  1. Oh, wow... I can't believe this topic is still going (and my account is still active... avatar's gone for some reason, though). Obviously there's nothing new on the Jazwares front and I don't really care for Sonic Boom as a whole, so the Tomy figures don't interest me. However, earlier today I was going through some old stuff of mine and upon opening a storage bin, I discovered all my 3" figures and some 5" as well. I had pretty much everyone save for Blaze, Charmy, and the Free Riders ones beyond Sonic and Jet. It honestly brought back a lot of fond memories. For most of the things I collected growing up, I usually look back on it and think "Ugh, I can't believe I was into that." But for some reason, that's not the case with these. Despite all the faults Jazwares' figures had and their decline in quality, they still delivered an insane amount of characters that I never dreamed I'd see previously. It's still awesome to hold a figure like Silver or Espio or Super Sonic in my hands and know that these were actually made. I also remember joining this site over six years ago back before the 3" line started. I remember when Joe Amaro would pop in regularly and deliver news of all the upcoming figures and I'd get super hyped with everyone else here. Then I'd scour eBay for any new in-package shots. It was fun, to be sure. I guess I'm thankful that we even had a Sonic line like this and for all the good times I had on here. I seriously hope we can have an extensive SEGA!Sonic line again someday that we can all collect and talk about. Maybe for the 25th anniversary?
  2. Oh my GOD. It's been YEARS since we've seen any sort of new character in figure form, and I'm happy to say that the excitement is welling up inside me once again. 2012 is going to be an awesome year with Blaze and Rouge, figure packs with accessories, and the Black Knight figures. Also, during my downtime I've been playing some Sonic 4 Episode 2 and working to get all A's in school, for my parents would allow me to get a PS Vita if I can pull it off. Fingers crossed, haha.
  3. Remember those vanilla figures we saw in front of the repackaged F4F collector's set during Toy Fair? According to the Jazwares Facebook page, they are finally released, as seen in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jICNKt2DJ9s Although I personally won't be picking these up because they aren't poseable, they're not bad! The paint jobs seem in order and the head sculpts are spot-on as usual (except for Shadow's eyes...). They seem like vastly improved versions of the Gacha figures from last year, and they would go with the F4F pack quite nicely. My only qualm is that they should have used a modern Super Sonic instead of Shadow to better compliment the F4F pack.
  4. It seems Jazwares did release a concrete statement a few hours later (in spite of their trolling): So it's official, guys. We are getting 3" Classic Knuckles in 2013!
  5. Oh man, I was totally waiting for that pic, too. XD I don't know whether to laugh or to rage.
  6. Oh man, I LOVE the Resaurus E-102. I managed to snag one off eBay back in '08. The main thing I love about it is just how much stuff they allow you to do with him compared to the rest of the line. You could swivel his waist, rotate his yellow head area, move the white plate from his midsection, move the metal wire under his arm cannon, and even remove his jetpack and eye-camera. All this and it still came with a base, ring, and "sticker" like the other figures. Just an excellent figure. Man, I hope those 3" figures-with-accessories listings from a while back are real, because talking about these old Resaurus figures is REALLY making me want accessories again...
  7. Haha, as do I; that's where I saw it first. I was just reposting it here for those who follow the forum but don't check the Facebook page. ...Is there anyone like that here, I wonder?
  8. Guys, that's not the only new thing we're getting! http://www.toywiz.com/sonic20anniv.html Look at the very bottom. Apparently Silver is also getting a Super Poser. I'm actually very curious to see this. About a page too late, buddy.
  9. Oh, there's more screenshots where that came from, guys. Haha, I was thinking the EXACT same thing. In fact, that was one of the first things I looked for when I saw the re-released 20th Anniversary figures. I saw the picture and was like, "Oh, I wonder if they fixed the Lblis Bi-- nope."
  10. FINALLY, pics! I was getting a bit nervous there. I can't wait to finally be able to get Charmy (and maybe the new modern PVC 6-pack), but I agree, it's disappointing to see no Rouge, Blaze, Classic Knuckles, or Classic Metal. And since Joe isn't around anymore, we may not get a spokesperson to tell us just what we will be getting this year. :/ Although, there is one upside to a light reveal this year: more money in our pockets. I'll be able to get the Chaotix 3-pack and still be able to save up for bigger stuff (namely a Mac and some new PS3 games), which is nice. I was just thinking that! Come to think of it, a "Team Dark" pack would be the PERFECT opportunity to introduce Rouge and Omega as 3" figures (I honestly wouldn't mind re-buying Shadow as I only have one of him anyway).
  11. Man, it's bugging me how everyone is skipping over the Sonic items for some reason. Toyark has a whole gallery with literally ALL the Jazwares items...except for Sonic. There are even some photos with the Sonic display in the background (although nothing new-- just the 20th anniversary toys), but it's like they don't even notice it. I hope they're planning to revisit it soon. EDIT: Here is the photo in question: Like I said, nothing new. Except... is that a Metal Sonic plush?
  12. Hoo boy, guys. Hoo boy. We might be getting playsets after all. I was hunting for Sonic figure news during the UK Toy Fair that's currently going on, and I stumbled upon this article: http://www.guardian....s?newsfeed=true No pictures, but look at the last paragraph: This Toy Fair CANNOT come fast enough. EDIT: Ah, it appears Meccano is a construction toy company, and they are the ones who will be making the playsets, not Jazwares. Whoops. But still! Excited to see what they look like.
  13. Alright, guys...I do have new stuff to share this time! Firstly, an image of Wave has finally appeared. It can be found on ToyWiz under the general Sonic figures category (the other Free Riders figures are also pictured): http://www.toywiz.co...criderwave.html Secondly, it appears that Jazwares is doing a Sonic Generations commemorative statue: http://www.bigbadtoy...161&mode=retail Not only does it look spot on, but this would be a great buy for us Americans who missed out on the statue from the collector's edition (even though the poses are different). Another thing I notice, as well: Jazwares seems to have used a completely new, Sonic Generations-themed packaging for the statue here. Does this mean there could be new Sonic Generations figures in the pipeline? I can't imagine them using a whole new style of packaging just for one item.
  14. Just an update-- not in regard to a new figure, but a 20th Anniversary repackaging. Kmart stores are now apparently selling individually-packaged versions of figures from the F4F 6-pack, and they are being offered for free with the purchase of a Sonic video game. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Super Sonic are currently available, but there are no signs of Amy or Metal Sonic yet. This is a photo from Jazwares' Facebook page (coming from a Kmart in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico): Is it me, or is Jazwares doing a lot of repackaging, combining, and splitting up when it comes to the 20th Anniversary line? So far we have the deluxe set which combines six previous figures, the Classics collectors set which combines four previous figures, the Shadow and Silver comic book pack (despite their "exclusive paint"), and now this. While I have nothing at all against this practice, I'm just seeing it happening more often from them lately. Maybe they just have a surplus of figures to sell right now?
  15. I return from my long absence (even though I've been lurking this whole time ) to see this Nendoroid, and...wow. I think it's safe to say I've found my next Christmas present. I was a bit iffy on the figure when it was first announced during the summer, but...those accessories, man. All these bells and whistles and attention to detail show that Good Smile really did their homework when making this figure. But that aside, I don't just want it for the accessories. The figure looks really cool in a quirky sort of way, and the interchangeable parts are an excellent addition. Still, I would've KILLED to have a customizable item box and checkpoint accessory as a kid. ;_; Before I shamelessly ask my parents for a pre-order, though, I have a few questions (as I'm not very well-versed with Japanese figures): 1. Does the figure come with the clear square base and the curved posing tube like in the pictures? 2. Will the ring and Chaos Emerald accessories include their own supports like in the pictures? 3. AmiAmi's website only shows the price in yen. Will this convert to USD when shipping to the United States?
