  1. <<If this is true, then that would mean that Sidious trained Qui-Gon...and that he perhaps organized the whole meeting on Tatooine through Qui-Gon. This theory can be further expounded by the fact that Qui-Gon didn't disappear at the end of his life (because, to some extent, he was thrown in with the Dark Side). Of course, this theory can also be completely wrong.>>

It is wrong. It was NEVER stated that Syfo-Dias trained Qui-Gon. Dooku said that HE trained Qui-Gon.

In AOTC Syfo-Dias was said to be a member of the Jedi Council who was killed 10 years ago. Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Mace all confirmed this on screen. There is no way that Sidious was a Sith Lord, senator AND a member of the Jedi Council. The Jedi Council members would have recognonized him if not when he was a senator, when he became Chancellor.

Keep in mind again that we KNOW Syfo-Dias was a member of the Jedi Council. Now seeing as how he supposedly died there are really only a few options here as to who ordered the clones:

    1. Syfo-Dias is really alive and working for Palpatine/Sidious.

    2. Someone working for Palpatine/Sidious stole the identity of Syfo-Dias since he was dead.

    3. Sidious himself pretended to be Syfo-Dias.

Even if #3 is correct it has nothing to do with Qui-Gon Ginn and the 'true father' of Anakin. people have made way to big of a deal out of the Syfo-Dias thing.

  2. <<Oh yeah, and I'm pretty sure the idea for Luke and Leia as siblings was hinted in ESB, when Yoda says "there is another.">>

It is known that Lucasoriginally intended Luke's twin sister to someone we had not seen yet, not Leia. This new character would be the new hero of Episodes 7, 8, and 9 when looked DIED in Episode 6. If he had always intended it to be Leia there would not have been a kiss (at least I should hope not).

  3. Hey guys,

I was taking a break from joe collecting when these guys came out for financial reasons, so if anyone still has these lyign around or has an extra pack or two i'd love to get my hands on it.

    I can use 2-3 packs

PM me if anyone can help.

*laughs like that guy in 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' when Indy says, "You looking for me?"*

  4. I don't think there will be any revelation about the true father of Anakin. I think that whole idea stems from fans being too obsessed with the original trilogy and the whole "Luke I am your father." line.

Besides if Sidious or Tyrannus were the father the coincidence that they (Qui-Gon, Jar Jar, Padme, etc.) would end up on Tattoine after escaping Naboo and just happen to run into Anakin would be too far of a stretch for me. At least with the original trilogy Princess Leia was DELIBERETLY trying to get to Obi-Wan and THAT is why her path crossed with Luke (who was on the same planet as Obi-Wan becasue Obi-Wan obviously put him there).

  5. I've heard two speculations as to what "bringing balanceto the Force" means.

    1. By wiping out all the Jedi but 2 there is a balance between Jedi and Sith.

    Jedi - Obi-Wan and Yoda

    Sith - Vader and Sidious

    2. The Dark Side is like a sort of "cancer" on the Force that shouldn't be there and by destroying the Emperor in ROTJ he kills off the last of the Sith.

I don't see how that would destroy the Dark Side however.

While I'm thinking about, when the Emperor is thrown in that pit on the second Death Star all this energy comes shooting up. I always just assumed it was something technical that had happen after his body slammed into something down there. But now I am thinking Palpatine/Sidious was so powerful that all that energy was the Dark Side energy. What say you?

  6. *sigh* ive got one of the ones that have the words "Lucas", "Burtt", and "Fisher" (and one other one) on my ANH dvd. It happens almost everytime a new chapter starts, but it didnt start occurring until the scene with the sand person about to kill Luke. From then on it continued for about 45 minutes til I finally stopped the dvd completely and restarted it, only to start again towards the end, occasionaly.

did anyone elses disc do this? I had read on another board that this was occurring, but I dont think his persisted that long.

Its so annoying and I will probably take it back, maybe try Widescreen this time :/

I have the widescreen version and I noticed this happening when I was watching either TESB or ROTJ (I forget witch one exactly). I was screwing around with the "subtitles" button on my DVD remote when I first noticed it so it's possible that is all it was but even when I had all of that turned off the words continued at the top of the screen. I guess the bright side of all of this is there will be a reason to get the 6 disc set when it eventually comes out.

  7. I don't know . . . Obi-Wan seems to get a sort of funny look on his face when told about the droids. Kind of like he does know them but is pretending he doesn't. Of course maybe I am just seeing things as there is no way Alec Guniess did anything on purpose to suggest that.

What I DID notice (and others have pointed this out before) is in TESB where Chewie strangly has the broken C-3PO in his cell. Why would they give it to him? Later when Boba Fett goes to shoot Chewie after throwing some Stormtroopers down Vader keeps him from doing it. Why? Remember, C-3PO is riding on Chewie's back at this time. After seeing the prequeals it makes you think that Vader still remembers creating C-3PO and doesn't want to see him destroyed. But it's difficult to believe that Lucas had that planned all along.

Also, after they escape Cloud City on the Millenium Falcon, Vader tells his men to get ready to board them and set their guns to stun. Now I suppose he would have wanted them only stunned becasue Luke was aboard but the movie doesn't come across that he KNOWS Luke is on the ship until right after that scene so it is almost kind of confusing.

  8. I voted for #2 but I was thinking . . . if Geroge Lucas never does Episodes 7, 8, and 9 then how about doing it like they did Shadows of the Empire? They could release a novel, a comic book, a video game, and even a sound track all under the title of "Episode 7" and so on. And since they are talking about cartoons and what not they could do the "movies" as a series of cartoon episodes.

  9. I finally decided to watch A New Hope and so far the DVD has stopped and started all the way back over at the menu 4 times! Now this may just be my DVD player as it did this when I was watching Attack of the Clones a month or so back and that was the last movie I can recall watching on my DVD player.

  10. I think that small part of Hayden looking tormented and angry looked great, he may be good in this one, didn't Lucas say he cast him mostly for episode three before episode two came out? And I hear he's really good in that "shattered glass" movie, he may yet have a career in front of him.

You know I think one of Hayden's main problems in AOTC was that damn padawan learner haircut. Nobody looks cool in that.

  11. Yeah this Vamp II is like the Tiger Force vamp only in the colors of the original Vamp. So it is basically the original Vamp with the doors, roof cover, and misslel aucher of the Vamp II - in Vamp II colors. It also appears to have the Cobra Stinger decals (but in tan) on it but I am not for certain.

  12. FALCON

I broke down and used my digital camera to make these images since my scanner is broke down.

For pictures of Wraith just go HERE

The cover on the right is the one I'd rather Hasbro go with becasue:

    A) It features at least 1 of the characters who will be in the pack.

    and

    B) Having Flint on the cover would be confusing to people with Falcon being the figure included.
