  1. Just a headsup if it hasn't already been mentioned -- the eyes on the modern Sonic 5" resculpt are no longer at a strange angle. This is from what I've seen at Target, no other stores. Also, recent image of nendo sonic:
  2. Speaking of molds (or things that are going to be casted), been working on the arwing. This is the upper blue booster piece: Made from super sculpey.
  3. Actually, Clover, my interest has almost completely faded, aswell. I understand the prospect of items being "collectibles", but when a toy is poseable, you should be able to pose it appropriately without having to fiddle with it for an hour, just to get it to stand right. The 5 inch modern figure was sculpted well -- the final product, on the other hand, is absolutely horrible. I also haven't seen one 3 inch classic sonic without bent limbs, and, while all of the ones with the tins look better, I'm not going to pay $15 for a figure that certainly isn't worth it. I'm indifferent about the line otherwise. The frustration is too difficult to deal with. I'm not going to give money to a company that doesn't know how to produce a decent toy.
  4. Yeah, I know, and the problem is that I'd want to try both, but if I buy D-Arts Rokusho, I want a Metabee to go with it. The koto kit has a really nice look to it. Some better articulation here and there, a long with nicer proportioning, but it's also harder to play with/pose. The very common kotobukiya balljoints that simply slide in. They're nice, but they shread a bit, and some of them pop off easily (this is only really with the hip joints and elbows). The thighs/upper arms aren't the slight grey that they are in the original design, either. I just layered it with a coat of grey primer, which worked, but it can still be annoying.
  5. I heard D-arts Metabee had some pretty poor articulation in comparison to most tamashii figures. I have the Koto kit, but I'm still very tempted to get the D-arts. How do you like it? Also, another tamashii-general collector *brofist*
  6. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sonic-Hedgehog-Amy-Figure-Christmas-Gift-OOP-Very-Neat-Jointed-/310347840951?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item48422c3db7 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sonic-Hedgehog-Sonic-Figure-Christmas-Gift-OOP-Very-Neat-Jointed-/310347840506?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item48422c3bfa >$49.99 wut
  7. http://www.ebay.com/...=item2a14482ed8 >attach keychain to back of head >sell on ebay Brilliant. Also, do the newer packaged/released 3 inch classic sonics look slightly better or.. is it just me? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sonic-Hedgehog-CLASSIC-SONIC-AMY-ROSE-figures-Jazwares-MOC-NEW-generations-/270823051199?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f0e4fcfbf
  8. I'm kind of disappointed that Jazwares skipped an upper leg swivel on the 10 inch classic sonic. I didn't really care for it that much to begin with, being that I hate the scale, but I would've been tempted if it had the appropriate articulation. Offtopic: final update on link's face:
  9. Well, I think 10" Classic Sonic is available now: http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-inch-SONIC-HEDGEHOG-retro-CLASSIC-1991-Collectible-Figure-NEW-/190580115187?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c5f75c6f3
  10. So, I'm unaware if anyone here knew, but there's a lightblue 5" classic sonic variant: http://images.4chan.org/toy/src/1316674022871.jpg
  11. EVERYONE READY TO PAY $400? http://www.ripten.com/2011/09/20/first-4-figures-link-on-epona-pre-orders-now-live/
  12. And, to anyone who cares, the start of my Skyward Sword link: Only finished the face. The hair is still moosh.
  13. I think I misworded that; it's too repetitive for my tastes.
  14. I got into them through Adventure, simply because I've never cared for sidescrolling games. Adventure seemed like an advancement -- honestly, I've never liked the original; you move the stick and jump, that's about it. There's no strategy involved, no general challenge. Sonic Adventure changed most of that, which is why I loved it.
  15. ...Wait. Are the majority of the levels on the 3DS going to be sidescrolling? Because, to be completely frank, I've NEVER liked sidescrolling in videogames. Oh, haha, it's COMPLETELY sidescroll-based. I guess I won't be buying that, then. There's really no point to the 3D technology if the entire thing is played from the side. That seems like a ridiculously large mistake on Sega's part. I'll be buying it for the 360, though.
  16. I'm very tempted to sculpt someone like Chaos or Gamma, simply because I doubt they'll be made.
  17. I've been seeing the 3 inch sonic classic figures at my local Gamestop. The limbs look flimsy as all hell on Sonic, not to mention the fact that the pegs for the hands/feet look like they're being pulled out a bit. I MAY pick him up sooner or later, but he definitely isn't a priority. Also, does anyone here have a Deviantart? My young link managed to get a Daily Deviation today, and.. uh messages-- messages everywhere
  18. Extremely offtopic, but, messy desks are the new thing. Make sure you adapt to this trend while it lasts, kiddies.
  19. Ew http://www.ebay.com/itm/Custom-DARK-SUPER-SILVER-Sonic-Shadow-Figure-Metal-Toy-/220844984965?_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D1%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D2569705151379526857
  20. Yeah, we were informed of that accouple of weeks ago, actually.
  21. Has anyone else noticed that a lot of the information displayed on SonicGear has been incorrect, lately? For example: http://www.sonicgear.org/USAPages/JazwaresGenClassic.html Second to last article: "Do you need a tin for some reason? Here's a nice one...with a re-issue of the classic 3 inch Super Sonic figure. They have decided to include a large metal tin with the figure. The tin has the 20th Anniversary logo, and the nice CG from Generations Classic as the art, over a checkered background. A good MIB item, as the figure is just a repeat from the Super Sonic 2 Pack. Photo discovered by Cfire176" http://www.sonicgear.org/USAPages/JazwaresSuperPosers.html The last article displays that there's quality control issues with Sonic Super Poser figures. While this is true, he provided an image as an example; the image is that of the new 10 inch sonic, not a super poser.
  22. The fact that robotnik can pull off the "head resting on hands", so god damn well, is phenomenal.
  23. It's apparently a little larger than the normal figma scale, which would mean it's still pretty small... But, as for the exact scale, I'm completely unaware.
