  1. Well, actually Doc Ock and Green Goblin are pantographed down from their ML counterparts.
  2. Yeah, didn't this all come out like 3 weeks ago?
  3. Guang has been bridging the gap between toy developers like SOTA Toys and its factories for the past year

    ML 15

Personally, if I can't find a figure for retail cost, I'd rather it didn't exist. I won't feed the scalpers and it drives me nuts knowing I'm missing characters that have been made. FFC2 is a good example. I honestly wish TB had never made Kang or Dragon Man. If ML15 gets lousy distribution and I can't find the variants, I'll wish they didn't exist either. Well, pretend they don't exist then. I'd rather the figure get made, even if it was a little harder to get. I just traded someone for a Dragon Man, and I'm not gonna give up on getting a Kang either.

    ML 15

no, what they said was that they wouldnt have chase figures that were whole other characters, i.e. red skull and goliath. the chases would only be variants or repaints of characters in the regular wave, i.e. red Iron fist, blue Angel and Cyclops, Phasing Vision, etc... which they totally fudged on now because they're putting out Destroyer, Genis-vell, and Julie Carpenter (black spider-woman). Not new. They did it with Black Widow in ML8. I look at it this way. Would you rather NOT have a Destroyer, Genis, Spider-woman II figure in your collection?

  7. Then they shouldn't interfere with ML being restocked on the pegs.
  8. Well, they've redesigned the packaging, dropped the comics and raised the price. I don't see them being able to just keep putting out ML14 and 15 as is. And why do that when they can just send retailers more of their own ML waves.
  9. Interesting stuff, but I think it might conflict with things we were previously told. Wasn't the original news that the license was supposed to go until 2008 or something? No, their deal always was through 2006. It was a 5 year span, just like the new deal with Hasbro.
  10. I found an article about the head of TBWW. It goes into alot of details about his company. A couple details that I found interesting. He says that he declined renewing the Marvel license past 2006 because of Marvel's demand for higher royalties. Also, his company is the parent company of Grand Toys, the Canadian distributor. It won't allow direct linking without registering for the site. But if you Google "Jeff Hsieh", it's the first result and you can view it.

    The cost of

I worked at WM when MLs were $6.84. At that time, WMs cost for each figure was $5.40.
  12. I think he'd have his ass handed to him by a Jedi within a few minutes of showing up. Why Hobgoblin of all people to go into the SW universe?
  13. Whether you like him or not, Iron Man sells. He surpasses Wolverine as the most consistently best selling ML character. He doesn't pegwarm.
  14. Yes there was a change at SDCC. I imagine the reason for the switch to the Gamma body is due to the use of War Hulk for the upcoming Hasbro Planet Hulk figure.
  15. Well, I thought of 2 more "themes" that I could live with in ML. Robots Machine Man Classic Ultron Super Adaptoid Box Albert(Robot Wolverine - fills the "name" slot) Bastion BAF Nimrod or Awesome Android Aliens Silver Surfer(bigger name after FF2 comes out) Firelord(Human Torch recognition) Ronan the Accuser Gladiator Adam Warlock/Magus variant Lilandra BAF Xenmu the Titan
  16. I prefer the random makeup of waves. It covers alot of bases in the MU and allows for some oddballs to pop up every once in awhile. The only themed wave I support is the Villains from ML13. They should do a villains wave once a year.
  17. TRUs in Canada are able to carry the Giantman wave because the WM exclusivity is only in the US. It's deliberate, not an error. I'd be less speculative of all this if it was more than a figure or two here and there. If the entire wave of Gen X or 2099 figures showed up, it would make more sense. And figures lost in warehouses or under shelves generally come out looking pretty rough. Seems like these flukes are in decent condition.
  18. That doesn't prove anything either. Still doesn't account for the source of the figures. And to reiterate again, WM did not carry X-men 2099 or Generation X figures, therefore they would not be lost in a warehouse. And thanks for pointing to a thread I had already posted in. @loll@
  19. That might be feasible if Wal-mart had carried Generation X and X-men 2099. I collected the 5 inch lines and I never saw either of those lines outside of TRU, KB, and Big Lots. Heck some of the stores this is happening at probably weren't even built when these lines were out.
  20. That's the point that almost guarantees its scammers. Walmart doesn't keep anything that long and Toy Biz has no warehouses from which to pull old figures. You all are trying to make this more than it is.
  21. I don't think WM even carried Xmen 2099 or Generation X. Their warehouses don't work that way. They don't keep anything that long. I'm telling you, its scammers.
  22. Well, there's a Tyson figure in the new Rocky line. And all the various boxing figures are ripe for customizing a Punch Out line.
