie, or Roadblocks gun. Sometimes he takes the time to try to glue the bubble back on the card, but sometimes it just taped shut...poorly. I see it more at the Wal-marts, but I have seen his handy work pretty much everywhere. Just lately, I found some the the Transformers Animated series replaced with older figures or a Voyager Prime switched out for a Delux. It's very frustrating for me as a collector, but more importantly, it would suck to be a kid and buying what you think is a cool toy and getting it home and finding out you bought a steaming pile of crap.

My question to you, my fellow collectors, is what should I do? I have tried to talk to the workers but they uslually brush me off of look at me like I'm speaking a different language, though sometimes I am. I also think that it has to be someone who works there since they seem to have no problem returning this obviously opened merchandise. I've tried calling the wal-mart and talking to a manager but they had me on hold for a good ten minutes. Any good ideas, or do I wait for Karma to melt this sleezy SOB's collection into a pile of goo. Does anyone else have this happening in your area? And if you are in my area, maybe we can hunt this guy down and split his collection...which must be HUGE judging by the size he has stolen AND the amount he has to trade out.

If you happen to live in Valencia or around that area, I too have seen the same nonscence and have tried to bring this issue up with management just to find the pack back on the shelf the next morning. The one that that I can sugguest is, beat the team or person to the punch. I was able to get a few CG's and other troops builders briefly when I was going daily and early too, but then I had some appointments and then got all screwed up and have not been able to time it the way that I used to. But, this goes for anywhere that you go, you have to beat them to get the stuff first. I know that it sux to see so much replaced, but not much more we can do about it. Hope this helps a little.

I am in the Valencia area!! We should start a posse!

Sounds good to me, PM me ;) we'll get it started
