  1. Nope, Ben's replacement was there at the AMAs tonight. They didn't sound all that great, but it can't be blamed on "the new guy" really - the entire band sounded off. Could be they're tired from wrapping the overseas portion of their tour. Then again it could also be that their heart ain't in it with all the drama. Cheers.
  2. Personally, I don't idolize comic book heroes at all - they're simply characters that I'm reading about, like any others. I enjoy a good crime or noir story too, but it doesn't mean that I idolize the criminal or otherwise dark character that takes center-stage in most of those. Comic book heroes are no different to me - just another subject of entertainment. Cheers.
  3. Oh, and Scott Morse is apparently also doing a Batman book... http://newsarama.com/forums/showthread.php...=&threadid=6383 Dig it. Cheers.
  4. The best DC books right now? Superman: Birthright by Waid and Yu is probably the best thing coming out of DC, quality-wise. If it got me interested in Superman for the first time since childhood, then it must be doing something right. Or Formerly Known as the Justice League, which is done by Giffen, Dematteis, and Maguire - the original creative team that made the Justice League books huge in the late 80's. This one's pure nostalgia. My personal favorite "DC" book right now, though, is Wildcats 3.0 from the Wildstorm imprint. It's the best thing I'm reading, period. Cheers.
  5. I can see it happenning Expect it to happen during or after Jim Lee's Superman run with Brian Azzarello. It starts this Spring, for those who might not have heard yet. As for the Hush: Batman figure... quite spiffy indeed. I'll be getting one. Cheers.
  6. GI Joe... Favorite character: Beach Head Favorite sub-group: Tiger Force Cobra... Favorite character: Firefly Favorite sub-group: The Crimson Guard Cheers.
  7. They're lesser quality, sure, but some of the figures that Funskool puts out are cool none the less. They've done most of the original Dreadnoks with color schemes close to their American counter-parts, and their Night Vipers and Crimson Guard Immortals made for decent army building opportunities. Funskool is good stuff if you take it for what it is. Cheers.
  8. Does Spawn even come out "every month" anymore? Last I heard, Todd & Co had books that were over a year behind. Not sure if the core title is one of those or not. Not sure that I even care, either - Spawn's pretty much run its course as as I'm concerned. Todd's the one keeping Neil Gaiman from both reprinting old material and producing new material for MiracleMan too (legal battles that are still ongoing), so I can't say I'd be much of a fan of Todd's right now even if his camp WAS producing work on a more timely schedule. He's spent too much time messing with other people's work for me to give much consideration to any work of his. Anywho, I'm done now, lol. Cheers.
  9. A bit of indie comic goodness for the lot of you... http://www.newsarama.com/forums/showthread...=&threadid=6515 Oh man... I simply MUST get myself one of those hardcovers. Cheers.
  10. Morrison did do the 2001 annual. It features art by Yu (currently doing art for Superman: Birthright) and Xorn's first appearance. I only have it collected in the E is for Extinction TPB. I do, however, have 116, 117, and 118 from that list you gave me. I also have 119, 120, 122, 123, 134, 135, 136, 137, 138, 139, 140, and a few copies of 114 (Morrison's first issue) as well should you or anyone else be interested in any of those issues. Cheers.
  11. I could probably help you out with New X-Men. I started buying the issues when Morrison took over the book's writing chores, but soon switched to picking it up strictly in TPB format. So I have quite a few issues from his run that I no longer need. I was planning on putting them up on eBay with some other stuff at some point. Cheers.
  12. How do you think I feel? I bought tickets to their December 14th Mississauga show. @grumpy@ Now those guitar riffs I love so much are going to be performed by... some OTHER guy. Someone will feel my wrath for this... oh yes. Cheers.
  13. I actually just bought two tickets to Evanescence for December 14th. It should be fun. I have absolutely no idea who I'm taking yet, though. Cheers.
