  1. I'm not really digging these figures. The "Nullifier" (why did they go with that name?) is the only one that looks good really. Why does Scrap Iron have a blue collar when he is wearing a black shirt? he and the Alley-Viper are OK but the Night Creeper, Firefly, and Storm Shadow stink IMO.

  2. Why don't they just call that "Nullifier" Flak Viper? It's not like they can't use the name "Flak Viper", and that mold looks NOTHING like a Nullifier. I too am only interested in the Scrap Iron in this set and even then not all that much.

  3. I prefer the Neo-Viper. That is a cool look they have. The C.L.A.W.S. are like a cross between a H.E.A.T./Fast-Blast-Viper and the Crimson Guard. I don't know, I guess I just don't like idea of COBRA having "elite" troops to operate those stupid weapons they all come with.

  4. I have an old roating watch case that I keep my vintage figures in. It has 4 sides with 1- shelves each. You can fit about 4 figures on each shelf or more if you want to bunch them up. As for my new stuff . . I just have them all in a big bin.

  5. I just want to say as a collector I do NOT find the double packs to be more appealing to me. Why should I shell out extra money for a figure i do not want because it is packed with one I do want? This is especially a problem when army building.

I also think parents would be more inclined to pay $3.99 (single pack) for a toy than $7.99 (double pack). You have all seen it - kids in the toy section snatching up things - totally oblivious of the notion of price tags - their parents ask, "How much does it cost?" - the kid looks and says, "It's ONLY $7.99." - the parent is like, "$7.99 for a toy? NO! PUT IT DOWN!" - the kids starts throwing a fit and says, "I HATE YOU!"

  6. Hasbro had to cut cost by molding one of the figures in just one color with no paint. Snake-Eyes was the only guy who made sense to do this way. I think they originally planned for him to have green pants.

  7. Sounds cool but were the vehicles any different in the comics than they were as toys colorwise?

Oh and Cobra Commander didn't look like the Star Brigade figure when unmasked in the comics.

  8. I'm going to say the same thing I always say when this topic is brought up:

If the 12" stuff is done the way 12" collectors would want it becasue they are adults then the 3 3/4" stuff should be done the same way for us! People who played with G.I. JOE in the 80s are not kids. We are adults and should be treated the same as the 12" collectors. None of this "it's for the kids" crap.

Now with that said there IS 12" stuff that is "for the kids". That being the "Real American Hero" 12" stuff. Thankfully Hasbro has given us the comic 3 packs for us collectors. There should always be 2 3 3/4" Joe lines: One more for the kids - and one more for the collectors.

I don't care if they are the straight-arm or swivel-arm versions and figures need to have no broken parts, major yellowing, or major paint and/or joint wear. When I say I need a "complete figure" that doesn't mean I have to have every little antena or things like Firefly's green phone. But I do need the main acessories.

  10. Yeah you did the right thing by not paying since he would not respond to emails. It's so easy to start ripping people off on ebay so you gotta call 'em on it at the first sign of a scam. Email filters are no excuse IMO.

  11. The is a crap load of characters that I do not have. Such as Zap, Grand Slam, Thunder, Deep Six, Barbecue, Heavy Metal, Icerberg, Sci-Fi and others. I'm currently trying to get a basically complete collection of figures from 1982-1991 though I may be narrowing my goal to 1982-1986 for the time being. It's not all that hard to get the figures themselves on ebay but if you want them to be complete or mostly complete (and I do) that is another story.

  12. I have no Target stores in my area so it looks like I may be screwed just like with the Infantry 6 pack and there being no Toys "R" Us around here.

I'm already eyeballing ebay but I'm going to be paying AT LEAST $20.00 each (and that's not counting shipping). I'm also affraid to order from Brian's Toys due to the negative reputation they have here.
