  1. According to a reply on their Facebook page, they're making a classic super sonic. That's something to look forward to, but I'm still relatively distraught by the fact that the smaller classic figures lack knee joints.
  2. So, apparently, the newest release of the 3 inch basic Sonic (including super sonic) has partially resculpted legs. They look nicer and, from what I've seen, have absolutely no quality control issues what so ever.
  3. How about "Sonic fans" Seriously, I don't think we need a silly name -- especially since no one here is going to agree to one directly.
  4. Hm, just skimmed through the photos again. 1998 sonic, so Adventure-styled sonic. That's something I'm really looking forward to. Now we just need a sonic CD style.
  5. Again, that's the large one. The smaller one is on display next to the smaller boxes. (Notice: the size of the kart next to the photo you posted) See: http://toyfair2011.f...e=sonic&cat=545 and http://toyfair2011.f...e=sonic&cat=545
  6. Viewed those today during class. It sucks that the smaller classic sonic doesn't have knee joints, but at least the larger one does.
  7. Just a heads up, we currently only have news from the Jazwares booth; no images. However, that news is: 4 inch Street Fighter, Megaman, and Mortal Kombat. I may pick up some of the megaman figures, but, since both Kotobukiya and tamashii have the licensing currently, I see absolutely no point.
  8. God damn it, Clover, your new sig' is absolutely hilarious. Also, I can't wait for classic sonic. And, hopefully, with this new line, they remake the 5 inch modern sonic to resemble the appearance used for their cut-out display.
  9. Where'd you get those images? Is there anymore news on the Skyward Sword gacha figures? I've known about them, but have yet to see images. If they're actually articulated, that'd be astounding.
  10. The Ultimate Figure Series and the Ultimate Collection are the same size, actually. The Ultimate Collection is a LOT better, though. Regardless, the difinitive DB action figures are the S.H.Figuarts: http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN959914 http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN961922 http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN959912 That's DB general, though. The best frieza I'm aware of is the ultimate collection. I'd sell mine to you if I didn't care for it, but I love the thing :x This is the ONLY frieza ultimate figure I can assume isn't a bootleg, and is instock: http://cgi.ebay.com/DRAGONBALL-Ultimate-Figure-11-Freeza-ANIME-MANGA-ACTION-/270503311898?pt=UK_Collectables_AnimationCharacters_Anime_SM&hash=item3efb40fa1a
  11. Silver is a tad too small, we all know this, but his proportions ultimately differ from those of everyone else. Aside from that, adjusting such a small fix in scale by resculpting the figure completely is pointless, and an enormous waste of money.
  12. Did some revamping to that Young Link figure: Full gallery: http://lalam24.deviantart.com/gallery/
  13. You should've followed some of the guidelines people had thrown on here a while back before snapping the thing off. Also, to everyone on this forum, PLEASE RESIZE YOUR IMAGES.
  14. Completely finished this thing... I don't know why I keep updating you guys with posts, though: Full gallery: http://lalam24.deviantart.com/gallery/
  15. I saw Jet and Sonic at TRU the other day. Passed them up.. I couldn't care less for Jet as a character, and Sonic looked derpy as all hell. On a side note, I finished Link's body: The paint's a tad off, and the joints are showing too much, but I like it so far.
  16. The only way to fix the height issue is by resculpting the figure entirely. Changing the size of the limbs would make it look very unproportional.
  17. This is how the snout piece looked on mine: http://cgi.ebay.com/SONIC-HEDGEHOG-Comic-Book-Pack-VECTOR-ESPIO-Figure-/270676968586?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f059ac48a
  18. I'm usually fixing up the joints by hairdrying them and replacing the peg completely, making sure it fits in properly and anything similar. But, I assume you can glue the edges, being that the swivel SHOULD be the center of the peg moving along with the single piece connected to it. I have yet to try this, but I'm probably going to soon. Oddly enough, however, that isn't the case for Vector. If anything, I'll be gluing the inside to tighten up the peg. On a side note, I've been working on my custom of Link: The head's half finished, but from that angle it looks pretty much done.
  19. The Espio had all around relatively tight joints, a long with no bent joints. However, do note that I chose this figure from a batch, of about 15, that had been pegwarming at my TRU. Lastly, his paint job is a bit... off. The upper tip of the mouth piece, touching the eyes, is pink, and his eyes are partially faded. These aren't that big of issues, though; I'd take joint quality over paint apps any day. I also should've mentioned that Vector's knees are very, very loose. But that's a very much simple fix for me. If anything, look for the sets without the mouth piece painted all of the way (that is, if you want better joint quality).
  20. So, I picked up the Espio/Vector two pack, and, I have to say... for figures that are supposed to have terrible quality, mine are @##@@ fantastic. Honestly, the Espio has some of the best quality I've seen in my entire 3 inch collection (note that I have every figure in the line aside form Amy).
  21. I know, but you also implied that DBZ figures, in general, aren't very nice. When, the S.H.Figuarts line is one of the highest rated toy lines available.
  22. No, S.H.Figuarts. One of the best figure lines that current exists (eastern toys > western toys).
  23. Maybe you should do a little more research: http://taste.image.coocan.jp/hobby091113.htm http://taste.image.coocan.jp/hobby100107.htm http://taste.image.coocan.jp/hobby100714.htm All of these were released within the past year, with SS3 Goku and Vegeta on the way (no other figures confirmed yet). Just a heads up, Figuarts is the most poseable 6-7 inch figure line to date.
  24. I went to a seperate TRU to see if they had a better 12" sonic this morning. I found the same thing, either paint issues, pieces being pried open by the packaging, or overall bad joint assembly. This has gone WAY too far; we requested that they fix the issues months ago, and the response has, in no format, been displayed within the products they're releasing.
