  1. Obi wan noise is ridiculous. I thought the original was fine. The Vader scream wasn't as bad, but why mess with it? I could have done without the scream. Sounds a little off too.
  2. In my mind the Blues Brothers will always be John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd. They were the real deal. I don't know if a tv show could capture that magic.
  3. I happened upon the Backstage in a Suncoast once. The box was all dented and banged up, but my heart caught in my throat when I saw it. I literally looked around to see if anybody was watching me, as if I had just discovered a briefcase full of drug money or something. Best $50 I ever spent. Too funny. Did you knock down an old lady to get to the register?
  4. It's amazing how simple stills of cut scenes or alternate angles can be nostalgic.
  5. You guys are the reason I can never find Joe figures at the retail stores.
  6. I don't collect them, but they look really cool.
  7. Love that Collect and Connect Stel. Too bad I'm not a Lantern fan so I wouldn't all the figures just for Stel.
  8. Who is the guy with the Nick Fury suit and derby hat?
  9. The ML BAF is still my favorite Sentinel. The SDCC classic color scheme is really cool. I prefer it to the retail version.
  10. Really I missed that one hahahaaaa Your MK banner slows down my loading time.
  11. Can't wait to switch to iphone when my contract ends. iphone 5 here I come baby! I used to be a security guard so the Netflix on the phone would have been great on the late night shift. Yes it was a cake job, but it still sucked.
  12. They need to come up with a special tamper proof seal on the packages. If the seal is broken turn the item away. With the kind of turn-over employees working in these big box stores, I think it's a lot to ask to train them on specific toy lines. They sell a lot of other items too. Plus just a visual check isn't efficient either as the average worker couldn't tell the difference between a figure from 2005 and a similar figure from 2011. We as toy geeks could spot it from a mile away, but 50yr old Mildred working returns wouldn't know the difference.
  13. You forgot to mention heavy, labored breathing. This is a low down dirty practice for sure. Back when GI Joes were sold exclusively by two packs, you saw it constantly...the army builder replaced by some lame character... Unfortunately this conversation always turns to placing blame on the returns cashier and I'm sorry but I'm here to stick up for them. In no way is it in their job description to know all the members of Crime Syndicate. We can easily sit here and say something like "How can they NOT realize that superhero A isn't the same as superhero B!?" because we KNOW this stuff. Their training does not come with a DC or any other fanboy-ish encyclopedia. And as someone who has worked a returns counter for the last 10 years, I can tell you that scammers will hit them with much more than action figures switching. These people take their time and plan their scams well with MANY products. We actually DO look and pay attention to a lot of what we return, but once in a while something slips buy. There, I'm off my @soap@ I have to agree. I pretty sure the typical person working the returns counter could tell the difference between a new figure and an old figure. Toy fanatics don't always work in stores. Someone should tell the fat guy breathing heavy, fondling the figures in the toy isle that they're not edible.
  14. I've heard of this happening a lot. I once purchased a DC Batman figure from Walmart, only to find out that someone had switched the Batman figure for an older version and resealed the package and returned it. I'm real careful now when I purchase toy from the store shelves, especially from Walmart.
  15. I can see $30 not $60. It's a little like offering a pencil with your name on it for 100 bucks. If you sell it for 2 dollars and it's for charity okay, but to charge $100 kinda ridiculous. I have a feeling its not 100% it's more like what ever the artist doesn't get then 100% of what's left after that.
  16. 25th without a doubt. I didn't like the look of the ROC figures.
  17. I was really disappointed when Toybiz lost the Marvel license and Hasbro took over. There was a huge drop in quality when Hasbro took over. Relief came when Toybiz started the Legendary Comic Book Heroes. I thought the LCBH figures were way better than the Hasbro Marvel figures. I'm a big Marvel fan, but I would rather have the lesser known Legendary Heroes figures. Just a better made figure from ToyBiz. Sorry the line didn't survive. Think it was more of a character popularity thing than quality of figure issue. Sad
  18. Wondering when and if they're releasing Zombie figure?
  19. My wife wants to know when I'm gonna sell my toys. Uhhhh........

  20. I frequent TheRaider.net, so I got the heads up early on it. Don't get me wrong this a really cool idea and it's going to a good cause, but $60!! Someone is going to figure out how to do something like this for a cheaper price.
