  1. Careful man, the butthurt crowd will vote you down because of toy envy. I'm tired of voting you back up.
  2. Yeah, I honestly didn't mind the Hawkgirls and Green Arrows (although Vash here helped me score a GA a few months ago); but for the love of Zod! No more Cirque de Soleil Aquaman, Flash, Captain Cold, Dr. Impossible, and Wonder Woman. @grumpy@
  3. Well the offending figures were still there; so I pointed it out to the fellow I usually see working in that section. He scanned the PG figure, outputted error. Also pointed out the JLU 3-pack. Hopefully some good comes of this.
  4. Gah! I say pick the one you like. I'm a sucker for Glow in the Dark figures; but I don't want to slight anybody who enjoys a figure that looks good in daylight.
  5. Even if this wouldn't fly at retail; I would be game for a Matty Collector exclusive package like this. Would love a DCUC Atrocitus! Don't hate, taste the Lantern Corps rainbow! DC really missed the mark in not getting some Blackest Night / Brightest Day Skittles marketing tie-ins. Maybe for the movies.
  6. Just wanted to put this out there. Go get some! Ordered mine. Cancelled my BBTS pre-order from 10/14/09. Cost per figure broke down to $16.57 a pop after shipping, which isn't bad considering retail on the flippin' things is now $14.99. @hmmm@
  7. Yeah. Fortunately the last few waves have been pretty nice, so I don't mind owning them all.
  8. Story of this line for me I'm afraid. If only I could drive to Columbus more regularly I'm sure I could find more. Yep! Still no word from BBTS on this wave, so Mattycollector it is.
  9. B'zzd Because he's a bug Green Lantern! Vath Sarn Because he's a bad ass Green Lantern. Sorry I picked two technically, but if you're reading the comics you'll know who the decision defaults to. Don't want to spoil it for anybody.
  10. Interesting. Fortunately the final product was enjoyable. Glad they didn't go the plainclothes route. That's so lame IMO, especially for known heroes.
  11. Hmmm I wonder if bringing this to the attention of the store manager would accomplish anything? At least get them to keep an eye out for weenies returning gobs of figures.
  12. Yep! It's not the re-release. It's the Wal-mart release. This isn't the first time I've seen some fishy stuff returned at this Target. Someone returned a JLU three pack, the one that came with Apache Chief. Only they replaced the the figures with Superman, Forager, and some other character that wasn't the one listed on the package. I thought it may have been an error, but I inspected the package and the bottom was tampered with. Someone devised a method of getting the tray out of the package without removing the card, swapped out the figures and then returned it. Those Jerks! @grumpy@
  13. How would that explain a Powergirl @ Target though? I've read tales of people buying up inventory at one store and dumping it at another to force re-stock. It's pretty clear that's what's going on here. Especially since whenever I scan a DCUC figure they show none in stockroom. Double check. Two Target stores here have reset their toy sections. DCUC have been moved away from the plastic horse / dinosaur bins and an aisle over to the new layout. Which is largely Iron Man 2 toys. DCUC should now be on the bottom shelf if your Target is still carrying them. What's WGH?
  14. I noticed this past week that there was a massive amount of DCUC figures on the shelves at the local Target. There was some stuff there that I've never seen before, Green Arrow, and Hawkgirl. Unfortunately there was a ton of old w7 junk and some W10 stuff. @hmmm@ Clearly some unscrupulous individual is using my local Target as the dumping ground to cycle inventory at their local store. I am mighty displeased at this development. @grumpy@
  15. I loved this show when I was in high school. Awesome intro theme by Danny Elfman as well. I bought the box set about a year or two ago when Borders was having a 50% off sale.
  16. WHAT?! Oh, that does blow. :| Ankle articulation is imperative for action poses. @grumpy@
  17. Judging by the amount of Power Girls warming pegs around here, I'm thinking no. Keep the Wildstorm stuff out of the DCUC line please. They're not icons. Make a seperate line for the kids that grew up in the 90's with those X-men ripoffs.
  18. As long as it doesn't fudge up the lovely sculpts we've been getting, I'm okay with it. As has been mentioned, I passed on the Marvel figures because the sculpts in conjunction with obvious points of articulation were pretty crappy. Also this is a nice incentive to repurchase the inevitable re-issues of Superman/Batman, etc.
  19. I feel like Wile Coyote and this line is the Road Runner. . . @grumpy@
  20. I hope there's a variant Guy. Sorry, I prefer his modern look. :\
  21. Target They had a wacky case. Going off memory they had: - Black Canary - Green Arrow - Deadshot - Hawkgirl - Shazam Store has been dry for a few weeks before then, with nothing but four Shazams and a Wonder Woman.
  22. Lucked out and found a Hawkgirl tonight. Amazing, here we are four waves past 8 and they're still popping up. No GG though. :\
  23. Had this problem forever. Don't get mad. Use the Internet for something other than b*tching online and do some DCUC shopping with it. And then google boobies or something to calm you down.
  24. The obvious answer would be for a non-scalper to agree to be a mule for folks looking. However that would take more cooperation than a lot of folks are willing to bother with. I helped everybody I could get everything they needed; and hopefully at some point karma comes back around for me. But yeah, that's probably the only way to clear this crap out of the warehouse. Short of Mattel recalling the overstock and selling it through MattyCollector; or perhaps those knuckleheads (Wal-Mart) should make the bloody things available for sale online. That will clear out overstock in no time.
  25. Draven: The word you're looking for is "consensus". Any way you cut it, no wave in this line has been easy to get by any stretch of the imagination. Although that could just be Northeast Ohio blowing ass as it's prone to doing so often. @grumpy@ Wave 5 was the worst though, only one Wal Mart carried it and every time I went there it was nothing but Riddlers warming the pegs. All I ever wanted was Amazo. :\
