  1. Hey guys! It's Joe Amaro formally of Jazwares, remember me? I can't believe this thing is still going! Anyway I wanted to let you know that my 6yr old son has now discovered Sonic! And he wants all the toys I worked on. I saved some so he has them now. 11 years ago, I never imagined that my kid would be playing with the Sonic toys I (we) helped make!
  2. See I told you...it's been a year since I left Jazwares and I still pushed my buddies over there to give us Charmy Bee!!! His sculpt has been done for years now and finally he will see the light of day! I can now let Sonic go as my mission has been completed. LOL! Props to Jazwares and the Sonic team! Great idea by them to give them accessories too! The Black Knight figures are also a great idea! BTW...awesome that you guys have kept this thread going for years now! -Joe
  3. Hey everyone! I will be doing a pod cast with TheFwoosh.com this Friday. http://fwooshcast.thefwoosh.com/ If you have Sonic questions let them know!!! I do know anything about current line, but I can talk about the past. Ask whatever, I can be more open now Send them your questions, maybe on their Facebokk page? -Joe

  6. Hey guys, Yeah I was referring to the latest blog on SEGA. That has the most current information. So you know SEGA has told us "not now" to any characters from the comic books. I will keep asking though! We will not have Sonic SDCC exclusive, sucks! But I will be there walking around and doing meetings, we should meet up and chat about Sonic! Maybe at the SEGA panel or something? Speaking of which I will be going to the SEGA in San Fransisco right before Comic Con. I am excited to meet everyone in person and see all the cool new things...I'll give you the dirt! On a personal note, I started a blog, where you can find all my latest work and customs. The newest one is my Evil Horde Imp! Maybe I can post some Sonic work there as well? Check it out: http://joeamaro.blogspot.com/
  7. Thanks! I started a blog, where you can find all my latest work and customs. The newest one is my Evil Horde Imp! Check it out: http://joeamaro.blogspot.com/
  8. I wanted to show you my custom MOTU Shadow Beast. The design is based on the original Filmation cartoon. The base body is "The Pitt" from Legendary Comic Book Heroes. Click here for more pictures, whatch think? Shadow Beast
  9. Really quick, here is the link to the blog that SEGA is using. I think you guys should head over there and ask questions. They are trying to put together a Q&A section or list or something. I already got questions in that I will respond to in the coming days. So see you over there: http://blogs.sega.com/usa/2010/02/23/sonic-sega-all-stars-racing-toys/ -Joe
  10. Amy will not have accessories as I think she will be part of a Comic Book pack. But maybe later when we release her on regular card she can come with her accessory, good idea! Eggman is about 4in Big is about 4.25in We will be fixing the back of the packaging for sure. How do you guys feel about the JUVIs? -Joe
  11. Hello! So you know I love you guys I am in China right now working with our factories to address all your concerns and make sure we can ship more product and develop new product! Some updates for you guys: Just saw Silver, Werehog and Shadow in package...awesome! 3in Metal Sonic, Big and Eggman look great! So who do want next? Here is an new announcement, we got the approval on Super Poser Knuckles! The sculpt is great! But I removed the toe articulation as it cut the sculpt ugly, sorry. So do you guys like the clear figures? I love them but kinda seems like you guys don't. And as promised here is the protoype of Amy! Sega allowed me to show it to you guys, no one else has seen this! Enjoy, Joe
  12. This year I will be moderating the customizing fan group panel at Comic Con! With so many companies now supporting customizing I thought it would be a good idea to have toy industry professionals that customize as guests. I plan on having my S.N.A.K.E. 2.0 there, so if you are going please drop by to talk about customs and show off your work! 2:00 - 3:00 Customizing Action Figure Fan Group Join a group of customizers who are also toy industry professionals including Matt Doughty from Onell Design, Jesse DeStasio from Mezco Toyz, prototype painter for Marvel Legends Eddie Wires, Robert Torres freelance mold maker of former Art Asylum. From action figures to Urban Vinyl all will be discussed, pick their brains and get advise on how to take your customs to the next level. They will have their creations on display so bring your work as well, all scales, skill levels, all ages, all lines. The more the better. Moderator: Jazwares Art Director and customizer Joe Amaro. 13. Mogkok is the best for toys!
  14. So in Shenzhen I found a toy mall in the local martket. It is called comic book mall. They had a bunch of little shops that sell all kinds of toys. Tons of knock offs. I did see several Animated toys but they were out of the box clearly taken from the factory. I saw Grimlock which is big and bumblebee. I don't ply that so I did not pick any up. Earlier this week they released the Transformers Animated toys in Hong Kong and I picked up Leader Class Bulkhead, Bumblebee and Prowl. I got a bunch of other toys as well, I got the Medicom Kubrick V.I.N.C.E.N.T. from the Black Hole in Mongkok. I also saw Animated Blitzwing loose and Black arachnid loose. Did not pick those up. I have been several times to Hong Kong and the Hot Toys store in Mongkok always amazes me.
  15. Does anyone know where you can buy action figures in Shenzhen China?
