Hot off the press! Just came across these amazing pieces: http://www.actionfigurecustoms.com/2009/02...stom-body-shop/

I ask myself the same question...that is why I started the custom site...to give props to the talented out there who do what the toy companies can't. LK makes great customs...I did a couple write ups of his Masterpiece Superion...twice because once he listing it for a high starting price and nobody bid on it then he put it a low starting bid and up it went. Here is the link to the Superion Article: http://www.actionfigurecustoms.com/2008/11...s-15-figure-lk/ He also did a Bruticus a few weeks later: http://www.actionfigurecustoms.com/2008/12...m-15-figure-lk/ Combiners are cool!

budget Exactly. How many could they sell at $2500 a pop lol. Not sure but the final ending bid was $4800 !!! Makes me happy when I see great work get recognized like this. He added 5 bonus items to this and it not surprising that this ended so high. Check out the things he added here!

Good call! I will email him and see if he took any! -
This is the 3rd in the series of Ultra Class figures: http://www.actionfigurecustoms.com/2008/12...ncline-designs/ This guy knows how to make them right!

Frenzy.Rumble got a hold of the upcoming Soundwave Revenge of the Fallen figure and worked his magic: http://www.actionfigurecustoms.com/2008/12...e-frenzyrumble/ He used the same color palate but the colors he used bring out the detail in the figure.

A review of the customs? He's not pointing out that the toy exists, he's pointing out the custom job. Thank you Magic 8 Ball for pointing that out I am just shedding light on a sweet custom that Hasbro should be paying attention to.

I do agree that the neck design is a bit odd for the head style on the right. It looks like it is being held up by a toothpick. I too have seen better ones but he did a fanstastic job and I would rank this one up there with the best....the figure has personality.

Hot off the presses...I am not sure when TF Universe Hound and Ravage are hitting the stores but it looks like somoene got a hold of them and uleashed thier G1 potential: http://www.actionfigurecustoms.com/2008/11...s-frenzyrumble/ Boy I miss the G1 days!

Wow! Nicely done! The scale is amazing!

I think weathering takes the custom to another level and I agree it becomes more art than something you play with. With dioramas like this, it makes sense to weather this one. I am an overall fan of the technique and I think it sets the customs apart than doing a straight repaint.

I just came accross one of the best custom Devastators I have seen and I had to write about it: http://www.actionfigurecustoms.com/2008/11...re-thyvipera84/ Also, I am not sure if everyone knows about eBay and Microsoft's Cash back deal but you can save up to 30% off of anything Buy it Now. I know times are tough for lots pf people so I thought I would pass it along so people can take advantage of it. You can read about that here: http://www.actionfigurecustoms.com/2008/11...n-figures-ebay/

On the heels of his 15" Custom Optimus Prime, Encline Designs has made a 13" Movie Bonecrusher...both of these pieces are awesome!
-
My take is that the figure is caught mid transformation...I would call it frozen in time (or stuck lol). Looking at the other photos, it does transform and the Unicron hand can hold it as a gun.

BoskoesToys has created one of the most unique customs I have come accross: http://www.actionfigurecustoms.com/blogs/2...boskoestoys.php This figure, in both concept and execution, is absolutely awesome!

Nice review! Great pictures. I picked one up a week ago but have not opened yet. I do agree that the jet mode looks pretty bad. The robot mode looks nice though but one of the faces looks like a Jack-o-lantern
