stikfas are one of my favorite new toys in some time... a great creative new idea, that promotes creativity. plus it's absolutely AMAZING how poseable (and well balancing) these figures are! but I think it's great to see them, especially when I haven't seen a good NEW IDEA in toys in a while. I'm not saying I dislike the rehashing of old classics, like joes. heck, my JOB relies on THEM being cool... but I've seen STIKFAS selling to people who don't even collect anything... they're just really really fun.

the "Now you Know" book isn't a trade paperback, it's a book about GI Joe, the toys, the comics, and the cartoons. If I recall, it tells the storylines of the comics and toons, and is just overall a great "in a nutshell" book for a hobby. the writer has done acclaimed books of the sort for Dr. Who and Transformers... so your best bet is to go to one of those forums and ask about the books by Mad Norwegian Press. the GI Joe book is actually not out yet (hence the preorder) but is going to press next week.

personally I hope to see it too, as long as it's not a funskool rerelease... as the mold is already so fragile. I just put together a funskool CLAW and the rubber is so crappy on the wheels. you have to be quite careful... the stuff displays great, but play-quality is hurting. Funskool should get sturdier, less rubberygreasy plastic... and all retailers who sell that crap should be strung up and have their entrails torn out of them with a broken funskool vehicle of their choice. @-@ I choose the hovercraft. aka: floating yellow box. (how on earth did they go from the W.H.A.L.E. to THAT thing. gah) @*-
