Yeah. I don't think the names had anything to do with their powers. It's like FMA(bad comparison, came out later I know) where the humonculi are named after sins that they don't actually reflect on their powers/personalities. Still, time to time sailor moon was a good anime to grow up on, but...not to talk about. As for FMA, the humonculi DO reflect their sins Gluttony=eats through anything Lust=Hot Envy=shapeshifter Pride=Has pride of his army Slouth=she is like water and is slow Greed=Greedy Wraith=has anger issues :OT: Anyway, let me clear things up for you: Gluttony means wanting more of what you already have but don't need. Lust is having a want for something you can't or don't have. Envy is being jealous of someone having something. Pride is thinking you or something you have is very important. Sloth is making others lazy by doing all the work yourself. Greed is wanting something and never sharing what you have. Wrath is destruction in retaliation. As for the characters... Gluttony eats everything, but never needed to eat in the first place, so he didn't have it to begin with in order to want it. Lust never wanted anything or anyone. She killed everything as a humonculi she wanted as a human, so showed she never wanted it as lust. Envy doesn't seem to be jealous over anything because he has it already. Pride...he doesn't seem to like his army at all, he just wants to kill them all off to serve the master. Sloth is supposed to be a mother, thus making the illusion that she works hard, but as a humonculi, she doesn't work hard in a way that makes others lazy. Greed never was greedy. (they specifically say that) Wrath is close...I don't know if I can say whether or not he fits it. So they all appear to fit it, but if you think about it, they don't.
