    Go Detroit

I am glad to see so many of you guys supporting Detroit . I work less than a mile away from the Palace , & I have to go in tomorrow night at 11:00 P.M. It should be a madhouse around there if the Pistons win it
  2. Yeah UB , it is kind of like an Army of Darkness type of thing . Even though it is a sequel , they chose not to acknowledge it in the title for whatever reason . I bought the new Pitch Black DVD today , & the official title is now " The Chronicles of Riddick : Pitch Black " . I didnt realize it when I bought it , but it came with a free movie ticket for the new movie .
  3. I wasnt planning on seeing this when I first heard about it , but now I am looking forward to it , after reading some positive early reviews . I thought Pitch Black was very well done , & this sounds like it might be even better with the bigger budget they had this time . Anyone else gonna check this one out ?
  4. Needful Things The Green Mile Four Past Midnight
  5. Check this out : http://www.aintitcoolnews.com/display.cgi?id=17645
  6. Yeah , I cant wait . I am even gonna pass up "Return of the King" in favor of this DVD .
  7. I cant wait , Sin City was a great comic .
  8. 1. Apocalypse Now 2. Pulp Fiction 3. Taxi Driver 4. Ed Wood 5. A Clockwork Orange These are just all-time great movies , the best effort from each director , IMHO .
  9. A liked the Matrix movies better the first time : when it was called "Dark City" .
  10. I am gonna say no , since it involves one of the guys that did Independence Day & the bastardized , er .. Americanized , Godzilla . I loathed both of those . @firedevil@
  11. Cabin Boy Flash Gordon Roger Cormans Fantastic Four Death Race 2000 Monsturd Edit : I almost forgot Babe & Babe 2 .
  12. Well , I am not positive that there will be a twist in The Village . Twist : leading the audience one way & going in another direction towards the end / a surprise ending . I am just assuming, due to his past films . I am just saying that if there is a twist ending in this one , it seems pretty obvious what it will be .
  13. I liked all of Shymalans movies so far . Unfortunately , the twist at the end of this one looks pretty transparent to me .
  14. I have no idea , I guess this is his way of getting around not doing another Jay & Silent Bob movie . Probably Affleck @grumpy@
  15. My girlfriends mother bought me the pan & scan edition of Road to Perdition for my birthday . Needless to say , it went right back the next day in exchange it for the widescreen version . I WILL NOT buy a fullscreen edition of a movie , for the simple fact that it isnt the entire film . Anyone that thinks that fullscreen is better , just have them compare any Star Wars film in both versions . A quarter of the background characters & scenery are missing in the pan/scan editions .
  16. I just read that Kevin Smiths next two films will be : The Green Hornet & Jay & Indy Ben Strike Back
  17. I just picked up the DVD of the entire series (18 episodes) & I had forgotten how good this show was . It is a shame that it never caught on & was cancelled after the first/only season . Anyone else a fan of this show ?
  18. Gotta go with Bruce Campbell too , but a close second IMHO would be Phil Caracas in "Jesus Christ : Vampire Hunter" .
  19. Not really a superhero , but a comic book movie that I will be looking forward to : Frank Millers Sin City . Robert Rodriguez & Quentin Tarantino are both involved ! Also , I heard that Darren Aronofsky ( director of Pi , & Requiem for a Dream ) is on board with "Watchmen" !
  20. I have never seen "Real Genius" , I will have to check it out . Have you guys seen "The Salton Sea" ? If not , I highly recommend it . IMHO , Kilmers best movie in a while .
  21. Donnie Darko . I agree with "Near Dark" ( just picked it up on DVD ), a great vampire flick .
  22. Check out "the Salton Sea" if you wanna see a great Val Kilmer film .
  23. I still have my Rodan from this series , it was one of my all-time favorite toys as a kid .
