  1. Dude, calm down.....he's not that cool. You can make this figure yourself by buying the Delta Force figure and putting his mask on the last 12" Beachhead they made. Me, I bought the Delta Force figure and swapped the entire head onto the TRU 12" Kamakura figure. Looks awesome @cool@ Louis
  2. This week in Review vs. Review we give our skewed views on Hi-Tech and the new Cobra Viper figure. After reading our infuriating ramblings , come back here and tell us who you think about these two figures. Check out our reviews here: http://gijoe-comic.tripod.com/reviews/reviews.html Louis GI Joe: The Internet Comic http://gijoe-comic.tripod.com/
  3. I have the Corps! Ambulance that is painted like a civilian ambulance and it's pretty nice. Very durable, well sculpted. But it doesn't fit in with Joe well. Go for the Army ambulance they made (same toy, just painted in army colors). Louis GI Joe: The Internet Comics http://gijoe-comic.tripod.com/
  4. With or without Action man, I think Night Force sucks.
  5. My list was actually the top ten from 1990-1992. So here's my all time list, which you'll see is pretty standard fare: Honorable Mention: Overlord (1990) - He was always in the middle of any story I made up as a kid. 10. Interrorgator (1990) Forgotten Cobra, just adore the guy. 9. Storm Shadow (1984) Kill Snake Eyes! Please!!! 8. Zartan (1984) Just plain cool. 7. Monkeywrench (1986) Best Dreadnok figure with, by far, the most detailed mold. 6. Baroness (1984) They can try and try, but they will never top this mold. Every new Baroness is butt ugly compared to this masterpiece. 5. Cobra Soldier/Officer (1982) Classic. 4. Crimson Guard (1985) Coolest looking Cobra soldier ever? 3. Viper (1986) Backbone of Cobra, love the silver mask. It made perfect sense to me that a meglomaniac like Cobra Commander would make his soldiers look just like him. 2. Destro (1988) A simple, but effective improvement over the 1983 Destro. No more open chest like a bad Bond villian! 1. Cobra Commander (1982) Well, duh. How can he not be on the top of everyone's list? This guy IS Cobra. This figure provides an instant flashback to everything about Joe that we loved from childhood. He's the ultimate bad guy, period.
  6. It's time for the Review vs. Review guys to try our hands at another top ten list, and this time it's the "Top Ten Cobras of All-Time." After reading our mind-boggling picks, come back here and tell us who you think the top 10 Cobras of all time are. Check out our top ten Cobra lists here: http://gijoe-comic.tripod.com/reviews/reviews.html Louis GI Joe: The Internet Comic http://gijoe-comic.tripod.com/
  7. Please don't lock this thread yet. This fool isn't done embarrasing himself yet. This is fun @smilepunch@
  8. Perhaps you could have picked up some Zanex or Prozac while you were in the Mart? I think it'd do you more good than the toys ever will.....
  9. I realized that the poll was a bit flawed after the fact, next time I'll make two polls so you can really make your true feelings heard. Still, you had the option of calling us dorks Louis
  10. Are they still making the eel in yellow translucent plastic? Isn't that much sillier than Swamp Rat? A see-thru human being!? Louis
  11. Gang, This week we reviewed the brand new Kamakura and Swamp Rat figures in the Review vs. Review section of GI Joe: The Internet Comics: http://gijoe-comic.tripod.com/reviews/reviews.html Check it out and then come back here and let us know what you think about these two figures. I know you'll have a lot to say about these reviews Louis GI Joe: The Internet Comics http://gijoe-comic.tripod.com/
  12. Unless you are in shape, don't bother making costumes like this. Seriously, it's embarrassing. The guy in the Storm Shadow costume answers the question of what Storm Shadow would look like if he let himself go and instead of contining his ninja training he instead watches a lot of football and eats a lot of pizza. When I look at the picture I actually feel pity for Storm Shadow, kinda like when you see an aging athlete. Why don't in shape people ever wear costumes? I've seen some decent girls dressed up as the Baroness, but that's it. We get out of shape Destros, Cobra Commanders, Storm Shadows.......ugh. Why not make a Bazooka costume? Or some other character that isn't in great shape? Word of advice: More gym, less costume making. Get in shape, then make the costume. Louis
  13. Thanks, rich. I can't imagine that reading our reviews would sway someone one way or the other, they are just our opinion's after all. But anyway, my gripes about the new toys stand. I know they are made for kids and it will never be as good as the old ones, blah blah. But there is no excuse for some of the stuff they are putting out there, and they can do better IMO. Still, I support this line and I love Joe, so go figure. Louis
  14. What would make you say that? The original Alpine was dressed to climb mountains in a cold climate, why is Joe now restricted to the desert? And even if he's climbing a mountain in the desert, shouldn't he be dressed as a soldier? No soldier would be caught dead dressed like the new Alpine (correction: he'd soon be dead because he'd be such a bright yellow target). And just for the record, we are not hard to please. It's just that the new line has been getting worse and worse. I don't think we all need to be thankful just because Hasbro is releasing a toy. They are putting the toy out to make money, you spend money on it, therefor you should have an idea of what you like or don't like. And if they continue the way they are going, eventually they might lose enough collectors to actually hurt the overall sales of the line. Louis

  16. I'm pretty sure that this figure is being released as the AVAC with the BTR base in the next wave.
  17. Oops, the link is fixed now #US1# And gunslingercbr, I just spoke from my heart of hearts about the Scorpion. What a dark heart I must have, haha. I'm glad you enjoyed it Louis

    Viper Squad #5

I thought I'd share these with you because they are so great. When I was developing the characters for Viper's Squad, I asked Frank if he had any ideas. He showed me some custom figures he'd done. I used some of them as the basis for the characters you see in Viper's Squad: Break-In: http://gijoe-comic.tripod.com/customs/breakin.htm Dust-Off: http://gijoe-comic.tripod.com/customs/dustoff.htm Strikeplate: http://gijoe-comic.tripod.com/customs/strikeplate.htm Louis GI Joe: The Internet Comics http://gijoe-comic.tripod.com/ Check out the newest issue of Viper's Squad!

    Viper Squad #5

Viper Squad #5 When we last left our heroes in issue #4, Break-In was attempting to break into the Cobra detention facility on Cobra Island. He slipped on the rope he was using to to get inside and is about to be discovered by Cobra! How will the Joes handle this? And will Viper find his family? Find out in Viper's Squad #5 at: GI Joe: The Internet Comics http://gijoe-comic.tripod.com/ And after you finish reading it, come back here and let me know what you thought of it! =) Louis
  22. I did a list of these a couple weeks ago. Check it out at http://gijoe-comic.tripod.com/reviews/best2.html Louis Review vs. Review http://gijoe-comic.tripod.com/reviews/reviews.html
  23. Right idea, wrong movie. Robin was originally in Batman Returns, but was cut from the movie at the last second. Robin was going to be a young black boy who was a wiz at repairing electronics. After the Penguin messes up the Batmobile, Robin fixes it. Robin does not appear in costume at all, and this was his only involvement in the film. And the kid's name is "Robin," it's not his secret identity. Right before the movie was released, they decided to remove Robin from the movie because it was not going over well in test audiences. So, they just cut him out and reshot the scene where Batman is attempting to fix the Batmobile himself. Of course, the secene they replaced it with doesn't make much sense as they make it seem like neither Bruce nor Alfred can actually fix the car. Yet the car is somehow fixed a few scenes later. Robin was supposed to fix it. They even had a picture in one of the mags back then of Robin with Batman fixing the Batmobile, explaining why it was removed from the film. Louis
  24. Gang, We've posted two new reviews to our Review vs. Review section. This week we take a look at Barrel Roll (2003-2004) and Cobra Commander (2003-2004). Check it out and let us know what you think! http://gijoe-comic.tripod.com/reviews/reviews.html Louis GI Joe: The Internet Comics http://gijoe-comic.tripod.com/
  25. I totally buy this theory......however....then what the hell happened to Sunstreaker? Obviously, when they made the mold they intended it to be Sunstreaker. So I'd assume by this point they are asking the car manufacturers FIRST what color the toy can be made in. If so, what happened!? Why did Sunstreaker become Dead End? And why is Hasbro so damn lazy that they didn't even bother to switch the head to look more like Dead End? @grumpy@ Louis GI Joe: The Internet comics http://gijoe-comic.tripod.com/
