Transformers 3 Will Likely Start Filming In May
n8dawgaic replied to The Wire's topic in Action Figures
While the sequel didn't blow me away, I am still anxious for the third... -
Nano-Viper is still available at the 10.99 Walgreens price tag around here, but no where else.

Ah, I see. Still no site of them here in New England...

Please, please don't be true...

John Malkovich In As The Vulture For Spider-Man 4?!?
n8dawgaic replied to The Wire's topic in Action Figures
I think The Vulture may be a tad hard to pull off on the big screen as we know the character today, but what a great choice of actor! -
I have seen him 4-5 times out there, but not very often or in large amounts.

I had decided not to buy MU (at least beyond a few favorites) and yet over Christmas/New Years vacation I ended up buying just about everything released so far. Whoops!
-
What area of the country did you find these in?
-
I passed because I was in a bad mood the day I saw them (yes, this has an impact on my collecting at times!) and I have been kicking myself ever since!

This has been one of my favorite titles over the last year. I think the run with Bucky has been great and I am hoping he remains an important character in the title or gets his own series. If he does lose the Cap gig, I hope he gets a new outfit that isn't Bucky or Winter Soldier.

I was going to post something similar to this, I actually pictured this as being the next generation of Joes as I played the campaign mode. As far as multiplayer goes, it is too insane for me to picture anything

I am just thrilled this is another big middle finger to all the drama queens who hate the movie so much...

With the exception of stores who went berzerk on Wave 1, I have to tell ya I do not see these toys being stagnant. In this particular area I am seeing Star Wars and GI Joe doing pretty well, with the TF and Marvel lines kind of lingering. On a side note, I was happy to finally find Dr. Lewis, Charbroil, Adder, etc. this past weekend. I have yet to see Arctic Snake Eyes at retail, though!

I'm in for at least a few of those!

I absolutely loved this movie! To all the plot gripes pointed out in this thread- Well, many of you are right. However like others have said I wasn't expecting Casablanca here I was expecting the absurd fun from the cartoon/comic I have loved all these years. As recently as the second trailer that brought out the Sigma 6 suits, I had huge doubts about the movie. Once all the TV ads started popping up featuring other elements my hopes were raised and I was not let down. Honestly, Duke's thugonomics accent was the biggest distraction for me, and even that is a small gripe. I suppose that is the norm for "hip" these days though. Bring on a sequel, please.

Either at midnight tonight or tomorrow. I am bummed about how few places are doing a midnight show

I am pleasantly surprised how well these are selling around here, too

Anyone Else Get theirGI Joe Complete Collector's Set DVDs?
n8dawgaic replied to StrykerX2K's topic in G.I. Joe
For the folks who already have it, are the DiC cartoons included? -
I think they are warming the pegs more than the other lines simply because GI Joe has a stronger ratio of adult to child collectors at this point. Yes, Star Wars has a lot more fans as well, but it is recent enough to still have a lot of kids interested. I think if a new cartoon, or even re-runs of the classic were around, we would see these sell better...

I'm glad you made this post, because I was just about to. I just accepted a new position yesterday, so I am going from college-intern to summer-intern and now an actual Analyst position as well. I think I will start with a few small things... maybe a Vader 4" scale by my monitor... and see what kind of reaction it all gets. In my current cubicle here, I have a lot of sports stuff... but that is much more generally accepted everywhere than Fantasy/Sci-Fi/Toys. Despite my position getting better, I feel like the area of the building I am moving to is actually MORE casual than where I am now... I'll post back here in a couple weeks to see if I get any flack....

Minus a few exceptions, the scale in Star Wars post-POTF2 has been pretty good. Like many others have said, try being a collector of wrestling toys... now that brings some absurd scale problems.
