  1. I had a problem with the right leg of my Apocalypse. The part that the hip connector connects to is oval shaped, not round, and I can't get the leg to plug all the way on...and believe me, I tried!

I gotta get a new wolvie now, just for the leg. @grumpy@

Just exchange the one you bought. No need to buy another one just for the leg.

  2. oh and what ever happened to the other villian wave of SMC that was suposed to come out?? the one with demogoblin, spot and chameleon???

That series was fake. Someone just photoshopped the proto images of the old figs. Jesse said it was fake some where on fwoosh

Actually, I don't think he said it was fake. He said they weren't happening. I take that more as cancelled. The images found of them were early and done the same way as the early X-men solicits.

  3. I'm thinking it will be a MOVIE spider-man figure... because rumor has it the 3rd spider-man movie will have the BLACK SYMBIOTE SPIDER-MAN...

    eh?

Doubtful. Jesse wouldn't tell people that the comic figures suck and to wait a couple months if it wasn't comic-based. And Spider-man movie figures won't be coming out until Hasbro takes over in 07, it was one of the big parts of the deal.

  4. Well, the old statement he'd made was we'd wonder "How'd they do that?" THat was in reference to the proposed Quinjet in ML15. But costs destroyed that. It would have been a neat packin, but I'm super happy for MODOK too.

Though I must say them being able to make 12" non-roto MLs at 14.99 a piece is a bit of a surprise for me.

  5. 2 packs Series 1:

    Cap vs. Red Skull

    Hulk vs. Leader

    DD vs. Kingpin

    Series 2:

    Iron Man vs. Mandarin

    FA Punisher vs. Jigsaw

    FA Wolverine vs. FA Sabretooth

    Icons Series 1:

    Cap

    Iron man

    Wolverine

    Series 2:

    Hulk

    Spider-man

    Venom

    SEries 3:

    Thing

    Beast

    Lizard

Cases will probably be 2 each of the 2packs and 1 each of the Icons. Prices should be around $15 for each.

As far as the WM wave, we won't know for sure until something shows up for sale. All we've got right now is the "plan" for the cases.

  6. Jesse posted the Antman = Lang on RTM 4-5 days back I believe. The 12th figure in the WM assortment is supposedly another 2nd AOA Sabertooth. Only variants are Burnt head Weapon X and Bearded Sentry.

  7. Jesse has stated that the WM exclusive Antman is indeed Scott Lang, not Pym. And no variant is being made. The Antman on Hawkeye's arrow is Lang too. So Pym only has 4 made. 2 of which are only accessories.

  8.

I really hate DCDirect now too. Why can't they ever put this kind of articulation on their figures? I hope Mattel can do the whole JLA in 2007.

It's because they CHOOSE NOT TO Not that they CAN'T. there are many, many collectors out there who simply hate excess articulation. It's just a choice they went with and in my oppinion a good one. It provides for higher quality sculpts and plastics, and keeps the line consistant with what was already done.

Well, the articulated Superman figure didn't seem to mess up the line very much style-wise. The articulation was incorporated into the sculpt pretty well IMO. He's also sold like gangbusters and been re-released like 4 times already. While I don't expect DCD to go an ML-route to articulation, making some figures in the same way as the Superman would be a good move as well. At the very least, do the heavy hitters this way. Then those collectors who like sculpt AND articulation for poses can be satisfied as well.

  9. Well, the 4H have already sculpted some MLs. But with the move to Hasbro, the 4H won't be able to do any more MLs because of their deal with Mattel on the DC Superheroes.

It never stopped the 4hm to sculpt ML figures before when they were working for Mattel when doin the previous batman and the animated "The Batman" line

What I've heard from people in the know is its a different matter from Toy Biz to Hasbro. Mattel has the 4H on contract and don't want them doing jobs for their biggest competitor.

  10. See, I still don't get this. We couldn't get the henchmen because of cost, so instead well be getting a BAF. Yet in the wave following 13 well be getting the X-babies and a BAF. Tell me that won't up cost. I figured we'd get a henchman that was a long the lines of the Banner that came with the Hulk in thr hulk Classics line. Five to seven ( I believe Banner had 8 or 10) points of articulation was all that was really needed.

Well, for one thing the X-babies aren't coming anymore because of cost. And the Banner figure in the Hulk Classics line was a retooled Deacon Frost figure from the Blade Movie line from 98. All it needed was a new head and hands.

  11. just look at what toy companies do when they relaunch a line...look at Macfarlane and their simpson's line, Batman belonged to Kenner one time, and then toybiz, and now Mattel. Those no pattern there. the matrix toy line, the terminator....when the liscense is handed over to someone else, it isnt continued, it is relaunched so that the company who has it now can cash in on the popular versions of that character. So, I believe that Marvel Legends may continue, but there will be something significantly different

But you're citing companies that were looking exclusively for action figure lines. The Hasbro deal is not just about action figures, its so much more for Hasbro.

  12. This deal with Hasbro wasn't only for ML. So Hasbro didn't buy the license with a chief thought of starting a new action figure line. This covers board games, puzzles, Potato heads, Tiger Electronic games, etc. They're looking at a big picture for the license. A line like ML that is already a proven commodity isn't the kind of thing you just shelve because you get the itch to.

And speaking of board games, imagine a Marvel Trivial Pursuit game.

  13. is it worth anything though?

No, that particular figure will look the same when it hits mass retail, so you will be paying for the wrong comic and front sticker. Complete waste of money.

One of the people who bought a Thor in KS and opened it said they were made with really cheap rubbery plastic, far worse than typical MLs.

  14. WILL there ever be? Well obviously no because ML is done after this year (well most likley anyway).

SHOULD there have been? I think so yes. Like Jay mentioned the Face Offs is where he should havbe been. With Strucor. I still like the unmasked cap so in a perfect world the one pac wuld have regular cap with interchangeable unmasked head and the BS pack would be US Agent.

If a company like SOTA was doing this line there would be no variant umaked heads, the figures would all just come with unmaked heads. It would be awesome. Too bad Toy Biz was always to cheap to do this. Oh well.

Well, the only US Agent figure you could make out of that 2pk is the New Invaders one which to me would be useless. You can't make the black suited one due to the sculpted detail.

And if a company like SOTA was doing this line, we'd get about 10 figures a year. @loll@

  15. Spider-woman (w/ variant) should be coming out in ML 15 if it does come out...

Yes, but will the variant be Julia Carpenter? It's a lot less work for them to just remove the hair and give Jessica Drew her '1st Appearance' look.

If they can do a simple repaint for MS, they can do it for ML.
