This is bull #$##. Pure and simple. Why is Hasbro attacking their fans for stuff that is not hurting them in any way? I'll give $5 to anyone who at the Convention ask the Hasbro pricks what this crap is all about? This is not the first time they pulled crap like this.

That's why I just gave in and bought a pack off of ebay. There are assholes on there selling them for over $100. I got mine for $26.

Man this stinks! I've been going to Amazon.Com twice a day to look and see if they have these things and they sell out while I am at work! I knew this was going to happen. I'm starting to think that owning a Blue Shirt army is too good to be true. And this story about the guy buying 500 of these had better we false. Talk about hording! I have half the mind to get on ebay and bit $1,000 on every single auction and NOT pay. And then keep doing it, over and over each time they relist them. Do I sound disgruntled yet? @grumpy@
Oh well, back to the long waiting. I just there will be and end to it soon.

I find both of these figures to just be second rate versions of the originals. Especially the Alley-Viper. That thing is horrible. Why they didn't give him his face shield I'll never understand. Only thing I like about that figure is the removable knife on his chest.
Now the Viper is OK, but those colors are crap. What the hell were they thinking? I'll probably army build it if they put it in some decent more traditional colors but as for right now I'd rather have the Viper/Alley-Viper repaint pack that I was only able to find 2 of.

I want to see a Joe Infantry 6-Pack. Greenshirts. They could use the original Grunt's body but give them an all new head and helmet. Maybe give them some different arms too to buff them out a bit like they did the Cobra Troopers.

There is no definite answer about this. This is hasbro we are talking about here.
The way I figure it COBRA is NOT picky about who they let in the ranks. If you have no millitary experience or are not in shape etc. you get to be a Blue Shirt (most Cobras are). If you DO have millitary experience or some kind of real skill you get to be a Viper. Of course some Vipers specialize in a specific skill and make up the ranks of the Frag-Vipers, Flak-Vipers, Tele-Vipers etc.

The thing about Cobra Commander and his mask is that . . the Joes know who he is. They fight along side his son and have even meet his ex-wife. His file card says his name and birthplace are "Classified". meaning the Joes know but just aren't letting anyone else know.

I have not read this entire thread so I do not know what has all been said but I was in my local Wal*Mart yesterday and notice there was no space for 3 3/4" Joes in their reset. But then I noticed that they DID have 3 3/4" Joes in the set, just that they had them all the way down on the other side next to the wrasslin figures.

Clue #1: The Baroness is supposed to be hot. That fig looks hideous, and worse, she looks annoying, like someone you want to slap in the face before you even meet them. Definitely NOT "The Baroness"--someone seductive enough to @#% you over while you're oblivious. The Baroness' new face sculpt (made infinitely worse by the painted flesh) makes me feel like vomiting all over my computer screen.
Clue #2: The *ONLY* good thing about the new Beach Head is the sculpting on the lower legs, which, incidentally, don't go with the rest of his body whatsoever.
Clue #3: The paint schemes won't be changed much, if at all. Quit kidding yourself.
Clue #4: If you guys are willing to not only accept this tripe but actually pay for it, and then go above and beyond the call of patheticness and actually claim to like these . . . then you seriously need a new hobby . . . for the sake of your mental health.
That is all. Goodbye TNI . . . you and you members were so much cooler when you were ADC.

Is it just me or does this B.A.T. Look like Ultron of Marvel Comics fame all dressed up for an episode of Miami Vice?
I too feel that Swamp Rat looks exactly like the COIL scientists from the comic. I look forward to reading their filecards.

How about calling them "Old Sculpts" and "New Sculpts"?
Old Sculpts = 1982-2000 (and any figure produced during thoses years that has been rereleased).
New Sculpt = Any new figure mold from Wave 1 JvC and up.
After all they are ALL "G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero" . . says so on the packaging . . .

This figure looks almost exactly like the Version 2 Alley-Viper accpet not as good (save for the removable knife.) Throw in the fact that he lacks a shield and a mask and it makes him totally unapealing. Why buy this figure when I can get the latest Version 2 repaint (which kicks ass in comparrison)? The colors are even inferior to the last Version 2 repaint.

I've done buisness with that site a few times and have had no problems . . . HOWEVER I will say that when I first came to the online Joe community I had a website and on the guest book where it said, "Where did you hear about this site?" a "Corey Stinson" wrote, "Your mom last night.".
