  1. A nice 6" One:12 scale line of LOST IN SPACE action figures based on the classic TV series is long over due. I sure wish some company would make them.
  2. Loving it! I never thought I would ever see action figures designed and based on the classic Filmation cartoons from when I was a kid. I only wish that they had plastic capes and better hip articulation. While I also prefer the better 1968 series versions (instead of these 1977 versions), these are close enough. I certainly hope there will be more waves. Heck, it would be a blast if McFarlane released more DC Filmation versions from the 1966 Superman series & the 1967 Aquaman series (which also had the JLA & Teen Titans).
  3. Wow, I never thought I would see an action figure line based on the classic Filmation animated Batman cartoon series. It appears to be based more on the 1977 revival series (instead of the original 1968 series) because of the pink (not green) suited Riddler and the addition of Bat-mite. Personally, the 1968 versions were better. Hopefully more characters will get released and maybe an accompanying animated version of the Batmobile? If McFarlane wanted to expand on the Silver-Age Filmation "look" of DC characters he would be able to pull from the 1966 "New Adventures of Superman" (which also featured Superboy) and the 1967 "Aquaman" series (which also featured the Justice League and Teen Titans). Fingers crossed!
  4. Now that Mezco has the GI Joe license, I wonder if they will ever consider making One:12 versions of the original 12-inch Joe Soldiers from the 1960's & classic Adventure Team of the 1970's? They could even come in reduced versions of their original coffin boxes. Perhaps as anniversary items? Or for that matter, Hasbro could do them for their 6-inch Classified line. Nostalgic and neat!
  5. Hiya Toys’ proposed Star Trek 4-inch figures look very good, however, as an “old school” fan, I’ll wait to see if they ever offer Original Series character versions. Starting the line primarily with the re-booted movie versions of the characters comes with the risk of whether it will “live long and prosper” for collectors to ever see future waves of other Star Trek shows. By comparisons: 1) Playmates redundant revamp of its 5-inch figures with a mix of characters from 3 different shows, seems to have evaporated; 2) McFarlane’s 7-inch attempt died after only 2 figures; 3) Art Asylum & Diamond’s 7-inch lines ended with waning general consumer interest and many collectors were left with incomplete crews. The problem for companies tackling Trek may stem from where to start? Time it and base it on a current show/movie? What scale? Personally, I would love to see a new 6-inch line (never before done for Trek) starting off with the more recognizable Original Series characters and present it akin to Star Wars Black Series where it could eventually grow to include a universe of Trek characters. Good luck Hiya!

Jada Toys has not shown any more offerings of their 6-inch Universal Monsters line. Is it cancelled? A while back, they showed a Mummy prototype. I was hoping it would be released. As a major character, the line is really left incomplete without him.
  7. While I am collecting Neca's GARGOYLES line and find the sculpt work to be excellent, I do find the WINGS on all the figures to be a PROBLEM, as follows: 1) The connecting peg that enters into the back of the figures are weak and cause the wings to drop down (especially with Goliath); and 2) They needed to be better engineered. Each wing should have been 2 pieces with a top joint to open, close & fold back into itself and not a permanent 1 piece open position. (Example: DC Universe Classics Hawkman wings). Perhaps Neca, realizing these problems, can later offer better replacement jointed wings (I'm not a fan of the only other option being the draped wings packed with Bronx). Otherwise, in the meantime, we'll have to find other solutions & plenty of shelf space.
