  1. There was the Night Rhino (a repainted Warthog).
  2. They are real. Real crappy bootlegs. I'd buy 'em if i saw 'em at a dollar store though.
  3. I love how not one single Python Patrol character appears on the cover of the G.I. Joe vs Python Patrol issue. bad artwork too.
  4. If they do a total reboot I'm not sure I'm going to be interested. I mean I already know Snake-Eyes background. I don't want to have to sit through it again. This comic will more than likely just be the same stories done over again but with new tweaks that will ultimately just annoy me.
  5. They work fine with the new sculpt and classic RAH Joes.
  6. This is a well written post. I agree with most of it.
  7. A prequel with Harrison made up to look younger would be terrible. I say they should make a sequel but not have it be an "Indiana Jones" film. Have it be a Mutt Williams film with Indiana Jones appearing like his father did it Crusades.
  8. OK i finally saw this film and I have to say I love it! People online with their negative comments had me thinking it was going to be a disappointment but nearly each time something came on the screen that online folks were bitching about it ended up not being as bad as they were making it out. The CGI prairie dogs at the beginning looked fine. I thought they looked real. I however did not like that they showed back up 2 other times for seemingly no reason other than a cheap laugh. It had George Lucas' name written all over it. I think that was honestly my old real problem with the film besides some technical complaints; Technical Complaints 1. Mutt Williams swinging on the vines would have been better had he not been such a natural at it but it really wasn't all that bad. Reading people's comments had me thinking he was going to do the Tarzan yell. It was just a guy swinging on vines through the jungle. 2. The native warriors that came busting out of the one temple. I didn't really understand that. They broke right out of these little stone chambers as if they had been sealed in there since the temple was built. These did not appear to be zombie warriors. How did they survive in there? I mean if they were just normal guys then what do they do? Get one in the morning, eat breakfast, and then go seal them self in an ancient temple just in case someone comes waltzing through? 3. At the end where the big ship was coming up from under the ground and there was practically a huge tornado I thought it was unrealistic that Indy's hat just stayed on his head. He should of been holding it down as to keep it from flying off. It was surreal seeing Indy in that mock town with the nuclear blast. And the alien thing may have seemed off the beaten path but the paranormal is the paranormal. I might not rank it up there with the originals but the originals have a nostalgia factor and that is something this or any other Indy film will never be able to capture.
  9. How can you be a member of the SS and yet not be a Nazi? Hasbro is full of crap. I suppose the Russian soldiers are not communists either. Heh.
  10. These idiots realize it's just a movie right? This quote suggests otherwise: "It's rubbish ... In 1957 the communists did not run with crystal skulls throughout the U.S. Why should we agree to that sort of lie and let the West trick our youth?"
  11. I would love to see these again. And don't package them with figures! Action figures lines are about more than just the figures themselves.
  12. There is no way you can look at that suit Wayans is wearing and tell me that the stuff from the toys and cartoon cannot be done. If they can do Robo Joe then they can do Ripcord in a HALO jumpsuit.
  13. I have to say these are some of the first pictures from this movie that have truly disturbed me. First of all, Snake Eyes looks weird. And it's not just the mouth. It's weird that he has regular black plants on but his entire upper body is covered in that plastic armor. It looks like he is just a bald, shirtless guy who has been painted black. Then there is Wayans as "Robo Cop" (or should we say "Robo Joe"?). The Sigma Six like armor the Joes were all pictured wearing was one thing but this makes him look like a freaking cyborg. I wouldn't expect a Joe looking that unrealistic had this film been made during the Battle Corps years.
  14. *POSSIBLE MOVIE SPOILERS* I'm not sure about these Omega Force guys being movie figures. Why would they reveal Cobra Commander (the most mysterious character from the movie) so soon?. Also "Cobra TRPR" is apparently Cobra Trooper but it is my understanding that in the movie they are called Cobra Viper or Neo-Viper. You'd also think we'd get a movie Snake-Eyes first.
  15. Totally agree! And we're getting Gung-Ho, Beachhead, and Storm Shadow AGAIN, but where the eff are ZAP and SHORT-FUSE??? Come on, Hasbro! Finish the Original 13!!! Even do a half-assed job like you did with Grunt! Better than nothing! You need to get help dude.
  16. I read Ebert's review and he said it was good. I respect his opinion over younger reviwers who are just dying to give it a bad review because A ) George Lucas is involved and B ) it's another 80s franchise being brought back. Such people wrote their review of this film the second they heard it was being made and it involved the words "rape" and "childhood".
  17. The guy on the plane was the dude with the German spy with the squeaky voice. You know the one that shows up in Nepal and burns his hand on the headpiece to the Staff of Ra? It's been awhile since I've seen the film but I'm certain it was him.
  18. I think this guy was originally intended to show up in the Robot Rebellion line that never happened.
  19. I'll save my comments as to if this would be a terrible or great idea until after I have seen the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls.
  20. I'm not going to stay away from the theater just because some people are paranoid that if the movie does well that the 25th line will go away. I plan on seeing it no matter how bad it looks just so I can at least come back here and complain.
  21. So far I have just purchased one Indy figure.
  22. I never saw the 1985 Snake-Eyes.
