  1. How can anyone like a set where Roadblock is now wearing a striped sweater? Couldn't they at least paint his flesh as......I don't know, FLESH!? #WTF# And I can't stand using old molds and renaming them as characters who already exist. Action Man is one thing (even though that is the lamest codename ever. I'll bet him and Super Trooper are best buds. Hasbro should have just left him as a 12" only character), but Short Fuse? The poor guy doesn't even get a frankenstein figure, now he is Downtown's twin. That's just lazy.
  2. I'm begging all of you, don't buy this crap. Don't let Hasbro think in any way, shape, or form that this passes as even decent. It's beyond awful. Hell, I thought the convention set was crap. The finished product isn't even fit to be a Corps! set. Why couldn't they make a well produced set of figs that looked like the original Night Force? Was that too much to ask?
  3. Have you lost your damn mind, son? I really hope you aren't being serious. If eagle eye joe is our "commander and chief " then I'm moving France. Hell, I'll bet they don't even have Spy Troops the movie in France. Bonus!
  4. They suck big time. Possibly the worst set of figures ever produced. @puke@
  5. Thanks for that giant stinking pile of crap, Hasbro and Reel FX! I can't wait for the next one, my eyes have almost stopped bleeding from the last one. Thanks again! @rolleye@

  7. Gang, I was wondering if someone could tell me which online site has the Takara (Japan) version of 20th Ann Masterpiece Optimus Prime for least amount of money? Thus far, the cheapest I've seen him for was $95. Anyone know of any site that has him for less? Louis
  8. Everytime I watch Justice League, the same thought goes through my mind.....they had an easy opportunity to make a sensible and balanced team on the cartoon, but decided to just fill it up with stereotypes. For instance, we get Hawkgirl because we needed a second female, and we get John Stweart because they wanted diversity. So, keeping this in mind, who would you have rather seen comprise the Justice League? Remember, you have to fufill the requirements that DC obviously wanted filled, and you have to keep the number of members to a minimum. Here's my list: Superman Batman Wonder Woman Green Lantern (Kyle Raynor) Flash Martian Manhunter Steel Batgirl (staying as Batgirl, but basically being Oracle) and as recurring characters: Aquaman and Supergirl To me, this line-up makes a lot of sense. It's far more in continuity with the previous series than the new show is. Steel could have filled the "diversity" role, and Batgirl could have been "Oracle." She didn't need to be shot, etc....she just could have stayed at the space station most of the time and dispensed info. And then at some point, they could do that whole storyline if they wanted to. And one last thing, am I the only one appalled by the animated universes shotty portrail of Bane and Doomsday? They had such an opportunity to craft such great epic stories out of them, but completely blew it. At the very least, Doomsday could have returned in the "Hereafter" episode as a mindless creature, filled with rage towards Superman. And maybe the shockwave from their final blow could have created a wormhole sending Supes to the future. At least then Doomsday would have gotten some sort of role in Superman's death. Same goes for Bane. They took Batman's strongest enemy, someone as smart, driven, and deadly as anyone he's ever faced......and made him a henchman. Just sad. Not "Batman and Robin" the live-action movie sad, but sad nonetheless. Louis
  9. http://gijoe-comic.tripod.com updates: Hi gang, I've added reviews of Airborne and Heavy Water, pictures of 12" customs I made of Duke, Cobra Soldier, and Cobra Officer, and a new section of Trading Cards made by David Guivant to my site. Please check out GI Joe: The Internet Comics (http://gijoe-comic.tripod.com), now updated weekly with reviews and customs. Thanks! Louis
  10. I know this has been covered before, but I'm pretty sure these two are 12" figures.
  11. I was sitting here watching the 3rd season of Transformers, which I haven't seen in almost 20 years, when I noticed something. Everyone points out the character of "Snake" being Cobra Commander in the year 2005, but I haven't read anyone pointing out a far more obvious GI Joe/Transformers crossover. They introduce a human character in the 3rd season named "Melissa Fairborne" who is an astronaut of sorts. She is voiced by the same actress who did Lady Jaye. So already, my ears had perked up. Then in episode #7, they cemented the relationship to GI Joe I was already thinking about. Her father shows up. And who's voice does he have? FLINT! And as we all know, Fairborne is Flint's last name, so that would make Melissa Fairborne the daughter of Flint and Lady Jaye. It looks like Cobra Commander wasn't the only one to survive into the year 2005! I love that the Sunbow guys made these little crossovers without being totally obvious about it. Pretty cool, huh? Louis
