  1. Good luck with him, and any others you make!! Remember to show them here, as I for one would love to see them. The boots are the easiest part to do, just wrap the tape around the leg where you want the boot top to end, and pinch the end of the tape so no spray gets where you don't want it, then spray it white, and you get a really sharp lined undercoat, that'll give you a brilliant colour finish. Same for gloves, or in fact any part. I'd love to see some Buffy, minimates.............hmmmmm.... OOooooo I forgot to mention, I scraped all the white spider from the Venom body first, then used the white fluffy buffing wheel on my dremel, you could use a duster, to buff the plastic shiney again, as the scraping leaves it looking dull, and very matt.
  2. Thanks folks!! RJBrian, I didn't paint the black at all, that's just the plain black from the venom parts. I taped the chest stripes shape onto the chest using masking tape, then hand painted it, the star is drawn on with an artist pen. The best thing to do, is do a white undercoat where you want the red as it gives a sharper colour.
  3. Me again, with another mini (mates) *chuckle* update. As the title says it's USAgent, Im surprised no-one else has done this already......., maybe they have, but just haven't shown it. Anyway, here he is: Please nip over to my site for the full recipe and more pics. Thanks Bruenor (James)
  4. Yup I've done another non animated custom, *Gasp!!* LOL!! This time it's Union Jack, please follow the link then pop back and let me know what you think? Also there's a link to a load of customs on Ebay, mostly animated Batamn related, plus this Union Jack. Thanks Bruenor (James)
  5. Hi guys, another small update, but I do have more figures on the go, it's just finding time to finish them. This time it's a Symbiote Spidey Shockini, made from the sample Shockini, I recieved in the post, from ######. To be honest they are a joy to work with, and take paint beautifully, with no paint rub around the joints that I could see. Please follow the link to my site for a full write up, and more pics. Thanks Bruenor (James)
  6. Nice work Dan, you've outdone yourself with the classic X-team, and Havok is just perfect!!!
  7. Thanks Dan, Not really a custom, per 'se, just a touch up, but an adddition. Thanks anyway James
  8. Got the idea from someone on the AA boards, who'd scraped all the black paint off the ulitmate Wolvie's, I just sprayed mine, and painted the ears back on.
  9. Sorry I haven't been about for a while, but I had some family problems, but now they are pretty much sorted, I'm back with a couple of updates for you to view, and to let me know what you think. They were part of a custom con line I had planned, but what with the problems over the last couple of months, I won't get the line done in time, so here they are: Mr Miracle, & Metron. Please follow the link to see them. Thanks Bruenor (James)
  10. Testor's Dulcote is the stuff you should be looking for, recommended by Iron Cow & Casimir , two of the top customizers around. I myself use Citidal Paints from Games Workshop, they are just slightly short of perfect!
  11. or you could use Magicsculp which is far superior to Milliput, it has a longer working time, and smooths out so fine it's looks like it was never added once painted. I used to swear by Milliput until Airmax put me onto Magicsculp. You can order it online, but it's in a lot of shops too. http://www.magicsculp.com/
  12. Thanks. Yeah I love that mini glider, my minimates Goblin just didn't seem complete without it.
  13. This is my take on a Green Goblin, nothing special. There is some more pics at my site along with a recipe. Thanks Bruenor (James)
  14. I'm just chaotically orderly, everything has it's place, it's just sometimes all in the same plie. Seroiusly, I tidied up a bit for those pics. Plus a tidy workplace, means tidy work, that's what my woodwork teacher told me.
  15. Nope, just geographically well placed for paint, Champ!!! ;0)
