  1. Better plastic quality. I'd wouldn't mind if the figures were higher in price if they got a significantly better plastic.
  2. Well, if we're referring to customs, I've been doing some simple work: http://lalam24.deviantart.com/gallery/ Nothing sonic related, though. Just Boba Fett. This is what the Clone Wars version used to look like (basic mandalorian warrior): http://www.figures.c...ian-warrior.jpg And this is what I ultimately made it into: Then, the second boba's just a revise of the Legacy Collection's version, for extra articulation. This is what it used to look like: http://www.jedi-busi...ils.aspx?ID=531 And this is what it currently looks like: I swapped the hip section out for the new Luke's, giving him ball hinged hips, a long with a full, revamped paint job. I know they're both a tad messy, but I didn't work too long on either of them. Regardless, at least it isn't black paint randomly slapped onto the snout and hands. On topic: Being that I have a 20% coupon for TRU items, I went out to see what I could get. The only real sonic item I was interested in was the 10 inch figure, but, out of the three they had, each was TERRIBLY packed. One had the quils all bent due to the position of the head, and the other two had the waist stretched open completely. What the hell, Jazwares? What's up with this horrible quality control?
  3. http://cgi.ebay.com/Custom-Dark-Super-Sonic-Silver-And-Shadow-Figure-Lot-/220705087191?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item33630c5ed7 I swear, this has to be a god dman joke. But, judging by the attitude of the guy who made this, I completely doubt it.
  4. It's apart of the second half of Tamashii Fest '10. http://www.toy-world.com.hk/forum/viewthread.php?tid=27810&extra=page%3D1#%23%23
  5. COMPLETELY off topic, but I know several of you are Megaman fans, and this is one of the biggest pieces of news we have yet to see: SHF/D-Arts X:
  6. I still don't have any of the Jazwares super posers releases D: If I get tails, I want knuckles. If I get knuckles, I have to get sonic. This is terrible, since I have no money.
  7. I still think Gamma would be a lot more of a proper addition to the set, as opposed to Omega.
  8. Welp, apparently this really isn't that much of a statue: Love the ankle + wrist joints.
  9. Oh wow, that looks absolutely terrifying.
  10. The only real issue I see with the 10" Sonic is his right hand. I thought we'd established that sonic figures having hand poses doesn't really work when they're action figures, unless they have a full set of interchangeable hands.
  11. Another listing for the 10" Sonic figure: http://cgi.ebay.com/XBOX-360-NINTENDO-WII-SONIC-HEDGEHOG-10-INCH-FIGURE-/330474465920?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4cf1d02a80
  12. Just so we have this clear, the larger the scale, the harder it is to sculpt.
  13. I don't know, I think the 10" sonic looks fantastic. Just wish they would've added an upper leg and bicep swivel.
  14. I love drawing hands, and since I've been drawing them for years, it comes with ease at this point.
  15. Looks like some of your joints are still kind of pried open, bro. I'd suggest simply using a hair dryer to fix that. Also... PLEASE resize your images!
  16. Thanks. I think it's nice, but I'm still reluctant to finish it due to how low quality it'll ultimately be in terms of durability. I don't think I was out to accomplish anything by it, though. Was simply for fun. Not a big fan of getting praise for fanart. I think I like the sketch of this a lot more, too:
  17. Jazwares responded to my wall post with: "Hi Guys, Thanks for bringing this to our attention, we are aware of the problem and are working on having it taken care of!!" This is nice. Since they actually listen to fans, it may actually get fixed soon. (If you don't remember the post, it was about the current quality control issue with the sonic figures)
  18. To anyone who buys the super pack, and is willing to edit it: Since Jazwares made new pegs to hold in the feet, they now have a rounded edge. If you cut into the shoe a bit, it'll allow for the joint to work like a limited, but affective, balljoint. This makes it easier for the figure to stand, and allows for more dynamic poses. On a side note, drew this during Biology when I was taking notes: It's not finished, I know, but I don't think I'll finish it since it's on a sheet of loose leaf.
  19. Well, I'll pick up the pack if I see it. The issue is that, I've been buying so many american toys that I've lost track of the eastern releases. Specifically Robot Damashii GM Sniper 2 and Strike Freedom. And, coming out later this month, the Kotobukiya Megaman kit, a long with the S.H.Figuarts Faiz. I hate the limitations of my god damn budget.
  20. What I posted on the Jazwares Facebook page, since they seem to read most things popping in on it: "Since no one seems to be mentioning this directly, the current quality control of the Sonic figures is absolutely horrible. I bought the Super Sonic pack, and almost all of the joints were partially disassembled within the package. This was in every single set I had seen, as well. Not only that basic issue, but ever...y single figure there had 2 left arms on Sonic, a long with swapped out leg pieces (Yes, I am astute enough to realise that the leg sculpt is different on each side). Along with that, from the 2 sets I bought, 1 contained 2 left legs for sonic, and the other had 2 right. I obviously switched them out, but it's still very annoying that I had to deal with this outrageous issue. I'm not the only one, either. Almost everyone who's boughten the set on the TNI forum has stated most of these issues. Pick it up, Jazwares, you're not going to get better feedback from gradually becoming worse."
  21. I completely agree. Specifically when I'm buying sets that have had reports of bad quality control, or western toys in general. I don't mind ordering lines like Robot Damashi/S.H.Figuarts/Figma/Revoltech/eastern toys in general, because their quality control is usually good, and it's almost never dependent on the figure's appearance.
  22. So, I bought two Super sets, planning on keeping one closed. I opened one, and since I've taken them apart so many times, I realised that it had 2 right legs. I looked at the other set, and it had two left legs. So, I simply swapped them out, and spent hours figuring out which pieces would be the best in terms of quality control and tightness. Every single set, however, had two left arms. It's like this with several of the comic packs, aswell. Regardless, due to the large amount of work I put into fixing him, I'm currently content with the figure. Of course I wish they rerelease it without the figure almost being disassembled in the package, but, at this point, I can wait. Good aspects: -Since they painted Sonic's mouth piece, it now fits better (color wise) with sonic's chest area. -Sonic's boots have a very nice shiney red tone to them, unlike the original figures, but, since the pegs are different on the feet now, it doesn't work well with the original sonic. -Although loose and hard to deal with, the plastic is damn durable. -All three figures have completely different color tones, showing that jazwares actually looked into the proper color for each one. -Shadow's mouth is no longer painted white. Regardless of ALL of the good aspects, it angers me to see that these figures, world wide, had the terrible quality control. Pick it the #$## up, Jazwares.
  23. Found the super pack. Bought 2 out of the 4. The paintjob applications weren't too bad, but the packaging was still horrid. All of the joints on every single one looked ripped to #$##. What the hell jazwares?
  24. Sighting in IL! Looks like I'm hunting this weekend: http://cgi.ebay.com/Super-Sonic-Hedgehog-Silver-Shadow-3-Mini-Figure-/380267620946?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5889b76a52
  25. He's selling the thing on eBay. I've tried dealing with him before, but he reacts in the same fashion. "YOU CAN'T BACK YOURSELF UP LOL YOU SUCK" etc. When, the funny part is, I've been offered so much god damn money for my UNFINISHED sculpts that I could consider it to be a freelancing career. I don't point this out because it doesn't take a good artist to know good art, it's just the fact that his excuse obviously doesn't apply in this situation.
